The Tyco/American Dynamics has two models with different
operation for each. This User Guide is for Model A. The
Model A can be identified by the operation of the onboard
DVR. When accessing the onboard DVR, the Model A
version will prompt for a password.
The Model A version can also be identified by the use of
two remote controls. The larger remote is for the operation
of the ePVM while the smaller remote is used to operate the
onboard DVR.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. Power supply unit supplied with this product must be earthed. Socket types vary between countries,
ensure that plug matches the socket correctly for the earth pin.
2. Use only an LPS rated PSU with voltage and current ratings suitable for the requirements listed on the
product label.
3. Do not block or cover ventilation openings on the back or bottom of the monitor cabinet.
4. Do not place this monitor near a radiator or heating vent.
5. Do not push objects of any kind through cabinet openings. This may result in fire or electrical shock.
6. Before adding attachments always ask a service technician to perform routine safety tests to
determine that equipment is in safe operating condition. Ground potential tests should be part of the
routine safety check made by the service technician.
7. This monitor is intended to be secured to a surface with the mounting supplied, it should not be
installed unsecured on a desktop, follow the bracket installation instructions in “Mounting” section.
8. Route power cords so that they cannot be walked upon or tripped over. Do not allow anything to rest
on the power cord.
9. This product is intended for indoor use, do not use where it may be exposed to water droplets
10. Unplug the power cord from the unit before cleaning the display. Use only a damp cloth. Do not use
alcohol, spirits, or ammonia to clean the display.

13. The display has a dual power inputs for 24V DC, including screw terminals and a plug-in jack. DO NOT
use the supplied PSU at the same time as any other PSU.

15. Unplug the unit immediately and notify the service technician.
i. If liquid has been spilled into the display or the display has been exposed to rain or water.
ii. If the unit has been dropped or the cabinet damaged.
iii. If fuses continue to blow.
iv. If the power cord is damaged or frayed.
v. If a distinct change from normal operation is apparent.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to dismantle this product. Any attempt to dismantle or remove the covers
from this product will invalidate the warranty and may also result in serious injury

1 Introduction
Packing
This manual explains how to correctly install, operate and get the best performance from your monitor.
Please read this user manual carefully before installing your monitor then keep it near your monitor for
quick reference.
First, please check that the contents of the box correspond with the following checklist:

The convenient and user-friendly on-screen display allows for easy and accurate adjustments of
screen size, position and screen color.
The monitor features Advanced Color Controls for fine-tuning to meet your own personal tastes or
application requirements. Use the on-screen controls to adjust the color temperature,

Inserting batteries into the remote control unit
Open the battery compartment of the remote control. Insert the batteries (two 1.5V type R03 or AAA).
Make sure that the polarity matches with the (+) and (-) marks inside of the battery compartment.
Note:
To avoid damage from possible battery leakage, remove the batteries if you do not plan to use the
remote control handset for an extended period of time.
Batteries should last more than 2 years with normal use.

OSD function
Configure the monitor using the onscreen display (OSD) menus and submenus. Changes are immediately
saved and implemented.
INT.CAM menu
Picture
(Advanced Setting)
1. Picture Mode
Select the picture mode.
2. Brightness
Adjust the brightness of the image.
3. Contrast
Adjust the contrast of image, the difference between light and dark areas on the screen.
4. Color Mode
Adjust Color of image.

5. Sharpness
Adjust the display image quality (if the screen proceed to scaling up).
6. Tint(cam mode only)
Adjust the Tint of image.
7. Color Tone
Choose a different preset color temperatures or set your own customized color parameters.
8. Advanced Setting
8-1 Noise Reduction
Reduce the noise in the picture due to poor reception or poor picture quality.
8-2 Back Light
Adjust the back light to be brighter or darker.
8-3 DCR(Dynamic Contrast Ratio)
Turn DCR on or off.
8-4 DCC(Dynamic Contrast Control)
Turn DCC on or off.
8-5 H-Position
Adjust the position of the display horizontally. (left or right)
8-6 H-Size
Adjust the width (horizontal size) of the screen image.
8-7 V-Position
Adjust the position of the display vertically(up or down).
8-8 V-Size
Adjust the height (vertical size) of the screen image.

Select language for OSD.

Select the aspect ratio.
3. OSD Time out
Adjust the display time of the OSD menu.
4. OSD Transparency
Adjust the OSD Transparency.
5. Power on status (not used)
Decide to select working status of product Set when turn on main power.
6. Blue Screen
The monitor will display a blue screen when it has no signal or when the source has been changed.
7. Video Standard
Select the CVBS mode.

Monitor is turned off when it did not receive any signal from remote control or any button within the
time that you set up.(The screen warning is showed before automatic shutdown time that you set up)

Reset the screen to the factory preset display settings.
Lock

Turn keypad lock on or off.
2. Remote Control Lock
Turn Remote Control lock on or off.
Motion
1. Motion
Turn on or off motion.

2. Motion Duration
Set duration time for Int. Cam when motion is occurred.
When Motion is off, motion duration, motion logo, flashing logo, flashing LED are disabled.

Select motion Logo.
4. Flashing Logo
Select flashing o static overlay logo.
5. Flashing LED
Turn on or off flashing LED.
6. Alarm
Not used.
7. Beep
Not used.
Note
After changing source mode from DVR to Int. Cam, then turn motion “on”, screens will switch between
DVR and Int. Cam when motion is occurred.
To switch screen between MMP & Int. Cam, please follow the directions below.
1) When “Motion is On” in the menu
a. Click the source button on remote and change to MMP mode.
b. Once screen changes to MMP mode, Screen will switches between Int. Cam & MMP when
there is a motion.
2) When “Motion is Off” in the menu.
a. Click the source button on remote and change to MMP.
b. Click the menu button and select motion icon.

c. Click the OK Button and enter into sub Menu.
d. Change motion to “on”

4 Multi Media Player
1. Connect SD card
Insert the SD card to SD card slot.
※Once the SD card is inserted the multi media will be played.
※Only one type of extension should be saved on the SD Card to play
the file.

5 How to Use the Camera
Accessing the Camera OSD Board
The access device of the camera and OSD board is located at inside of the unit, as shown below,
1) Use a wrench to loosen the two screws of bottom side
2) Open the camera door

Setting
1.Press the SET button
ㆍSettings can now be made. The SETUP menu is displayed on the monitor.
2. Select a menu item from the list available by using the UP and DOWN buttons.
ㆍFunctions are selected using up and down buttons.
ㆍThe selected position is displayed in Yellow.
3. Press the LEFT or RIGHT button to change modes.
ㆍWhen the LEFT or RIGHT button is pressed, available values and modes are displayed in order. Keep
pressing the button until you get to the mode you wish to select.
4. Select 'EXIT' and then press the SET button to exit the set up menu.
Note
If mode is selected, it means that there is a sub-menu which can be selected by pressing the SET
button.

This function is to adjust the focus of Lens.
