1. INPUT: ¼ ” jack for instrument input.
DIRTY/BOOST CHANNEL:
2. DIRTY GAIN: Controls the amount of pre-amp gain in the dirty channel.
3. BOOST GAIN: Controls the amount of pre-amp gain in the boost channel.
4. CONTOUR: Adjusts the tonal quality of the dirty channel.
5. GAIN SELECT: Selects between boost and dirty gain stages.
6. BASS: Controls the amount of low frequencies in the dirty/boost channel.
7. MIDDLE: Controls the amount of middle (mid) frequencies in the dirty/boost channel.
8. TREBLE: Controls the amount of high frequencies in the dirty/boost channel.
9. LEVEL: Adjusts the overall level of the dirty and boost channels.
CLEAN CHANNEL:
10. CHANNEL SELECT: Selects either the dirty / boost channels or clean channel.
11. LEVEL: Adjusts the overall level of the clean channel.
12. BASS: Controls the amount of low frequencies in the clean channel.
13. MIDDLE: Controls the amount of middle (mid) frequencies in the clean channel.
14. TREBLE: Controls the amount of high frequencies in the clean channel.
15. REVERB: Adjusts the amount of reverb present in the boost, dirty and clean channels.
16. MASTER: Controls the overall level of the amplifier.
17: PHONES: Use this jack output for headphone operation.
18. POWER SWITCH: Turns the amp on or off.

1. SEND/RETURN: ¼” jacks for send/return external effects processing.
2. FOOTSWITCH - REVERB: ¼” footswitch output for Reverb control.
3. FOOTSWITCH - CH/BOOST: ¼” footswitch output for Channel and Boost control.
4. LINE OUT: This enables connection to external devices (PA or recording equipment).
5. EXT. SPEAKER: 2 x ¼” jacks designed to allow an extension speaker (minimum value of 8
ohms) to be connected to your amp.
6. AC SOCKET: This supplies the amp with AC power. The supplied cable fits into this
socket and plugs into an AC wall power outlet - only use 240V AC 50 Hz power points.

If you are experiencing problems with your Ashton amplifier, please follow these
instructions before contacting a service technician:
1. Check that the power cord is plugged into a power outlet.
2. Check that the power is turned on at the outlet. If you are at a gig, make sure the
stage power has been turned on.
3. Check that the control knobs have been sufficiently turned up.
4. Check that the instrument is correctly plugged into the amplifier, both at the
instrument nand at the amplifier input.
5. Check the instrument lead - faulty leads are one of the most common causes of
problems. Always carry a spare working lead for this purpose.
6. Check that the volume is turned up on the instrument.
7. If the instrument has active pickups, make sure the battery is not dead.
If your amplifier still does not function, contact your local Ashton dealer, or an authorized
service agent.
