The Protection Panel for Barco MDSC-8258 &
Barco MDSC-8358 is designed to protect Barco
MDSC-8258 & Barco MDSC-8358 from being
damaged, scratched, or otherwise harmed. The
protection panel is designed to slip over your
pre-existing monitor quickly and easily.

• Protection panel is made of high grade Acrylic Plastic, allowing for full visibility while offering protection
from high impact and chemicals that might otherwise damage or obscure your monitor.
• Easily placed and removed and slips over Barco MDSC-8258 & Barco MDSC-8358.

1. Before you begin verify that you’ve:
- Put on the provided cotton gloves to protect your unit during installation.
- Cleaned the monitor.
- Confirmed that there are not any obstructions that might interfere with the installation.
2. Remove the top layer of foam in your box. Take your new protection panel out of the
box and set it on a clean, even surface. DO NOT REMOVE THE WRAPPING WITH
SHARP OBJECTS. This can damage your protection panel. Instead, use your hands to
remove the wrapping carefully.
3. Examine your protection panel. Verify everything shown in the diagram on the next page is
there and perfectly functional.
4. Identify what each object on the protection panel is defined as shown to the right.

INSTALLATION GUIDE
1. These instructions are meant for installation on the detached monitor as it sits on a flat
surface. If you are installing the protection panel on a mounted system, please do the TOP
before you do the bottom, and take care to hold the monitor up during the installation.
2. Take note of the locations of the screw inserts and mount slots.
- The top of your unit will have 8 Mounting Slots, and four screws distributed in the middle.
- The bottom of your unit will have 4 evenly distributed screws.
3. Place the monitor on a clean, even surface with the screen facing towards you. Begin by
using the included Allen Key to remove ONLY the screws marked in the next page.
These are marked as “2. Screw Inserts (Top)” and “3. Screw Inserts (Bottom)” on the
previous page.

1. Once all of the top and bottom screws are removed, place your protection panel over the
monitor. Ensure that the Mounting slots and the screw inserts line up with the slots on your
monitor.
2. Use the x8 enclosed screws that Ampronix included to secure your monitor.
We (recommend) using the enclosed screws to ensure your protection panel is secure.
Use the Allen Key to tighten them hand tight.
3. Stow any spare screws and parts in the enclosed packaging, and set up your monitor
accordingly.

The top of the screen protector will have 12 Inserts, 4of which are screw inserts.
The bottom of the screen protector will have 4inserts, 4of which are screw inserts.
