manualthoroughlyandapplythedirecvesandprocedures.Staandpersonnelusingthesystem

3 PRESENTATION
TheMAXIDRIVEbackwardinclineddirectdriveblowerisasystemdesignedtoexhaustandcapture
fumes,smokeoranygaseousbeingproduced.
Mainapplicaonsincludewelding,bung,pharmaceucaloperaons,handlingofvolaleand
harmfulvapours,etc.
OponalequipmentmayincludeMAXAIRfumearms,MAXIREELexhausthosereels,MAXIDROP
hosedropsystems,etc.

5.1 Availablefansupportbrackets
6 NORMALUSE
The MAXIDRIVE backward inclined blower is designed to remove gases and smoke from the air
resulngfromafabricaonprocess.EachMAXIDRIVEbackwardinclinedfansisbuiltasperthe
criteriaandinformaonsuppliedbythecustomerforaspecicapplicaon,andshouldnotserve
anyotherapplicaonwithouttheapprovalofA.Q.C.Inc.
7 OPERATIONANDPURPOSE
MAXIDRIVEbackwardinclinedbladefansincludeimpellerswhichareusedtoexhaustcontaminated
airdirectlytotheoutsideorthroughalteringdevice.Operangtemperaturesare200°F(93°C).
Oponalhightemperatureresistantpaintonimpellersisavailable.Explosionproofmotorsare
recommendedwhenfanisinstalledinreacvegasenvironments.

4. Install a ground wire to the unit.
5. Lift the filter cabinet using the lift lugs. Using spikes, position the cabinet
above the dust storage section making sure to align the cabinet bolt holes
with the dust storage bolt holes.
6. Lower the filter cabinet onto the dust storage section and align the bolt holes.
7. Attach the filter cabinet to the dust storage section using the supplied nuts,
washers and bolts. Tighten bolts for an adequate seal.

Apply two strips of butyl adhesive on the dust storage section upper
outline. One strip should be applied inward of the bolt holes and one
strip outward of the bolt holes (Figure 4).

9 INSTALLATION
MAXIDRIVEbackwardinclinedfansmaybeusedinconjunconwithfumearms,hosereelsand
extensionswingbooms.Refertoappropriateuseandinstallaonmanuals.
WARNING!
Installaonofequipmentmustbeperformedasperlocal
buildinglawsandregulaons.Structuremustmeetproper
weightsupportofarmandequipment.
9.1 Inspeconofgoods
TheMAXIDRIVEbackwardinclined fan maybeshippedfullyassembled or separatefromthe
supportbracket.Proceedwithavisualinspeconuponreceivingthematerialandcheckforany
apparentdamagethatmayhavehappenedduringfreight.Generally,shipmentincludesthefan
andmotorassembly,supportbracketandmotorcover(ifordered).Otheroponalcomponents
suchasexhaustsilencers,startersandvibraonisolatorsmaybeincludedwithshipment.Inspect
boxorcrateappearancewhenreceivingthegoods.Reportdamagestocarrierimmediately.Failure
to do so will void future claims.
9.2 Locaon
1. The area where the blower will be installed should be able to sustain the weight of such along
withtheaccessories,ducng,fanoranyoponalequipment.
2. Installershouldensureareaaroundthefanwillbefreeofobstaclessuchasbeams,lighng
xtures,overheadcranes,etc.
3. Conrmfanlocaon(andoponalequipment)withtheengineeroruser.
4. Forsafetypurpose,ateamoftwo(2)shouldbeassignedtotheinstallaon.
9.3 InstallaonofMAXIDRIVEfanwithMAXAIRfumearm:
1. Boltorweldsupportbracket(1)tosupportstructure.
2. Posionfanonsupportbracket.DONOTFASTENTO BRACKET YET.Ensurefanorientaonis
appropriateforexhaustdirecon. Note:Oponalfan/armreducer(4)willberequiredifarm
outlet size does not match fan inlet size.
3. AachfumearmtosupportbracketandMAXIDRIVEfan.Ensurearmsocketstopperisfacing
bracket support structure. Note:Oponalfanoutletsilencer(5)willbeinstalledifrequired.

9.4 InstallaonofMAXIDRIVEfanwith

1. BoltorweldMAXIREACHboombase(1)to
support structure.
2. Posion fan on boom base. Ensure fan
orientation is appropriate for exhaust
direcon.

9.5 InstallaonofMAXIDRIVEfanwithMAXIREELexhausthosereel:

angedinlettohosereelangedoutlet.Ensurefanorientaonisappropriateforexhaustdirecon.

Note:Duetodierentvoltages,amperages,HPand fanoponalequipment available,wiring
diagrams and electrical connecons are available on request. On three phase motors, verify

13 WARRANTY
13.1 Coverage: AireauQualityControlInc.oritsdesignatedaliate(the"Seller")sellingtheproduct
(the"Product"),warrantsthattheProductsoldbySellerwillbefreefromdefectsinmaterialand
workmanshipforaperiodof12monthsfromthedateofitsinstallaonor14monthsfromthe
dateofshipmentbySeller,whicheverdateisearlier(the"WarrantyPeriod").
13.2 Excepons: ThiswarrantydoesnotapplytoanyProductorporonthereofthat:(i)hasbeenused
inamannernotincompliancewithSeller’sormanufacturer’sdocumentaonandinstrucons,(ii)
hashadchanges,alteraonsorrepairsmadebyapersonotherthanapersonauthorizedbySeller,
(iii)hasbeenimproperlyinstalledorusedorhasbeeninstalledorusedcontrarytoapplicable
codes,standards,lawsandregulaons,(iv)hasbeensubjectedtoimproperstorage,accident,
neglect,misuseorabuse,(v)hasbeendamagedduringshipping,(vi)hasbeensubjecttodamages
resulngfromnormalwearandtear,(vii)hasnotbeenusedwithappropriatereprotecon
systemsorexplosionvenngwhenrequiredor(viii)hasnotbeeninstalledbyalicensedcontractor
withexperienceinreandexplosionhazardsandapplicablecodes,lawsandregulaons.For
greatercertainty,thiswarrantydoesnotapplytolterssoldaspartof,orforusewith,theProduct.
UnlessspecicallyacceptedotherwiseinwringbySeller,Sellerdoesnotwarrantthatelectrical
equipmentwillcomplywithanylawsorregulaonsofthecustomer’sjurisdicon.
13.3 Claims: Tobenetfromthiswarranty,customermustnofySellerinwringoftheProductdefect,
whichnoceshallincludeareasonabledescriponofthedefect,within10daysfromthedatesuch
defect is discovered or ought to have been discovered.
13.4 Remedy: DuringtheWarrantyPeriodandsubjecttothetermsherein,Sellerwill,atitsopon,
either:(i)repairorreplacetheProductoranydefecvepartsorcomponents(exceptforlters)
withProduct,partsorcomponents(exceptlters)freefromdefector(ii)creditorrefundthe
purchasepriceoftheProduct.IfSellersorequests,customermustreturnthedefecveProductto
Seller’splaceofbusinessdeterminedbySeller.Shipping,installaon,removalandre-installaon
costswillbesolelybornebythecustomer.Theforegoingshallbecustomer’ssoleandexclusive
remedyforanydefectintheproduct,itspartsandcomponentsandforanybreachofthe
warrantyherein.
13.5 Disclaimer: Exceptassetforthinthissecon1,eachofseller,itsaliatesandtheirdirectors,
ocers,subcontractorsandrepresentaves(the"sellerpares")disclaimsallrepresentaons
andwarranes,whetherwrien, oral, express, implied,statutory,orotherwise,including
all implied warranes of merchantability, quality, tness for a parcular purpose, non-
infringement,andwarranesarisingfromacourseofdealing,courseofperformance,usage,
ortradepracceandcustomerherebyexpresslywaivesanyrightrelatedthereto.Without
limitaontotheforegoingandexceptasexpresslysetoutherein,thesellerparesdonot
representorwarrantthat:(a)theuseoftheproductwillbemely,uninterruptedoroperate
incombinaonwithanyotherhardware,soware,systemordataor(b)theproductwillmeet
customer’sintendeduse,requirementsorexpectaons.

14 LIMITATIONOFLIABILITY
14.1 Limitaon of Liability: Notwithstandinganythingtothecontrary,innoeventwilltheseller
pares’liabilityarisingoutof,orrelatedto,theproductoritspartsandcomponents,whether
pursuanttocontractualorextracontractualliability,tortorunderanyothertheoryofliability,
exceedthepricepaidtosellerfortheproductgivingrisetosuchliability.
14.2 Exclusion of Consequenal and Similar Damages: Notwithstandinganythingtothecontrary,in
noeventwillthesellerpartiesbeliableforanyindirect,punive,special,exemplary,incidental,
consequenalorothersimilardamagesofanytypeorkind(includinglossofrevenue,prots,
useorothereconomicadvantage,damagesduetoproductfailure,workstoppageordelaysin
delivery)arisingoutof,orinanywayconnectedto,theproductoritsuse,breachofcontract,
tort(includingnegligence),strictliability,productliability,orotherwise,regardlessofcause,
evenifthesellerpareshadpreviouslybeenadvisedofthepossibilityofsuchdamagesorcould
havereasonablyforeseenthem.
14.3 Fire and Explosion and Acceptance of Risk: Customeracknowledgesthatimproperinstallaon
oruseoftheProductmayresultinreorexplosion.Tominimizesuchrisks,properinstallaon,
operaon,andmaintenanceoftheProductinaccordancewithallapplicablecodes,standards,laws
andregulaonsiscrical.Priortoinstallaonanduse,customershallensurethattheProductmeets
theapplicablecodes,lawsandregulaons,includingthoserelatedtotheaddionofappropriate
reproteconsystemsorexplosionvenng.Installaonshallbeperformedbyalicensedcontractor
withexperienceinreandexplosionandapplicablecodes,lawsandregulaons.
15 APPLICABILITY
15.1 ThetermshereinconstutetheonlywarrantygivenbySellerwithrespecttotheProduct.No
othertermsandcondions,whetherincludedonapurchaseorderorinanyotherdocument,shall
applyorbindtheSellerwithrespecttotheProductwarrantyandallsuchtermsandcondionsand
documentsareexpresslydisclaimed.
16 GOVERNINGLAW
16.1 ThesewarrantytermswillbegovernedbyandconstruedunderthelawsinforceintheProvince
ofOntario,Canada,excludingitsconictoflawrules.
