
1. Preparation
Storage / transport
The rafts must always be stored on a dry and flat surface.
Mechanical stress (impacts etc.) can cause damage to the
product.
Handling
During transport and installation of ceiling rafts, the rafts
must always be carried by two people. When removing the
packaging and at all times when working with the rafts,
clean white cotton gloves should be worn.
Note
The following steps apply to both round and square ceiling
rafts, regardless of the design.
Preparation work
The fixing centres for round and square rafts (figure 1.1)
are A = 600mm.
The distances are transferred to the desired fixing positions
(figure 1.2). For this purpose, the supplied template can be
used.
Depending on the soffit material and type of fixing, drilling
may be necessary (figure 1.3).
The included ceiling fixings feature an M6 internal thread
(figure 1.4) for installation to the ceiling (soffit).
Fixings
Suitable fixings should be chosen for the specific installation
and the type of soffit in consultation with the screw/plug
manufacturer.
Possible fixing:
