water. Never put milk, soup, coffee, tea or
rice, etc. into the kettle.

The kettle is not intended for catering
purposes.

Before using the kettle for the first time fill it
up to the maximum level (1.0 litres) and boil
it. Rinse the kettle with clean water and
repeat.
Method
Adjust the required length of supply
cord on the power base “g”. Wind
excess cord into the base and guide
through one of the recesses.
Connect the power base “g”to the
mains supply following the relevant
safety instructions.
Operate the appliance according to
the instructions below (1).

Filling with water
Open the lid “a” with the lid opener “b”
and fill the kettle (2, 3).
Check the filling level on the water level
indicator “e”. Note the maximum filling
level (4).
Note
If the kettle is accidentally started empty, the
safety cut-out will automatically switch it off.
In this case you should remove the kettle
from the power base and allow it to cool
down fully. Make sure that there is water in
the kettle before using it again.
Switching on
After filling close the lid “a” securely
making sure it is locked in place (5).
Position the kettle on the power base
and connect the power base “g” to the
mains supply (6).
Note
If the lid is not closed properly the kettle will
not shut off automatically.
Switch on the kettle using the on / off
switch “f”. The heating control lamp “c”
will illuminate (7).
Note
The on / off switch only operates when the
kettle is positioned on the power base.
