Thank you for choosing Artison's RCC 600 In-Wall Subwoofer System. We are
pleased that you have selected our high-performance audio products.
INTRODUCTION
The following information will guide you through the installation of your Artison RCC 600
In-Wall Pre-Build Box (IWPBB).
The Artison RCC600-IWPBB was designed to provide the minimum air volume
requirement
in
asealed and braced enclosure for the Artison RCC 600 Subwoofer
Module and RCC 600 Subwoofer Amplifier. The IWPBB also allows
an
easy installation
of the RCC 600 Subwoofer Module
in
the later trim-in phase of the installation.
Your RCC600-IWPBB carton should contain the following:
1 . RCC 600
In
Wall Pre-Build Box
2 . 3 mm Mounting Spacers

(RCC600-IWPBB)
1. The IWPBB was designed to fit into the bay of astud wall that
is
constructed of
2x4
studs
spaced at 16" On Center. Adeeper wall may be used but the stud spacing should still be 16"
On Center. Be
sure
that
no
piping
or
electrical
wires
interfere
with
the
placement
of
the
IWPBB.

The front face of the IWPBB was designed to mount flush with the finished drywall surface.
The IWPBB has two mounting flanges with pre-drilled mounting holes that run along the two
longer edges of the enclosure. These secure the IWPBB to the two studs that make up the
stud bay.

When mounting the IWPBB, fasten 1
%"
drywall screws through the pre-drilled holes
in
the
mounting flanges to the two studs
on
each side of the bay. This will ensure asafe and secure
installation.

The
drywall
thickness
is
critical
to
the
mounting
of
the
IWPBB.

If the construction calls for
%"
drywall, then the IWPBB should be mounted directly to the
studs. After the drywall
is
hung, the edges of the IWPBB should be taped, mudded and
sanded flush with the drywall. The IWPBB can then be painted or finished as the rest of
the drywall
in
the room. See
Figure
1.
b.
If
the construction calls for %" drywall, then use the two spacers supplied to fur the
IWPBB out from the stud wall. After the drywall
is
hung, the edges of the IWPBB should
be taped, mudded and sanded flush with the drywall. The IWPBB can then be painted or
finished as the rest of the drywall
in
the room. See
Figure
2.
c. The
front
edges
of
the
IWPBB are
chamfered
to
allow
the
mudding,
taping
and
sanding
of
all
four
edges
flush
with
the
drywall.

The binding posts for the IWPBB are located at the top of the enclosure. They are connected
to an extension on the inside of the enclosure. Run and connect your speaker wire to these
binding posts before the drywall goes up and blocks access to them. Use
the
binding
posts
instead
of
drilling
a
hole
in
the
IWPBB,
this
will
maintain
the
seal
of
the
enclosure.

effect for five years from the date of purchase for speaker
products and one year for electronic products.

PRODUCT HAS BEEN PURCHASED FROM

AUTHORIZED ARTISON DEALER
IN
THE UNITED STATES. THE ORIGINAL BILL OF SALE MUST BE PRESENTED
WHENEVER WARRANTY SERVICE IS REQUIRED. FOR WARRANTY SERVICE
OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES, CONTACT THE AUTHORIZED ARTISON
DISTRIBUTOR
IN
THE COUNTRY WHERE THE PRODUCT WAS PURCHASED.
Except as specified below, this warranty covers all defects
in
material and workmanship.
The following are not covered: Damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, product
modification or neglect, damage occurring during shipment, damage from failure to follow
instructions contained
in
the Owners Manual, damage resulting from the performance of
repairs by someone not authorized by Artison, or any claims based on
misrepresentations by the seller. This warranty does not cover incidental or
consequential damages. It does not cover the cost of removing or reinstalling the unit.
THIS WARRANTY IS VOID IF THE SERIAL NUMBER HAS BEEN REMOVED OR
DEFACED, OR IS PURCHASED ON THE INTERNET, WORLD WIDE WEB,
MAIL
ORDER, 800, 888, 877 TELEPHONE NUMBERS OR THROUGH ACATALOG.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights, which vary
from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages or limitations
on
how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above
may not apply to you.

the original bill of sale to establish the date of purchase. PLEASE DO NOT SHIP YOUR
ARTISON PRODUCT TO THE FACTORY FOR REPAIR WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION.
PLEASE DO NOT RETURN PRODUCT TO THE ABOVE ADDRESS, IT IS NOT ASERVICE
LOCATION. You are responsible for transporting your product for repair and for payment of any
initial shipping charges. However, we will pay the return shipping charges if the repairs are
covered under warranty.
