Safety instructions
• Keep this manual for future reference.
• When cutting the mounting hole for the loudspeaker, make
sure there is sufficient clearance behind the
• panel (no obstructions like A/C channels, power lines etc).
• Take care of your loudspeaker wires, they should be free of
damage. Damaged loudspeaker wires might result in poor
sound quality and can damage amplifiers.
• Only use accessories specified by the manufacturer
• Make sure the mounting panel can support the loudspeakers
weight.
• Use sufficient amount of loudspeakers to avoid dead spots.
• No mains power shall be connected to the loudspeakers, doing
so will damage the loudspeaker.
• This apparatus should only be serviced by qualified personnel. If
not warranty might be void.
• Use cable of the right gauge, certainly for long runs.
• Use cables with clear color indication and maintain polarity
throughout the whole system.
• Avoid loud feedback from microphones, this can damage your
loudspeaker.
• Please check the units condition after unpacking. If the outside
of the carton box has been damaged, inform your shipper
immediately.

Introduction
The SUBLIME passive subwoofer
is equipped with a 6.5” dual
coil woofer, front mounted in
a tuned bass reflex cabinet.
This subwoofer is an ideal
partner for Apart satellite
loudspeakers. A custom made
filter and protection circuitry is
incorporated inside, allowing
optimal blending with these
satellites. Optionally, you can
use the SUBLIME subwoofer
in an active loudspeaker setup, using an active filter and separate
power amplifier. You can use the SUBLIME up to 200 Hz. You
can use it lying flat on the floor, hide it under a bench, behind
the curtains, or even mount it on the wall using the included wall
mounting brackets. In order to get the most satisfying sound, it is
essential that you read this section carefully prior to connecting the
subwoofer to your system.

Warranty claims and claims for hidden defects can be considered
only if the defects appear within the warranty period of 24
months and are notified within 8 days following their appearance
per registered letter. The warranty is not valid in case of an
incident, wear, for moving parts, power surges, inadequate
packing or shipping, improper use or storage and the disregard of
recommendations of Apart Audio. The warranty only concerns the
spare parts and not the involved labor, transportation or any other
costs. The product must be returned in the original packaging with
the proof of purchase by an Apart Audio authorized reseller.

IMPORTANT NOTES: this loudspeaker will perform flawlessly only
when you follow our amplifier and system recommendations. Do
not apply clipped or overloaded signals. Do not apply high power
bass lower than 50 Hz. This loudspeaker is NOT magnetically
shielded, so if you have a CRT screen, place the loudspeaker at
sufficient distance from the screen. Modern LCD, TFT or LED screens
are insensitive to magnetic interference, so you can install this
loudspeaker close to such devices without limitations.
For possible and supported loudspeaker/amp combinations, ask
your dealer for assistance.

Mounting and positioning the subwoofer
We recommend to use the subwoofer mounted on a solid wall.
Special mounting brackets are included. Please note that the
subwoofer outputs, these are the two holes on the side, can be
placed in left or right position. Use the LEFT or RIGHT templates
accordingly.
First, position the subwoofer on a table with the connection
terminals facing up (towards you). Protect the surface by using the
packing material. A loudspeaker template with the location of the
drill holes is included with the subwoofer. Position the SPEAKER
template on the subwoofer’s backplate and drill the mounting holes
with a 2 mm drill. Fix the brackets on the backplate.
Next, position the WALL template on the wall and mark the
drill holes. Fix the remaining brackets on the wall. Connect the
loudspeaker cable to the terminals.
Carefully slide the subwoofer over the wall brackets and push it
firmly in place. A few millimeters of tolerance allows you a nice
fit, and also some extra suspension, resulting in good acoustical
insulation from the wall.

3. Position the wall template and mount 3 brackets in
the wall with plugs and long screws.

4. Position the speaker template at the speaker-side and
mount 3 brackets on the speaker with the short screws.

5. Hook the loudspeaker on the wall
6. Push downwards until the loudspeaker is fixed firmly.
Allow some tolerance and suspension to avoid vibrations into
the wall.
