Information on mowing
Prior to mowing, check your device for com-
pleteness, proper functioning, and cleanliness.
A dirty ventilation grid causes overheating of
the engine, this can damage the engine. A dirty
protective grid at the silencer poses a fire haz-
ard.
To keep the area well maintained, mow fre-
quently and keep the grass short.
Only mow with a sharp and undamaged blade.
Have the blade sharpened and balanced regu-
larly (by authorised service centre).
Do not mow when the grass is wet or when it is
raining. The turf may be damaged and there is
a danger of slipping!
Turn the device around only in already mown
sections. Do not leave the device unattended
while the engine is running.
To avoid blockage during the ejection of grass,
we recommend, for flat terrain, to proceed ac-
cording to the mowing patterns. Mulch is
shredded into much smaller pieces when you
mow the terrain once again in the opposite dir-
ection.
If the grass is extremely high, mow twice at dif-
ferent cutting height settings.
Prior to starting
Fuel
As fuel, use unleaded petrol (see operating in-
structions of the engine manufacturer).
You can use E10 petrol. Do not store E10 pet-
rol longer than 30 days.
Tanking up
Danger!
Fuel is ignited by hot engine parts.
Prior to filling up, switch off the en-
gine and wait for at least 20minutes
until the engine has cooled down.
Observe the safety instructions re-
garding the fuel!
Filling up with fuel
1. For filling, use a canister with filler spout or
a funnel.
2. Open the canister carefully so that existing
excess pressure is slowly reduced.
3. Open the tank cap carefully so that existing
excess pressure is slowly reduced and no
fuel sprays out.
4. Fill the fuel tank.
5. Tightly close the tank cap again.
Checking the engine oil level
Attention! Prior to each use, check the engine
oil level (see operating instructions of the en-
gine manufacturer).
To ensure sufficient oil supply for the four
stroke engine and to avoid resulting engine
damage, the device may only be used on
slopes up to 20°.
Adjusting cutting height
Adjust the cutting height setting only when the
engine is switched off.
Set the cutting height so that the blade does
not touch the ground even in case of terrain
unevenness. If the cutting height is set too
high, objects can be ejected and the “clean cut
appearance” can be destroyed.
The rear wheel height setting determines the
coarse setting of the cutting height. The height
of the steerable front wheel determines the fine
setting of the cutting height.

15
Cutting height at the rear wheels
The rear wheels can be mounted in two differ-
ent levels.
1. Switch off the engine and wait until the
blade has come to a standstill.
2. Remove the wheel cap from the rear
wheel.
1
3. Slacken the wheel bolt(1).
4. Pull out the wheel together with the cover
plate.
4
2
3 5
5. Screw it back in in position (2) or(3).
(2) = low cutting height
(3) = higher cutting height.
6. Tighten the rear wheel to a torque of
40+5Nm.
7. Put the wheel cap back on.
8. Carry out the same procedure at the other
rear wheel.
Notice: To increase speed, a pinion with
13teeth is available as accessory. If this pinion
is installed, the wheel bolt must be screwed in
the other bore holes(4)/(5).

For cleaning, use a hand brush. Remove stub-
born dirt with a wooden or plastic spatula.
Clean the outside housing parts with a cloth.
Do not clean the device with water spray or
high-pressure cleaner! Do not use any ag-
gressive cleaning agents.
