Important information
Congratulations to your ARI Motors electric vehicle! We wish you safe journeys…
Please consider this manual as a significant part of the vehicle, even when the vehicle is
sold or lent to others. Please also consider that this is an electric vehicle and thus
possesses characteristics that differ significantly from a vehicle with a combustion engine.
When maintenance or service is needed, please contact your dealer.
The technical staff can help you and does possess the tools needed for the service of the
vehicle. The dealer can provide support in terms of maintenance and repair.
Important information:
1.) All electric equipment including batteries, junctions and especially the controller have to
be kept away from water. Accordingly, please be careful while using and cleaning the
vehicle to avoid contact with water.
2.) The vehicle is designed for two passengers only. Furthermore, never exceed the load
capacity of the vehicle.
3.) When the charge display is in the yellow area, you have to charge the batteries. Otherwise
you risk deep discharging and thereby irreversible damages that are not covered by the
guarantee or warranty.
4.) The addition of electric components as well as additional modifications leads to an
expiring of the guarantee/warranty. Consequently, the customer is responsible for all
possible damages.
5.) The battery performance is best at 20 degree Celsius, which is the ideal condition for the
battery. Colder temperatures result in lower capacity and range. The range is also lowered
when electrical consumers like vehicle lightning, the radio, heating, windscreen wipers or
air conditioning are turned on.
6.) Please follow the safety instructions in terms of charging and the electrical components
and devices! Non-observance can lead to physical injuries and permanent damages of
the vehicle and its electrical equipment.

When the vehicle is in motion without the accelerator being stepped on, the
movement of the engine produces energy that is fed into the battery. Thus, longer
downhill drives can lead to an increased range.
Apply handbrake: Pull handle in your direction, Release handbrake: Pull handle
lightly in your direction, push button, turn handle rightwards and let handle drop
IMPORTANT! To park the vehicle securely, use the handbrake simultaneously
with the footbrake. This increases the brake effect and the vehicle also stands
firmly and securely on slopes.

For charging, simply a 230V standard power outlet with
a 16 Ampere fuse is needed. After approximately 5-6
hours the vehicle is fully charged.
Please always use the supplied original cable. If
extension cords are used, always choose at least a
cable thickness of 3x 2,5mm. Otherwise, the vehicle
can not be charged reliably and fully.
With the lead gel battery, the LED light at the driver’s
display (beneath the 80 km/h bench) shows the status
of charging: Red LED flashing = battery low, 2) Green
LED flashing = Battery almost full, 3) Permanent green
LED = Battery full, charging finished.
With the lithium ion battery, the driver’s display shows
the remaining charging time.
The charging device stops the charging process
automatically after 8 hours and does NOT resume
automatically. In case of colder temperatures, it is
recommended to continue charging after the
automatic stop. To do this, please disconnect the
charging cable for a short time (at least 2 minutes)
from the power supply before reconnecting it.
Alternatively, you can let this process be carried out
by a 16A timer switch. The vehicle should also be
charged once a week when not in use. Otherwise,
the batteries can be severely affected
by deep discharging!

Energy-efficient driving
The first 500 kilometers
Like with a combustion engine, an electric vehicle has to be “run in”. Consequently, we
recommend to fully rundown and fully recharge the battery multiple times during the first
500 kilometers (ca. 310 miles) via extensive driving activity. This leads to an increased
battery capacity. Hence, the vehicle battery can be trained to quickly absorb and provide
energy by driving and charging extensively. In contrast to a combustion engine, the goal is
not to drive very careful, but to rundown and charge the battery systematically. Only after
approximately 500 kilometer the actual range of the vehicle will be available. Also always
follow the guidelines regarding the charging of the vehicle battery.
Like with a combustion engine, energy-efficient driving with an electric vehicle can be
equated with anticipatory driving. The engine consumes more energy during high
acceleration, high speed and while driving uphill. Consequently, it is advantageous to drive
anticipatorily by observing the traffic and avoid unnecessary acceleration. Furthermore, it is
recommended to let the vehicle coast now and then, because the battery is gaining energy
this way via recuperation. The recuperation energy is not produced by braking energy,
but by the rolling of the car or the free spinning of the engine respectively. Accordingly,
the battery can be charged a bit by driving downhill .
A constant use of the accelerator and the accompanying maximum speed possible leads to
a faster drain of the battery and is not advisable when you want to reach a decent range.
This way of driving furthermore leads to an earlier automatic activating of the ECO mode
that protects the battery from deep discharging.
ECO MODE
By selecting “ECO” on the driving mode switch, the energy-saving ECO mode is activated.
As a result, the vehicle has a slower acceleration and the top speed is limited to 50 km/h
(31 mph). The ECO mode can also be activated automatically in case the full discharge of
the battery is impending. The automatic activation is also depending on your way of
driving and will occur earlier with a more intense battery use than with a more careful way
of driving. When the ECO mode is automatically activated, please look for a place to
charge the vehicle immediately.

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS
The warranty does not apply in case of natural wear of the vehicle, damages caused by
natural disasters or noise and vibrations that impair the functions or the durability of the
vehicle.
During the winter months, the capacity and the efficiency of the battery can be significantly
reduced. The ideal temperature for using and charging the vehicle is approximately 20
degree Celsius (68 degree Fahrenheit). Damages on the vehicle can also be caused by
insufficient care and the neglect of seemingly insignificant defects. Damages not covered by
the warranty include: Mechanical damages, traces of usage, damages caused by breach of the
purchaser’s obligation, damages caused by non-compliance with the user manual, damages
caused by the purchaser or third parties, damages caused by improper or inadequate storage
and engine damages caused by non-compliance with the correct procedure.
Additionally, damages not covered by the warranty include: paint damages or corrosion
caused by external factors on damaged parts, abrasion on parts like tyres, tubes, fuses,
Bowden cables and cables in general, filters, accumulators, brake pads, nuts and bolts, tools,
some sealings and other parts that have be replaced on a regular basis or whose functions
have to be maintained and adjusted on a regular basis.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGES AND GUARANTEE ON THE NEW VEHICLE
According to current legislative requirements, the seller is liable for damages covered by the
guarantee during the first 6 months with a subsequent warranty of 18 months. The
guarantee / warranty periods begin with the purchase date of the new vehicle. The date is
recorded on a handover certificate. A warranty repair can take place by exchanging or
repairing defective parts. The ARI Motors GmbH becomes the owner of the replaced parts. The
guarantee does not lead to further claims, especially regarding the replacement of the vehicle,
withdrawal from the purchase contract, provision of a substitute vehicle for the duration of the
repair or compensation.
The warranty is only valid if all service works on the vehicle are conducted promptly,
professionally and in accordance with the requested inspection interval. When asserting
warranty claims, documentation must be provided that the maintenance work has been
carried out by service workers in accordance with ARI Motors regulations. In the event of
neglected maintenance or maintenance work that is not in accordance with the ARI Motors
regulations, there are still warranty claims if it can be proved that the maintenance work that
was not carried out or carried out discordant with the ARI Motors regulations did not cause
any damage to the vehicle.
Guarantee / Warranty
15Up

Furthermore, no guarantee claims exist if damage has occurred via:
APPLICATION OF GUARANTEE CLAIMS
The guarantee claim must be made immediately to the guarantee service named by the
importer. When applying these claims, the claimant must present a purchase invoice. The
validity of the guarantee is judged by the importer or the authorized ARI Motors dealer. The
costs of transport to the warranty service and back have to always be paid by the buyer.
The guarantee service must be given the opportunity to determine the cause of the damage
and the time to repair it. The buyer is obliged to bring the vehicle clean and unloaded for
repair on the agreed date. The repair of the damage has to be reported to the buyer
immediately, who is obliged to to collect the vehicle within three days from the date of
notification.
The normal wear and tear of your vehicle is not covered by the warranty. Additionally,
defects due to improper handling, in particular incorrect charging and maintenance of
batteries, are also excluded from the guarantee, including long parking (more than 14 days)
without charging.
