Amiga 1000 with Piggyboard
First you have to cut the conductor path between PAL DAUGCAS position U6J Pin
17 and 74LS373 position U4K and U4H Pin 1. Alternative you can cut Pin 17 of
PAL DAUGCAS so it has no contact to the board. Now you have to solder two
wires from 74LS373 position U4K Pin 1 and U4H Pin 1 to the Kickstart Adapter
position 1 and position 2. These steps are necessary to deactivate the 256kb
WOM area.
Next step is to change the jumpers on position W2 and W4 like it is showed on
the picture below:
x = cut here
Finally you have to solder two wires, one wire from PAL DAUGCAS position U6J
Pin 2 to the Kickstart Adapter position 4, the second wire from PAL DAUGCAS
position U6J Pin 9 to the Kickstart Adapter position 3.
Now you are ready to fit the Kickstart Adapter into position U5P and U5N on the
mainboard. Before installing a Kickstart ROM and switching on the Amiga please
double check all steps.
