With the ignition OFF push the Engine
Start/Stop:
nOnce for ACC (Accessory) mode.
nTwice for ON mode.
nThree times for OFF.
To start the engine in any mode
(including OFF), push the Engine Start/
Stop button while pressing the brake
pedal.
To shut the engine OFF, place
transmission in PARK and push the
Engine Start/Stop button again.

Basic Safety Precautions
Whenever operating the vehicle, make sure that you and your occupants are
properly wearing your seat belts. Small children should always ride in the rear seat
in the appropriate child restraint system (see the Owner’s Manual for child safety details).
Never place children under 13 years old in the front seats to avoid injury that may
result from air bag deployment.
Always refer to the Owner’s Manual for complete safety precaution information.
NOTE: If the driver’s seat belt is not fastened when the ignition key is turned to the
ON or START position, the seat belt reminder light will blink and the warning
chime will sound for approximately six seconds to remind the driver to
fasten the driver’s seat belt.
Outside Rearview Mirrors
Steering Wheel Power Adjustment (if equipped)
Toggle switch to adjust steering wheel.
NOTE: Do not adjust steering wheel
while driving.
Driver Position Memory System (if equipped)
Store and recall the driver’s seat, outside
rearview mirror and steering
wheel positions.
1. Place vehicle in Park with the
ignition ON.
2. Adjust the driver’s seat, outside
rearview mirror(s) and steering wheel
to a comfortable position.
3. Press SET button until a beep is
heard and then press button 1 or 2
within 5 seconds. The system will
beep twice when memory has been
successfully stored.
RECALLING SEAT POSITIONS
With vehicle in Park, press the desired
memory button (1 or 2).

Occupant Classification System
PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF INDICATOR G
The indicator will illuminate when you turn the ignition ON. The light will
not illuminate when the front passenger’s air bag is enabled. The occupant
classification system will disable the right front passenger’s air bag under certain
conditions (light on). Refer to your Owner’s Manual for a complete description of
this system.
NOTE: Driver’s air bag and side impact air bag are not part of the occupant
classification system. Never place children under 13 years old in front seats
to avoid injury that may result from air bag deployment. Always refer to the
Owner’s Manual for complete safety precaution information.

The default name of the Bluetooth

5. When prompted, enter the Passkey

6. The name of the connected device will
be displayed on the phone.
TOUCH SCREEN SYSTEM
1. Press PHONE button
2. Press the SETTINGS button on phone screen
3. Press the PAIRINGS button
4. Press the ADD TO button
5. In your mobile phone Bluetooth
setup menu, select Add New
Device. The default name of the
Bluetooth Device is GENESIS.

To raise or lower the rear sunshade
press the button.
NOTE: The rear sunshade will
automatically lower when the
vehicle is shifted into reverse. The
sunshade raises automatically
when the vehicle is shifted back
into Drive and the vehicle speed
is more than 12 mph.
Parking Assistance System (if equipped)
The Parking Assistance System chimes
if any object is sensed within the distance
of approximately 39 inches in front and
behind the vehicle.

The trunk lock button is used to prevent
unauthorized access to the trunk.

To activate the trunk lock system:
1. Open the glove box.
2. Press trunk lock button OFF. In the OFF
position, the trunk can only be opened with
the mechanical key.
3. Remove mechanical key from the Smart Key.
4. Close and lock the glove box with the
mechanical key.
NOTE: Without the mechanical key, the Smart
Key can only start the engine and operate
door locks.
TO UNLOCK AND OPEN THE TRUNK
WITH THE KEY
Insert the mechanical key into the key slot
located as shown on the trunk lid and turn
clockwise.
Homelink®Wireless Control System
The HomeLink®Wireless Control System
can conveniently replace up to three
hand-held radio-frequency transmitters,
such as garage doors, estate gates and
home lighting. Controls for HomeLink®are
located in the lower portion of the inside
rearview mirror.

4. Follow voice command instructions to complete pairing the phone.
5. When prompted, enter the Passkey (Default Passkey 0000).
