AngelEye View Installation Guide
This guide refers to an AngelEye View with one underwater camera and one aerial camera. With an AngelEye
View with a higher number of underwater or aerial cameras, simply repeat the installation steps for the
number of cameras included.

1. Installation requirements
• Locate a ventilated room that has a wall or surface for the installation of the central unit and allows
for easy cable arrival.
• Required tools:
o Drill with 5mm or 6mm diameter drill bit for wall mounting.
o Screwdriver with Phillips PH2 bit.
o Electrician's scissors
o Slotted screwdriver (flat) min. 1 x 5.5 mm
o Slotted screwdriver (flat) min. 0.8 x 3 mm
o Phillips screwdriver PH2
o Spirit level
• Material required not supplied:
o 1x multipole cable min 4 poles + ground 5 x 1.5mm2
o 2x power cables (3 x 2.5 mm2)
o 1x Ethernet cable cat. 6a or 7 for each camera supplied
o 1x 24v bipolar cable (2 x 1.5 mm2) for each underwater camera with integrated led lights
supplied
o Dowels, screws and washers for wall mounting of components
o Plastic cable ties
• Required connections:
o Two 230V power sockets
o One Internet outlet

3. Installation
3.1 Installation of AngelEye underwater camera in the niche
1. Insert the black AngelEye cable from the AngelEye underwater camera inside the cable gland of the niche
ensuring that appropriate gain cable is coiled inside the niche in order to bring the camera to the surface
over the Trench Drain in case of maintenance.
2. Close the cable gland of the niche.
3. Secure the video camera inside the niche.
4. Attach the steel finish on the AngelEye underwater camera.

3.2 Wiring of the AngelEye underwater camera
1. Fix the junction box near the AngelEye underwater cable outlet corrugated using dowels.
2. Insert the AngelEye underwater cable coming from the AngelEye underwater camera, the Ethernet cat.
6a or 7 cable outgoing to the central unit, and the 24v bipolar cable (2 x 1.5 mm2) outgoing to the light
power supply into the cable glands of the junction box.
3. Carry out inside the junction box, the installation of RJ45 connectors on the underwater cable and
Ethernet cable respecting the A standard.

4. Apply the patch between the two M/M connectors.
5. Wire the electrical cables between the low voltage (24VDC) cables coming from the light power supply
and the brown and blue cables inside the underwater cable.

6. Tighten the cable glands and close the junction box.

3.3 Preparation of the wiring of the aerial video camera
1. Place an Ethernet cat. 6a or 7 cable for wiring the cameras by positioning one end near the location
identified for placement of the central unit and the other end near the location identified for placement
of the aerial camera. Be sure to have appropriate gain wire on both ends of the cable to make the
connection of RJ45 connectors.
2. Carry out the installation of an RJ45 connector on the end of the Ethernet cat. 6a or 7 cable near the
location identified for the placement of the aerial camera respecting the A standard.
3. Repeat the procedure given in steps 1. and 2. for the number of aerial cameras provided.

3.4 Wiring and installation of the aerial video camera
1. Attach the wall installation set consisting of seal and spacer collar to the aerial camera.
2. Connect one end of the patch cable to the camera and the other to the RJ45 connector previously
made on the cat. 6a or 7 Ethernet cable.
3. Push the remaining patch cable into the spacer collar, then push the aerial camera and seal together. Use
the two Allen screws with washers to secure the camera to the wall.
4. Repeat the procedure given in steps 1., 2. and 3. for the number of aerial cameras provided.

3.5 Installation of the light power supply
1. Lift up the light supply cover by removing the four screws located in the corners.
2. Secure the lights power supply unit near the junction boxes using dowels.

3.6 Wiring of the light power supply unit
1. Power cable wiring
a. Make sure there is no electricity (high voltage) on the power cord designated for the lights power
supply.
b. Insert the power cable into the cable gland located on the lower left side making sure to run the
cable through the clamp on the saddle mount.
c. Insert the cable (3 x 2.5 mm2) into the left terminal block by correctly positioning line (live/L),
ground (g) and neutral (N).
d. Tighten the clamp present on the saddle mount.
e. Tighten the cable gland.
2. Wiring cable for light control
a. a. Insert the light control cable (4-pole min. multi-core cable + ground 5 x 1.5 mm2 ) into the
second cable gland starting from the left.
b. Connect the light control cable to the terminal block on the right (X2) by correctly positioning the
polarities for light control by referring to this diagram.

c. Tighten the clamp present on the saddle mount.
d. Close the cable gland.
3. Wiring light power cable
a. Insert the lights power cable coming from the junction box into the cable gland designated.
b. Make the connection of the low-voltage (24VDC) direct cables to the junction boxes respecting
the + and - polarities.
c. Tighten the clamp present on the saddle mount.
d. Close the cable gland.
4. Close the light power supply cover by securing the four screws located in the corners.

3.7 Installation of the central unit
1. Locate a ventilated room that has a wall or surface for the installation of the central unit and allows for
easy cable arrival.
2. Attach the central unit to the wall using the 4 brackets provided.

3.8 Wiring of the central unit
1. Use the blue key provided to open the two locks on the central unit.
2. Open the hatch.
3. Remove the patch panel located at the bottom of the central unit by unscrewing the two screws on it.
4. Wiring the power supply
a. Insert the power cable (3 x 2.5 mm2) into the first cable gland on the right making sure there is
no current (high voltage).
b. Insert the cable (3 x 2.5 mm2) into the three-pin connector by correctly placing line (live/L),
ground (g) and neutral (N).

c. Attach a plastic clamp to each of the 3 stands.
d. Close the cable gland.
5. Wiring the light control
a. Plug the light control cable (5 x 1.5mm2) into the second cable gland on the right side
b. the cable (5 x 1.5mm2) into the 6-pin connector by correctly positioning the polarities for light
control by referring to the diagram shown.

c. Attach a plastic clamp to each of the 4 stands.
d. Close the cable gland.
6. Internet connection
a. Insert the Ethernet cable for the internet connection into the third cable gland starting from the
right.
b. Properly attach a female RJ45 connector to the end of the cable inside the central unit.

c. Insert the RJ45 connector into the indicated patch panel slot.
7. Ethernet connection of the camera
a. Insert the Ethernet cable for the camera connection into the first cable gland on the left.
b. Properly attach a female RJ45 connector to the end of the cable inside the central unit respecting
the A standard.

c. Insert the RJ45 connector into the first slot on the left side of the patch panel.
d. If cameras 2 and 3 or aerial cameras are provided, repeat the operation by inserting the cables
into the adjacent cable glands and the connectors into the adjacent slots.
8. Fixing the patch panel and connecting the cables
a. Accompany the patch panel to the housing for attachment to the structure. Secure the patch
panel with the supplied screws, making sure that the power and light control cables are properly
housed in their slots.
b. Connect the patches cable (1, 2, or 3 depending on how many camera are provided) into the
female connectors previously plugged into the patch panel.
c. Plug the internet patch into the female connector previously plugged into the patch panel.
