HealthPrecautions
· Userswithahistoryofheartdisease,loworhighbloodpressure,circulatory
systemproblems,ordiabetesandobesepeople shouldconsultaphysicianbefore
usingaspa.
· People usingmedicationshouldconsultaphysicianbeforeusingaspasincesome
medicationmay inducedrowsinesswhileothermedicationmayaffectheartrate
bloodpressure,andcirculation.
· Ifyouexperiencesymptomsofhypothermia(increaseinbodytemperature,
dizziness,fainting,lethargy,drowsiness)refrainfromfurtheruseofthespaand
consultyourphysician.
· Peoplewithinfectiousdiseaseshouldnotuseaspa.
· Pregnantorpossiblypregnantwomenshouldconsultaphysicianbeforeusinga
spa.
· Donotusethespaimmediatelyafterstrenuousexercise.
· Watertemperatures between38ºCand40ºCareconsideredsafeforahealthyadult.
Mostpeopleingoodhealthfindwatertemperatureofabout39ºCandthetime
limitofabout2030minutesinthiswatertobesatisfying.Childrenareespecially
sensitivetohotwater,thereforelowerwatertemperaturesarerecommendedfor
youngchildrenandwhenspauseexceeds10minutes.
· Donotusedrugsand/oralcoholbeforeorduringtheuseofaspaorhottubto
avoidpossibledrowningorunconsciousness.

Thelengthandtimerequiredtoheatyourspatothe set temperatureisdifferent
dependingontheseason,airtemperatureandwindfactor oftheenvironment. Usuallyit
warms1°C anhour.

heating.SecondSpeedisusedforHydrotherapy.Thereisablower.

· Cleanyourspaevery3to4months.Drainyourspaandcleanitwithanon
aggressivecleaner.Donotuseanysharptools.Fillwithregulartapwaterandchemically
treatthespa.
Ifyouwinterizeyourspaorleaveit emptywithoutwaterforalong periodoftime,donot
allowdirectexposuretosunlightinordertoavoidthedamageofplasticparts,jets,
headrestsandtheacrylicsurface.Damagecausedbysunexposurewillnotbecovered
underwarranty.

Becauseyournew spais portable,youcanlocateitjustaboutanywhereyouwishona
patio,onadeck,inthemiddleofyouryard,orevenindoors.Justbesuretopositionit
abovegroundinalevelled areawithgooddrainage.Ithasto supporttheweightofthe
spawhenfilled withwaterandpeople.
· Itisresponsibility,of thespaowner,tomakesurethatthespaisonasolid,
level,andappropriatesurfaceorbase.
· Placethespaonatleast1012cm ofsoliddryconcrete.Donotplacespaon
wetornotcompletelydryconcrete,whichmaytendtosinkorsaganddamagethespa
andwillvoidyourwarranty.Makesurethattheconcreteisleveled.
· Ifthespaistobeplacedonawooddeckorpatiobesurethatthewood
structureisableto hold theweight.
· Placingyourspaona bedofpeagraveloronadirtsurfacewilldamageyour
spa,voidingyourwarranty.
· Makesureany wooddecking doesnothaveanylowspots,highspots,orany
gapsbetweenthesurfaceandthebottomofthespa.Thiswillcausedamagetoyour
spaandwillvoidyourwarranty.
· Ifanydamageisdonetoyourspadueto thesurfaceonwhichthespais
placedthewarrantywillbevoided.
ELECTRICALREQUIREMENTS
IMPORTANT:WheninstalledintheEU,theelectricalwiringofthespamust
meettherequirementsofthegivencountry.Theelectricalcircuitmustbe
installedbyanelectricalcontractorandapprovedbyalocalbuilding/electrical
inspector.
Itisthecustomer’sresponsibilitytoacquirenecessarypermitsandtoarrangefor
installationandconnection to electricalpower supply byalicensedelectrician.
Correctwiringoftheelectricalservicebox,GFCIboxandpackterminalblockis
essential.
Connectiontothepowersupply
IMPORTANT:
Carefullyreadthisparagraphbeforeconnectingthecontroller! Failureto
observetheinstructionscontainedinthisparagraphmaycauseseriousdamageto

Allmodelsmustbepermanentlyconnected(hardwired)andGFCIprotectedin
accordancewithlocalandnationalelectricalcodes.Allelectricalwiringmustbe

· Werecommendthatyouleavesomespaceopenaroundyourspa toallowforeasy
accessfromallsides,making anymaintenanceeasier.
· Fillthespawiththewaterfromthehose throughthefilterinlet(afterfillingis
complete,remembertoputthefiltercartridgeinplacepriortostartingthespa). Thisway
youminimisethechancesoftrappingairintothepumpsystem. Thewaterlevelshould be
halfwayupthefilterarea.
· Neverallowthewaterleveltodropbellowtheskimmeropening.Airwillenter into
waterlines system,causingproblemswith thewaterflow.Runningthepumpwithout
waterflowwilldamagethepumpsealassemblyand couldresult in furtherequipment
damage.
INSTALLINGPOWERTHROUGHTHESPACABINET
· Openthefrontpanellocatedunderkeypad.
· Openthecontrolheadpaneltorevealtheterminalblocks.
· Runcablefromtheopeningonthebottomofthespathroughtheplasticpipeinto
thecontroller.
· Connectpowercabletotheterminal.
· Makesurethewiresare intheircorrectpositions beforeturningthepoweron
· Oncethespaiswiredinmakesureallwater knifevalvesareaopen.
Donotrunspawithvalvesclosed,thiscoulddamagethespaequipment.
STARTINGFORTHEFIRSTTIME
Beforeswitchingthecontrolleronforthefirsttime,makesurethat:
· thereissufficientwaterinthepool;
· allthe valvesareopen;
· thereisnothingthatcanblocktheflowofthewaterin thepipes.
Generally,whenstartingforthefirsttime,thetemperatureofthewaterintroducedinto
thespa shouldbelowerthanthetemperaturesetpoint(35°C).For Thisensuresthatonce
thespaisstartedup thecontrollerwillactivatethepumptosendwatertotheheater.

MAINFUNCTIONS
Thissectiondescribesthemostcommonlyusedfunctionsduringtheoperationofthe
controller.
Typically,eachfunctionismanagedbyaspecificbutton,howeversometimesthesame
buttoncanbeusedtocontrolmorethanonefunction(dependingon theversionofthe
firmwareinstalled).
Thetablebelowsummarisesthefunctionsassignedtoeachbutton.
Button Function
PumpStartsand stops jetpump.
BlowerStarts andstops theblower.
LightSwitchesthelightonandoff
UpIncreasethevalues beingset.
DownDecreasethevaluesbeingset.
Pump ifthepumpisnotstoppedmanually,itstopsautomaticallyafter20minutesof
continuousoperation.
Light ifthelightisnotswitchedoffmanually,itswitchesoffautomaticallyafter20
minutes.

Filtration – duringoperation,thefiltericonisonsteady;ifoneofthebuttons,pump,
blowerorlightispressedduringapurgecycle,thecycleisinterruptedandwillonly
resume40minutesafterthelastdevicestops.
Filteringfunction. Whenthefiltrationcycleisactive,thefiltericonwilllightup
continuosly.The spaisprogrammedtorunafiltrationcycleonceaday for6hours.
Duringthefiltrationcyclethe pump andblowerrun inhighspeed modeforoneminute
topurgetheplumbing,followedbythe pumpatlowspeedfortherest ofthecycle.Itis
possible toprogramthedurationofthefiltrationcycle.Holdthe“light”buttonfor5
seconds,thedisplayshowsthecurrentdurationvalue.Usethe“Up/Down”keytoadjust
thisvalue.Pressagainthe“Light”key,thedisplayshowstheparameterDindicatesthe
numberofhourstodelaythestartofthefiltrationcycle,use the“Up/Down”keyto
adjustthevalue.
Duringthe setup,iftheuserdoesn’tpress anykeyfor5seconds,thesystemmemorises
thenewsetting,butitwilltakeeffectonlyatthenextcycle.However,iftheuserexitsthe
settingbypressingthe“light” key againthenewsettingismemorised.
Ifduringthefiltercycletheuserpresses anykey,thecycleissuspendedwhilstthespais
beingused.Oncethespahasbeeninactivefor40minutes thefiltrationcyclecontinues.
WhentheFiltrationcycleissuspendedthefiltericonLEDwillflashintermittently.

Automaticfunctions
Thecontrollerhasanumberoffunctionsthatcannotbeaccesseddirectlybyauser,
and aremanagedbythecontroller.Thissectiondescribesthefunctionsandtheir
purpose.
Powerupsignal thePowerUpfunction signals thatapowerfailurehasoccurred,if
thisisthecase thecurrentwatertemperatureflashesonthedisplay.
Controllingthewatertemperature watertemperature ismaintainedautomatically
andthespawillheattowithin0.5°C eithersideofthe desiredtemperature.Whenthe
heaterisactivated,thecorresponding icononthedisplayremainslit.Thesameicon
flasheswhenthewaterneedstobeheated, buttheheaterisnotactive.
Settingthewatertemperature – thedesiredwatertemperatureinaspacanbeset,in
0.5°Csteps,between15and40°C,usingtheUpandDownbuttonsfrommain
keypad.Dependingonequipment,thiswillnormallytake8to10hours.
Smartwintermode –functionisactivatedautomaticallywhentheroomtemperature,
measuredbyasensorlocatedinsidethecontroller, islessthan6°C,soastoprevent
thewaterinthepipesofthespafromfreezing.
Thisprotectionfunction automaticallyactivatesallthepumpsandtheblowerfor1
minuteatvariabletimeintervals;thelowertheroomtemperaturethemorefrequently
thepumpswillbestarted.Thelongestintervalbetweentwoconsecutivestartsistwo
hours. Theactivationof thisfunctionisnotrelatedtothewater temperatureinsidethe
spa.ThefilterLEDwillblinkwhilstthespaisoperatinginSmartWinterMode.
Currentmanagement
Thisfeaturehelpstoavoidoverloadingtheinputbreaker.IftheLCmode(Low
current)isselected,theheaterisnotallowedtobeonwhenthepumpandtheblower
arerunning.IftheHCmode(Highcurrent)isselected,theheaterisallowedtobeon
whenpumpisrunningatthelowspeedtogetherwithblower.Ifthepumpisrunningat
highspeedtheheaterisautomaticallyturnedoff.

LowLevelProgramming
WARNING!!!Thecurrentmanagementfeature shouldonlybeadjustedbya
qualifiedspatechnician.Anyproblems anddamagescausebyunauthorised
adjustmentofthecurrentmanagementfeaturewillinvalidateyourwarranty.
It’s possible to configure various system operating parameters from the key pad.
Thisisnormallydonebythespamanufacturer,butmay be doneat anytime.The
configuration will be stored in the controller’s memory. To program these system
parameters, the light key must be held for 20 seconds. After this time, the first
parameterwillbedisplayed(seebelow).Foreachparameter,usetheUp/Downkey
tomodifyitsvalue.Thelightkeyisusedtoacceptthenewvalueandswitchtothe
nextparameter.Thedisplayreturnstothenormaldisplaywhenthere arenomore
parameters tochange.Therearethree(3)lowlevelprogrammableparameters:
Firstparameter HC/LC
With the Up/Down key is possible to select the HC (High current) or LC (Low
current)optionsandthespeedofthepump.
Secondparameter – BL/O3
WiththeUp/Downkeyis possible toselectonofthetwooptions.
IftheuserselectBLitispossibletoconnectablowerora singlespeed pump.
IftheuserselectsO3 itispossibletoconnectanozonator.Inthiscasethekeyson
theoverlaywillhavethefollowingcomposition:Pump1,Light,Up,Down.
Thirdparameter
WiththeUp/Downkeyis possible toselectonofthetwooptions.
TuC Thetemperatureonthedisplayisshowedin°Celsius
TuF Thetemperatureonthedisplayisshowedin°Fahrenheit.
Togofromoneparametertotheotheronepressthelightkey.

Theheaterturnsoff whenHighLimit(HL)probetemperaturereaches48ºC.
Thissafetyfeaturekeepstheheaterswitchedoffuntilthetemperaturesensedbythe
HLprobefallsbelow44ºC and the powerisreset. Threeblinkingdotsonthedisplay
signifyahighlimiterror.
Pressureswitcherror
Turnstheheateroffwhenthereisaflowproblem
Theerrorwillwarningcontinuetobedisplayeduntilflowproblemisresolved

WATERQUALITY
Safe,comfortableandcleanspawaterisafairlysimpletasktoachieve,butitdoes
requireattentionbecauseofthenumerousfactorsthatcanalter it(waterusedtofillthe
spa,watertemperature,userload,etc.).
Spawatermaintenanceconsistsofthreeseparateprograms:
· sanitization
· pHbalancingandmaintainingtherecommendedmineralcontentlevel
· achievingandmaintainingthewaterclarity
Forchemicalsandwaterqualitymaintenance aids,consultyourAquaSpa dealer.
Sanitizers
Sanitizermustbeusedregularlytodestroybacteriaandorganiccompoundsinthespa
water.
Chlorine,bromineandalsosomenonchlorine bsaedchemicalsarethemostwidely
useddisinfectantsformaintainingproperlybalancedwater.
pHbalance
pH(potentialHydrogen)isameasureofyourwater’sacidityoralkalinity.The
measurement scalerunsfrom014.RecommendedpHlevelsforspawaterarepH7.2
7.6.Waterwith a pH levelabove7.8canallowlimescaletoform,becomeexcessively
cloudyand can reducetheeffectivenessofsanitizers.
TotalAlkalinity
Totalalkalinityreferstotheamountof allalkalinesaltsinthewater.Totalalkalinityof
spawatershould bemaintainedwithintherangeof80120mg/l.ThiswillkeepthepH
stableandhelppreventagainstscalingandcloudywater.Chemicalsusedtomaintain
totalalkalinityareavailablefromyourdealer.
TotalHardness
Totalhardnessreferstotheamountof calciumandmagnesiuminthewater.

basket.
· Testthespawaterusingwaterteststrips.
· Checkandadjustchlorine/sanitzer level(recommendedleveloffreechlorinein
thewateris0.2 – 0.5mg/l.Alsononchlorinesanitizercanbeused)
· CheckandadjustpH(7.27.6) byusingpHminusorpHpluschemicals;total
alkalinityshouldbe80to120mg/l.
· Useother additivesaccordingtothewaterqualityifnecessary –metalinhibitor
forbreaking downmetaldeposits,mineralsurfaceprotectorforscaledepositcontrol,etc.

· TesttheGFCIbreakeroncepermonth.
· Makesurethespaissituatedonasolid,sturdybase.

Spasurface
Alwayskeepyourspacoveronthespatoavoidthespa’ssurfacefrombeingdiscolored,
cracked,sungrazed,spiderlikecracks,orglosstofadeonthesmoothglossyacrylic
finish.
Tocleanthespasurface,allyouneedisasoftcottontowelormoistcellulosesponge
withcleanwater.
Neveruseabrasivecleanerorhandbrush,cleaningsolvents,acetone,oralcoholtoclean
thespa.Thiscanfade,discolor,orevencrackthesurface,voidingthewarranty.
Spaequipmentandpumps
Thespaequipmentandthepumpsdonotneedanyregularmaintenance.Theequipment
andthepumpsaremaintenancefree.
Jets
Onceamonthcheckallyourjetstoseeiftheyareworkingproperly.Thejetsthatare
adjustableturnfaceleftandrightmakingsuretheyarefreefromanyobstructions.
ChangingtheWater
Itissuggestedthatyouchangethewateronceeveryfourmonthsdependingonthearea
andtheamountofusage.
Drainingthespa
Becauseyourspa holdsarelativelysmallamountofwater,contaminantssuchasbody
oil,perspiration, dirt,hair,etc.,maybecomequiteconcentrated.Forthisreason,the
watershouldbedrainedandreplacedeverythreefourmonthsdependingonuse.

Itisrecommendedthatafterdrainingyourspayouputthecoverbackon.Avoidexposing
theacrylicsurfacetodirectsunlightforanextendedperiodoftime.
Winterizingyourspa
Draincompletely.Besureallwaterisremoved.Loosenunionsateachpumptoensure
waterfrompumpareaisremoved.Removepumpfreezeplugs.Vacuumalljets
thoroughlytoremoveanywaterleftoverintheplumbinglines.
Removeandcleanfiltercartridges,andstoreinasecureplacetopreventfreezing.
Donotturnunitoffwithwaterinthespa.Frozenwatermayruptureplumbing.Freeze
damage repairsarenotcoveredunderwarranty.
