L2000 Fingerprint Lock

1Data communication
1.1 Terminal management & communication
After installation is completed, double click 【 】icon and start 【L2000 management
software】,the following window will pop up:
In order that fingerprint lock can communicate with computer successfully, connection must be
correct. Open the back cover of L2000, there is an USB port on the lower right corner. After connecting
with computer via USB data cable, data upload and download between terminal and software, unit
managing and parameter setting can be realized easily.
The main functions of software are as following,
1.1.1 Unit connection
Click 【connect fingerprint lock】,following window will pop up:
The password is your 6-digit number management password which is set by yourself. (And you
can use the master key:862153085118 to initialize the L2000)
If correct, click 【OK】,enter L2000 management software, the main interface demonstrates a hint in
event listing: "connection to the unit successful!”

If wrong, click 【OK】and the hinting window will pop up:
Click【OK】and return to the main interface.
1.1.2 Unit information
After connection successful, unit information will be automatically read out, as shown below:
1.1.3 Unit management
After connection successful, all the functions in unit management are in operable state.
Time synchronization: Make time of unit the same as current date and time of computer.
Click【time synchronization】in 【unit management】, pop up hinting window:
Click【OK】to synchronize time, then the event list of main interface will show: " time synchronization
successful!"
Click 【cancel】and exit from operation.
Set management Password: this password is the same as that entered when logging in fingerprint
lock.
Click 【set management password】in 【unit management】,enter management password interface
as follows,
Input 6-digit password, click 【OK】to save it. Exit from 【set management password】interface, the
main interface’s event list shows hinting,“set management password successful!”
Click 【cancel】and exit.

Initialize:the system will get back to the factory settings
Click 【initialize】in【unit management】menu, pop up hinting window,
Click【OK】to start initialization, the event list of main interface will show the hinting,“unit initialization
successful!”
Click 【cancel】and exit.
Attention: after unit is initialized, all information will be deleted, please be careful.
Download new records: download new door open record of fingerprint lock
Click 【download new records】in【unit management】, the event list of main interface will show
hinting,“Now downloading new door open records……”,after download is completed, it will pop up
hinting,“Download door open record completed, total records: XXXX, successful download: XXXX.”
Download all records: download all door open record of fingerprint lock
Click 【download all the records】in【unit management】menu, the event list of main interface will
show hinting,“Now download all door open records……”,after download is completed, it will pop up
hinting,“Download door open record completed, total records: XXXX, successful download: XXXX.”
Delete records: delete door open records of fingerprint lock
Click【Delete records】in【unit management】menu, pop up hinting windows:
Click 【OK】to start deletion, event list of main interface will show hinting,“Delete door open record
completed!”
Click 【cancel】and exit.
1.1.4 User management
The main functions are download, upload, delete users and so on.
Download user: download user information from fingerprint unit to local database
Click 【download user】in 【user management】, event list of the main interface will display hinting,
“Now downloading user information…”, then user information of fingerprint lock will be downloaded to
local database, as following window shows,

Unit row 【】presents the download records of fingerprint lock, 【 】presents records in local
database. After download completed, event list of the main interface will display hinting,“Download user
information completed, total record: XXXX, download successful: XXXX”
Upload user: press【Shift】or 【Ctrl】to multi select users, or click directly 【Select all】to select
all information.
Click【upload user】in【user management】menu, pop up hinting windows:
Click 【OK】and start uploading user information, after upload completed, event list of the main
interface will display hinting, “Upload user information completed.”
Click 【cancel】and exit.
Delete user: :press【Shift】or 【Ctrl】to multi select users, or click directly 【select all】to select
all information.
Click【delete user】in【user management】menu, pop up hinting windows:

Click 【OK】and start deleting user information, after delete completed, event list of the main
interface will display hinting, “delete user information completed.”
Click 【cancel】and exit.
1.1.5 Record management
Track door open records at special time, which can be saved in Excel form.
Track records: track door open records at the set time period.
Click【track records】in【record management】menu, track results will display in list as follows,
Export records: export the tracked door open records to Excel form
Click【export record】in【record management】menu, select directory to save the form,

Input file name, start saving. Pop up hinting window:
Click 【OK】to confirm save. The Excel file saved shows as follows,

1.1.6 Disconnect fingerprint lock
Click 【disconnect fingerprint lock】, event list of the main interface will display hinting,“disconnect
the unit.”
1.1.7 Other setting
At the left up corner there are compress database, software window color setting, languages setting
functions and so on, as following shows,
compress database: compress the database to decrease capacity. click 【 】,pop up hinting
window,
Click 【OK】to compress database, event list of the main interface will display hinting, “compress
database completed”.
window color setting: total 3 colors, blue, black, silver. Click 【】respectively to
