１．概要
ＡＤ－８９２０Ａは、計量データを表示する外部表示器です。下記のＡ＆Ｄ製 計量機器（電子天びん・台秤）
のＲＳ－２３２Ｃ またはカレントループを利用してデータを表示します。

２．準備
１）計量機器側の設定
①計量機器のデータ出力モードを“ストリームモード”にして下さい。
②その他の設定は、下表を参照して確認して下さい。

出力（ハードウェア） RS-232C 出力またはｶﾚﾝﾄﾙｰﾌﾟ出力 AD-8920A は、RS-232C
、ｶﾚﾝﾄﾙｰﾌﾟを自動で識別します。
注） 計量機器によっては設定項目がない場合があります（設定が固定の場合）。
具体的な設定方法は、計量機器側の取扱説明書をご参照下さい。
２）接続
①上記の「表１」を参照し、通信ケーブルが正しい物かどうか確認して下さい。
②上記の「接続図」を参照し、計量機器と AD-8920A を通信ケーブルで接続します。
計量機器、AD-8920A 共に AC アダプタを接続しない状態で通信ケーブルを接続して下さい。
３．表示
１) 計量機器側とＡＤ－８９２０Ａの電源を投入して下さ い 。（ 使用する AC アダプタを間違えないで下さい。）
一旦全点灯した後、送信された計量データを表示します。また、計量値の状態は▼マークで示します。

注）他の計量単位の場合、単位を示す▼マークは点灯しません。
２)オーバーロード時は、 または 表示になります。
３)計量データを受信しない場合、 - - - - - - - またはブランク 表示になります。
４) 計量機器を接続せずに電源を投入すると、全点灯表示を保持します。
４．保守、トラブル
１）手入れ
汚れたときは、ガーゼ等柔らかい布で拭いて下さい。シンナー等の溶剤は使用しないで下さい。
２）表示の明るさにムラがある場合
計量機器を接続せずに電源を投入すると全点灯になりますので、このまま数時間放置した後、
ご使用下さい。
３）正しく動作しない場合（修理ご依頼前に、下記の点をお確かめ下さい。）
・正しい AC アダプタを使用していますか？
・ケーブルはしっかり接続してありますか？
・計量機器側の通信条件は正しく設定されていますか？
（特に、 出力モードはストリームモードに変更してありますか？
データ設定はＡ＆Ｄ標準フォーマットになっていますか？）
・計量機器から計量値以外のデータ（日付、時刻、ID ナンバ等）が出力されていませんか？

1. Introduction
The AD-8920A is a remote display for displaying the weighing data transmitted by an A&D
manufactured weighing instrument, using either RS-232C or current loop. Applicable weighing
instruments (electronic balances/platform scales) are listed below.

2. Preparation
2-1. Setting the weighing instrument
(1) Set the data output mode to “Stream mode”.
(2) For the other settings, refer to Table 2.

2-2. Connecting the AD-8920A
(1) Refer to Table 1 shown above to confirm that the communication cable is of the correct type.
(2) Disconnect the AC adapter from both the weighing instrument and the AD-8920A.
Refer to the connection diagram shown above to connect the AD-8920A to the weighing
instrument, using the specified communication cable.
3. Display
3-1. Confirm that the AC adapter is of the correct type. Connect the AC adapter each to the weighing
instrument and the AD-8920A to turn the power on.
All of the display segments of the AD-8920A illuminate, and then the weighing data transmitted
from the weighing instrument appears. The status of the data is indicated by a triangle (▼).

3-2. If the weighing data is overloaded, or appears.
3-3. If the data receiving procedure is interrupted, ------- or (blank) appears.
3-4. If the power is turned on without a weighing instrument connected, all of the display segments will
remain illuminated.
4. Maintenance / Troubleshooting
4-1. Cleaning
For cleaning, wipe the AD-8920A with a soft cloth. Do not use solvents such as thinner.
4-2. If the display brightness is not even:
Turn the AD-8920A on without the weighing instrument connected. All of the display segments will
illuminate. Leave the AD-8920A this way for a few hours.
4-3. If the AD-8920A does not function properly: (Before asking for repair, check the following.)
・Is the AC adapter type correct?
・Is the cable connected firmly?
・Are the weighing instrument settings correct?
(Particularly, has the data output mode been set to stream mode, and the data format to A&D
standard format?)
・Is data other than the weighing data, such as time or ID number, being output?
