SAFETY AND OPERATIONAL WARNINGS
Assemble and use AquaLens Connect only as instructed by this manual.
Read and follow these important safety instructions and the detailed assembly in this manual prior
to using the AquaLens Connect.
Follow all safety and operational warnings and heed all additional restrictions on use.
Please register your device to receive more efficient customer support and important product

Assemble AquaLens in a safe, dry place. Do not assemble while submerged in water. Do not allow
AquaLens to get wet before it is fully assembled and enclosed in the watertight dome. Do not
assemble with wet hands.
The AquaLens dome must be completely secured to keep it watertight. Check the security of the
dome before submersion.
Do not submerge the topside box.
AquaLens is meant for depths no greater than 100 m (328 ft.). from the water surface. Do not
go beyond this depth due to limitation as operational safety is not tested and rated for such
depths.
Secure all cables on board to prevent tripping hazards.
Inspect AquaLens prior to use. If there is any sign of water inside the camera or housing unit or
other damage, do not use the AquaLens. Send AquaLens to Aquabotix for service.
Do not attempt to dislodge or pry foreign objects from AquaLens. Send AquaLens to Aquabotix
for service.

AquaLens is not a toy. Use only under adult supervision
Do not use AquaLens in rain, rough sea conditions and/or storms.
Do not use AquaLens while underwater machinery is in operation.
Do not touch AquaLens to underwater marine growth. Keep AquaLens clear of all underwater
objects.
Do not expose AquaLens to high temperatures above 40° C / 104° F; avoid direct sunlight.
Use AquaLens in the recommended operating water temperature range of 35° F to 89° F (2°C to
35°C).
Dropping AquaLens or subjecting it to strong force may damage the device and its watertight
dome. Handle with care.
Assure cable is properly secured to pole with adapter or straps before use.

DOWNLOAD THE AQUABOTIX APP:
For Windows:
1. Windows 8 or later is required.
2. Log onto www.aquabotix.com
3. Under the support tab click on “Software/ Manuals”.
4. Click on the link
5. Download the installation application and open it.
6. Read through the options and finally click Install.
7. Unzip the folder to the desired location on your PC
8. The Aquabotix application should be installed and ready for use.
For iPad:
Note: The AquaLens connect has limited camera functionality on the iPad application. The
application version does not have the ability to pan, tilt or zoom the camera.
1. Open the app store
2. Search for “AquabotixiOS”
3. Install the application
4. The Aquabotix application should be installed and ready for use.

SET UP: AQUALENS CONNECT
1. Inspect your AquaLens Connect for any damage that may have occurred during
transport and make sure the dome securely fashioned.
2. Register your AquaLens with Aquabotix at http://www.aquabotix.com/product-
registration.html
3. Inspect the sub connector and ensure it is clean.
4. If using threaded pole mount:
a) Attach pole mount to back of viewing sphere.
b) Thread pole into the mount. Be sure the pole is
vertically aligned to the camera.
5. If using 12v DC or 120v AC power options: Attach the power
supply to the Top Side Box. Align the pins on the socket to
the pins of the plug and insert it. Give the collar a quarter
turn to secure it.

6. Attach the viewing sphere to the Top Side Box. Align
the pins on the socket to the pins of the plug and insert
it. Turn the collar clockwise until it is snug to secure it.
7. Power on the Top Side Box using the red switch in the
midle. A red light will illuminate to indicate the power is
on.
8. Connect your device to the Top Side Box Wi-Fi signal.
a) For PC users: The Top Side Box’s network signal
can be accessed via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Select this
network in the network settings.
b) For iOS users: For iOS users: The network signal can
be accessed over Wi-Fi. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi >
Choose network.
9. Open the Aquabotix application and allow the system to boot up. The application is
operational when video feed is shown.
10. Your AquaLens Connect is now ready for use.

CHARGING THE BATTERY
Note: If using the battery power source option, charge the battery completely before use as it only
has a partial charge when it is unpackaged.
1. Attach the charger to the Top Side Box.
2. Attach the charger to power source (either 12v DC or 120v AC)
3. A red light will show on the charger indicating that it is charging. A green light will show
on the charger when the battery has been completely charged.
4. Disconnect the charger from the top side box.
AFTER USE CARE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove AquaLens Connect from the water.
2. Disconnect tether cable from the Top Side Box.
3. Rinse AquaLens Connect with fresh water, dry with microfiber cloth.
a. The dome of the AquaLens may be cleaned with a solution of soap and water.
Do not use cleaners containing isopropyl alcohol as this can damage the
AquaLens’ dome.
4. Make sure the AquaLens is completely dry before storage.
5. Inspect the AquaLens for any damage that may have occurred or condensation.
6. Store AquaLens Connect and cover dome to protect from scratches and damage.

Navigating Saved Files on Windows
Saved pictures, videos and saved data for the Windows application can be viewed and downloaded
on the AquaLens Connect’s web server.
1. Click on File in the tool bar
2. Click on Device Web Server in the File menu
a. This will bring up the Device Web server home screen.
3. Select the information you wish to access.
4. To download or delete a photo or video:
a. Select the photo or video tab
b. Click the green arrow to download and save it to your PC
c. Click the red “X”to delete it from the AquaLens
5. To download or delete recorded data:
a. Select the Data tab
b. Click the green arrow to download and save to your PC
c. Click the red “X”to delete it from the AquaLens

1. Easy button- With one click this will begin to record video, capture a photo and begin to
record data
2. Thruster power buttion- Not used
3. Record button- Begin and terminate video recording
4. Capture button- Take still photographs
5. Record Data button- Begin and terminate recording data
6. Illumination Intensity button- Toggle the brightness of the LED lights (optional)
7. Tag Button- Add tags for date and time to the recorded data
8. Connection button- View the connection status of the AquaLens as well as shut it down
9. Control button- Brings you to the control screen with video feed
10. Movies button- View and download recorded movies
11. Photos button- View and download captured photographs
12. Data button- View and download recorded data
13. Utilities button- View AquaLens status

Navigating Saved Files on iPad
Saved photos, videos and recorded data can all be viewed and downloaded within the Aquabotix
iPad application.
1. To view, download or delete a photo or video:
a. Select the photos or videos tab from the tool bar at the bottom of the app.
b. Press the green arrow to download to your iPad
c. Press the red “X”to delete it from the AquaLens.
2. To view, download or delete recorded data
a. Select the data tab from the toolbar at the bottom of the app
b. Press the green arrow to download the data to your device
c. Press the red “X”to delete it from the AquaLens

ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY CERTIFICATE
Aquabotix warrants that, under normal use and service, the AquaLens will be free from defects in
material and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase by the original purchaser.
If Aquabotix receives, during the applicable warranty period, notice of defect in any product, which
is covered by Aquabotix’s warranty, Aquabotix shall either replace or repair the product at
Aquabotix’s discretion.
If Aquabotix is unable to repair or replace, as applicable, a defective product, which is covered by
Aquabotix’s warranty, Aquabotix shall, within a reasonable time after being notified about the
defect, refund the full purchase price of the product.
Aquabotix shall have no obligation to repair, replace or refund the purchase or product until the
customer submits an RMA form and returns the defective product to Aquabotix.
Warranty does not cover the following: damage caused by abuse or misuse, improper
maintenance, incorrect assembly, accidental damage, or damage due to incorrect power
connection as described in the user manual. Consumable items including o-rings, moisture
absorbing packs, LED lights and batteries are specifically excluded from the warranty. Items
subject to normal wear and tear include, but are not limited to, the lens and the outer shell which
are only covered for defects in workmanship or materials.
Opening the AquaLens’ dome (unless instructed by Aquabotix) voids this warranty.
Claims for damage, shortage or errors in shipping must be reported within three (3) days following
delivery to the customer. Aquabotix is not responsible for returned items lost or damaged during
shipping.
A copy of the dated receipt or bill of sale from the original end user purchase is required to
determine coverage.
This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary
from state to state.
