Hereafter throughout this manual, AOC Company will be referred to as AOC.

Take care during handling the LCD module with backlight unit
-Must mount the module using mounting holes arranged in four corners.
-Do not press on the panel, edge of the frame strongly or electric shock as this will result in damage to the screen.
-Do not scratch or press on the panel with any sharp objects, such as pencil or pen as this may result in damage to
the panel.
-Protect the module from the ESD as it may damage the electronic circuit (C-MOS).
-Make certain that treatment person’s body is grounded through wristband.
-Do not leave the module in high temperature and in areas of high humidity for a long time.
-Avoid contact with water as it may a short circuit within the module.
-If the surface of panel becomes dirty, please wipe it off with a soft material. (Cleaning with a dirty or rough cloth may
damage the panel.)

2. Operating Instructions
2.1 The Use of Remote Control
Turn on the PIP function or

2.2 Control Buttons
FRONT PANEL CONTROL KNOBS
MENU Key①: Press to show the OSD menu and exit OSD menu at the TV.
AUDIO Key②: Adjustment volume hot key.
ECO Mode Key③: Press to select the ECO Mode.
Power Key : Press to turn on or off the TV
Auto Adjust Key⑤: The Auto Adjustment function is used to set the HPos, VPos, Clock and Focus in VGA Mode.
Source Key⑥: Press to select your input source.
Light Sensor⑦:When you turn on the light sensor in the menu, the brightness will change as the light of
environment.
Remote Sensor and Microphone⑧:It will receive the information from the Remote Control and voice by
Microphone.

VGA/DVI: Receive the signals from the host, which is used as the display of the computer.
AV: Receive the video/audio signals of the NTSC, PAL.
S-VIDEO(S-VHS): i.e. video Y/C component. Receive the HD Y/C component signal.
Y Pb Pr: The modes it supports are HD signals such as 480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p ,1080 i.
TV: Receive the TV signals of NTSC-M, PAL-M/N.
2.4 Adjusting the Picture
To use the menu
1. Press the MENU button to display or close main menu.
2. Use the cursor up/down to select a menu item.
3. Use the cursor left/right to enter a submenu or enable/disable the function.
4. Press the MENU button to exit the menu.
MAIN MENU
Press the MENU button to enter the main OSD (On Screen Display). Adjust the items including Picture Setup, Audio
setup, TV Setup, Function Setup and OSD setup.

When the input source is Video, S-Video or YPbPr mode, the Sound Setup, Picture Setup, OSD Setup and Function
Setup can be selected;
When the input source is TV mode, the Sound Setup, Picture Setup, OSD Setup, Function Setup and TV Setup can
be selected.
Sound Setup (Same as in DVI, VGA, TV, Video, S-Video and Components modes)
1.Bass/ Treble / Balance : The range can be adjusted from 0~100.
2.Sound mode: you can set it “stereo”. “eala L”. “eala s” .“OFF”.
3.Source:When PIP it’s turn on. You can choose audio input by main-window or sub-window.
Picture Setting
When the input source is in VGA or DVI mode, you can select Contrast, Brightness, Position, Clock, Phase, Color

Temp. Auto Adjust,
1.Brightness and Contrast: The range can be adjusted from 0~100.
2.H-Position and V- Position: The range can be adjusted from 0~100.
3.Clock: The range can be adjusted from 0~100.
4.Phase: The range can be adjusted from 0~100.
5.Color Temp.: There are four options of color temperature provided for users -normal, cold, user and Warm. You
can select the three-color temperatures of normal, cold and warm or manually adjust red, green or blue in the user
setting (you can only adjust red, green and blue in the user setting).
6.Auto Adjust: Automatically adjust VGA input to the optimal screen size
When the input source is in TV/Video/S-Video/YPbPr mode, you can select Contrast, Brightness, Hue, Saturation,
Sharpness, Size, Color Temp, Picture mode;
1: CONTRAST: You can adjust contrast from 0~100
2: BRIGHTNESS: You can adjust brightness from 0~100
3: HUE: You can adjust HUE from 0~100
4: SATURATION: You can adjust saturation from 0~100
5: SHARPNESS: You can adjust sharpness from 0~100
6: SIZE: You can change in 16:9,4:3,ZOOM1, ZOOM2 mode
7: COLOR TEMP: You can choose in NORMAL,WARM and COOL temperature
8: PICTURE MODE: You can choose in USER, STANDARD, MOVIE, VIVID mode
Function Setup
When the input source is in all mode, you can select Sleep Timer, Smart sensor , But PIP-windows just only for
VGA/DVI mode

1. Sleep timer: You can set time period after which the TV should switch itself to standby. Select the number of
minutes. The counter runs from15.30.45.60 minutes.
2. Smart sensor: Turn on this function, the system can auto detect light of environment be to change brightness
3. PIP-WINDOWS: When the input source is in VGA/DVI mode, you can turn on PIP function and you can
choose sub-window source, size or position

TV Setting
The following menu appears only in the TV mode.
1.Auto Scan: Select "Auto Scan" to search all signaled channel; when the searching is complete, it stays at the first
channel with signal and all channels that have been located are stored. If you would like to stop "Auto Scan" during
the process, simply by pressing the function button.
2.Channel Tuning mode: The demonstration chooses now channel
3.Fine tune:Fine tune the frequency of current channel.
4.Erase: The elimination chooses now channel .

3.3 Panel Specification
HannStar Display model HSD190MGW1-A00 is a color active matrix thin film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal
display (LCD) that uses amorphous silicon TFT as a switching device. This model is composed of a TFT LCD panel,
the voltage reference, common voltage, DC-DC converter, column, and row driver circuit. This TFT LCD has a
19-inch diagonally measured active display area with WXGA+ resolution (900 vertical by 1440 horizontal pixel
array).

1) MCU initialize.
2) Is the EPROM blank?
3) Program the EPROM by default values.
4) Get the PWM value of brightness from EPROM.
5) Is the power key pressed?
6) Clear all global flags.
7) Are the AUTO and SELECT keys pressed?
8) Enter factory mode.
9) Save the power key status into EPROM.
Turn on the LED and set it to green color.
Scalar initializes.
10) In standby mode?
11) Update the lifetime of back light.
12) Check the analog port, are there any signals coming?
13) Does the scalar send out an interrupt request?
14) Wake up the scalar.
15) Are there any signals coming from analog port?
16) Display "No connection Check Signal Cable" message. And go into standby mode after the message
disappear.
17) Program the scalar to be able to show the coming mode.
18) Process the OSD display.
19) Read the keyboard. Is the power key pressed?
