IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
DANGER-Misuse of electrical equipment can cause electrocution, burns, fire
and other HAZARDS
Basic safely precautions should always be taken, including all those listed below.
Close supervision is necessary when the Blood Glucose Monitoring System is used by, on, or
near children or invalids.
READ THIS BEFORE USINGTHE EQUIPMENT
Check that the voltage setting matches the supply voltage.
Switch off the MAINS supply switch immediately after use.
Do not placement the Blood Glucose Monitoring System in liquid, nor put it where it
could fall into liquid.
Use the Blood Glucose Monitoring System only for the purpose described in the
instructions for use.
Do not use accessories which are not supplied or recommended by the Andon.
Do not use the Blood Glucose Monitoring System if it is not working properly, or if it has
suffered any damage.
Do not let the Blood Glucose Monitoring System come into contact with surfaces which
are too hot to touch.
Do not block test ports nor place the Blood Glucose Monitoring System on a soft surface
which might block them, and keep test port free from lint, hair, fluff .etc
Do not place anything on top of the Blood Glucose Monitoring System.
Unless specifically instructed to do so by the instructions for use, and do not drop or put
anything into any opening in the Blood Glucose Monitoring System.
Do not use the Blood Glucose Monitoring System where aerosol sprays are being used,
or where oxygen is being administered.
The machine clean and taking good care of at the regular intervals , eliminating a
bloodstain , spreading crumbs , dust and so on.
The blood glucose monitoring system has gone through the EMC test.
The device can be reused, do not discard anywhere.
The system which belongs to List B has an internal power.
Do not use the device in the condition where mix of flammability air.

AG-605A Blood glucose meter

Principle
Glucose in blood sample mixes with chemicals on the test strip producing a small
electrical current.

AG-605A blood glucose Monitoring System is designed to provide an easy, accurate
method for determination of your blood glucose level within 5 seconds. 350 test
records with respective date and time help to review the blood glucose trend easily.

Limitation of using
The blood monitoring system is not intended for use on artery blood, neonates’
serum and plasm.
Caring for yourAG-605A Blood Glucose Monitoring System
Clean the meter
Please store the meter in the caring case after each use. A cloth dampened with
water and mild detergent can be used to wipe down the outside of the meter.
Professional
The cleaning liquid include 10%bleacher, 70%alcohol and 10%ammonia.
Warning
Avoid cleaning top of the test strip
Avoid making the liquid into the test strip and the button
Avoid getting water or any other solution inside the meter
Blood Sample
The fresh capillary vessel whole blood (finger tip blood) or vein blood .
Potential risk
When testing over two patients, the professional should use gloves and obey the
necessary step to avoid infecting.
Warning:
Following the recommend of the professional when use the blood glucose
monitoring system. Please consult the professional if have some questions about the
test result. Do not diagnose by yourself according to the test result without
professional permission.

Meter Screen Display Message
The method of fixing battery
1、Slide and remove the battery cover according to the graphical representation direction
2、Insert two AAA size batteries, and confirms well positive and negative extremely.
3、Slide battery cover back into place.
Note: Discard the used battery according to the local law.
Test Strip
The Test Strips are designed to work only in conjunction with the Glucose Meter.
Each strip can be used only once. The Glucose AG-605A Test Strip consists of the
following parts:

Note:
Please check test strip indication for use, which indicates test strip’s use life, storage
condition and operational step.
Setting Up the Date, Time and Unit of Measure
1. Start with the Meter off. Long press the S button. The Meter is now in the
setting mode.
2. The last two digits of year will flicker (for example: “y09” equals 2009).
Short press and release the MEM button until the correct year appears.
3. With the correct year on the display, short press the S button and the month
setting appear. Short press and release the MEM button until the correct
month appears.
4. With the correct month on the display, short press and release the S button
to bring up the date setting. Short press and release the MEM button until
the correct date appears.
5. With the correct date on the display, short press and release the S button to
bring up the time setting. The hour setting will be the first. Short press and
release the MEM button until the correct hour appears.
6. With the correct hour on the display, short press and release the S button
and the minute display will appear. Short press and release the MEM
button until the correct minute appears.
7. When the correct minute is on the display, short press and release the
MEM button to bring up the Unit of measure display. Short press and
release the MEM button until the unit (mg/dL or mmol/L) that you prefer
appears. Your meter was set to the unit generally used in your country in
our factory.
8. After set the correct unit, short press and release the S button and the unit

of temperature will appear. Short press and release the MEM button until
the unit (℃or ℉) that you prefer appears.
9. Short press the S button to choose whether to delete the memory. Short
press and release the MEM button to delete the memory and the meter will
automatically power off. If you don't want to delete the memory, short press
the S button directly to turn off the meter.
10.When you change the batteries, you have to readjust device parameter.
Coding the Meter
Code meter before using it for the first time and every time you change
another vial of test strip. With the meter turned off, insert the code card and
pull out after the OK appears on screen.
Before code the meter, make sure the test strip have not expired.
Testing Your Blood Glucose Level
Before testing, you will need the following items:
Glucose AG-605A Meter
AGS-1000 test strip
Adjustable Automatic Lancing Device
Sterile Lancet
CAUTION:
To reduce the chances of infection:
Choose a clean, dry work surface.
Never share a lancing device and lancet with another person.
Always use a new and sterile lancet. Lancets are for single use only.
Always use a new Test Strip. Test Strips are for single use only.
Avoid getting lotion, oils, dirt or debris in or on the lancet and lancing device.
Step 1
Wash hands using soap and warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
Step 2
Make sure you have coded the meter and loaded the needle into the lancing
device.
Step 3
Remove a Test Strip from the vial and replace the cap on the vial immediately.
Step 4
Insert the test strip into the test strip slot of the meter. The meter turns on
automatically, and the code number appears on the screen.

Step 5
When the blood drop symbol flashes on the meter, it means that you can start
testing. You have 3 minutes to apply the blood sample. If you do not apply the
sample within 3 minutes, the meter will turn off automatically.
Obtain a Blood Sample
Sample may be obtained from finger as the following procedure:
1. Remove the end-cap of the lancing device by gently turning and pulling
straight out.
2. Insert the lancet into the lancet holder.
3. Twist and remove the protective, lancet cover to expose the sterile needle
tip.
4. Replace the end-cap back on the body of the lancing device.
5. Pull back on the cocking mechanism until it comes to a stop.
6. Place the lancing device firmly against the sample site and press the
release button.
7. After sampling, remove the end-cap containing the used lancet.
8. Remove the lancet from the lancing device. Discard the used lancet
properly in accordance with local, state, and federal law.
Step 6
Pick up the meter and use the most comfortable way to touch the blood drop to
the edge of the test strip. The blood will be sucked into the test strip
automatically.
Step 7
As soon as enough blood has filled the confirmation window of the Test Strip,
you will hear a beep letting you know the test has begun. Countdown 5

seconds starts.
Step 8
Your blood glucose result will appear on the screen after 5 seconds. The result
will be automatically saved in meter simultaneously.
Note:
To ensure accurate results, make sure the confirmation window of the
Test Strip is completely filled with your blood sample.
Step 9
The Glucose AG-605A results range between 20 mg/dL to 600 mg/dL(1.1
mmol/L to 33.3 mmol/L). If a “HI” message appears on your display, your
Glucose Meter has detected that your blood glucose level is higher than
600mg/dL or 33.3mmol/L. It is suggested that you review your testing
procedure and test again with a new Glucose Test Strip to confirm the result. If
the same result occurs, consult your healthcare professional immediately.
Step 10
If a “LO” message appears on your display, your Glucose Meter has detected
that your blood glucose level is lower than 20mg/dL or 1.1mmol/L. It is
suggested that you review your testing procedure and test again with a new
Glucose Test Strip to confirm the result. If the same result occurs, consult your
healthcare professional immediately.
After approximate 2 minutes, if no further tests are performed, the Glucose
Meter will automatically turn off.
Step 11
Remove the test strip from the meter and discard it. It is strongly suggested
that you use a tissue to remove the used test strip. Discard the used lancet
properly in accordance with local、state、and federal law. After remove the test
strip from the test port, the result goes on showing for one minute and then the

meter will turn off automatically or you can long press the S button after
remove the used test strip to turn the meter off immediately or insert another
test strip to begin a new test.
NOTICE:
To remove the Test Strip from the Glucose Meter for proper disposal,We
recommend using a tissue paper to remove the Test Strip form the Glucose Meter.
Note: According to the clinical research, people without diabetes are
those whose blood glucose level fallen within 70mg/dL~110 mg/dL.
Control Solution Test
Material needed:

Control solution
If long press the S button for about two seconds in step5, the CTL will
appear on the screen which means that the test is under the CTL
condition and the result will not be stored this time.
Note: 1. Do not use the expired control solution.
2. The control solution are not necessary accessory for customers, please
contact us if you need.
Recall Test Results
1. With the meter turned off, long press and release M button.
2. The first test result with date and time will automatically appear.
3. Short press M button once and next most recent test result will appear.
Continue short pressing M button to recall the last 350 test results in order.
“End” will be displayed after the last result showed and the meter will power

off automatically.
Care and storage for your system
Handle the Meter with care. Dropping or throwing the Meter may cause
damage to the device.
Don't expose the andon Blood Glucose Monitoring System, Test strip,
Control solution, to extreme conditions, such as high humidity, heat,
freezing cold or dust.
Always wash hands with soap and water and rinse and dry completely
before handling the andon Blood Glucose Monitoring System and Test
strip
When cleaning the andon Blood Glucose Monitoring System, gently wipe
the exterior surface using a damp soft cloth.AVOID USING ANY ORGANIC
SOLVENT for cleaning.
Discard the used lancet properly in accordance with local、state、and
federal law.
The cleaning liquid include 10%bleacher, 70%alcohol and 10%ammonia.
IMPORTANT
For healthcare professionals using this system on multiple patients, please be aware
that all items that come in contact with human blood should be handle as potential
biohazards. Users should follow the guidelines for prevention of blood-borne
transmittable diseases in a healthcare setting for potentially infections human blood
specimens.
