Safety information
This symbol of the crossed out wheeled bin indicates that the
product (electrical, electronic equipment and
mercury-containing button cell battery) should not be placed
in municipal waste. Check local regulations for disposal of
electronic products.
• Before setting up uFOTO, carefully read all the documentation
that came with the package.
• To prevent fire or shock hazard, never expose uFOTO to rain or
moisture.
• Never try to open uFOTO cabinet.The dangerous high voltages
inside uFOTO may result in serious physical injury.
• Before turning the device on, make sure that all cables are
correctly connected and the power cable is not damaged. If you
encounter any damage, contact your dealer immediately.
• Make sure to use uFOTO only from the type of power source
indicated on the label. If you are not sure of the type of power
supply to your home, consult your dealer or local power
company.
• Use the appropriate power plug which complies with your local
power standard.
• Do not overload power strips and extention cords. Overloading
can result in fire or electric shock.
• Avoid dust, humidity, and temperature extremes. Do not place
uFOTO in any area where it may become wet.
• Place uFOTO on a stable surface.
• Unplug the unit during a lightning storm or if it will not be
used for a long period of time.This will protect the device from
damage due to power surges.
• To ensure satisfactory operation, use uFOTO only with UL listed
computers which have appropriate configured receptacles
marked between 100-240V AC.
• If you encounter technical problems with uFOTO, contact a
qualified service technician or your retailer.

Care & Cleaning
• Follow the correct lifting techniques when positioning uFOTO.
Grasp the edges when lifting or carrying uFOTO.
• Turn your uFOTO off and unplug the power cord before cleaning.
Clean the surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stains may
be removed with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
• Avoid using a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a
cleaner intended for use with the LCD. Never spray cleaner
directly on the screen, as it may drip inside device and cause an
electric shock.
The following indications are normal with uFOTO:
• The screen may flicker during the initial use due to the nature
of the fluorescent light.When this happens, turn off the power
switch then turn the device back on.
• You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen
depending on the desktop pattern you use.
• When the same image is displayed for hours, an afterimage of the
previous screen may remain after switching images.The screen
will recover slowly or you can also reset the device.
• If you encounter a problem with your device, contact your
retailer. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself.

Connecting your uFOTO
The illustrations below show devices that you can connect to your uFOTO.

Getting started
This chapter guides you to use the functions of your uFOTO,
including viewing photos, listening to MP3, displaying the calendar,
and using the Sub-Display.

Using your uFOTO for the rst time
Setting language and time/date
1. Press or to turn on the device.
2. Go to Setting menu.
3. Select Language to set preferred language.
4. Select Time and Date to set time and date.
is for quick power on only; you cannot press turn off the
device. Press to turn on or off your uFOTO normally.

Installing the ASUS uFOTO Utility
The ASUS uFOTO Utility contains two functions: data synchronization
and sub-display.To normally use the functions, make sure to install
the ASUS uFOTO Utility successfully.
To install the ASUS uFOTO Utility:
1. Insert the support CD into the optical drive.
2. Double-click the ASUS uFOTO Utility icon, then the follow the
on-screen instructions to finish the installation.
3. Restart your computer after the installation.

uFOTO placement
With a rotating support stand, you can conveniently position your
uFOTO either vertically or horizontally on a stable and flat surface.
Horizontal placement Vertical placement
The display automatically rotates 90 degrees clockwise
depending on your preferred orientation.
Adjust the support stand:
Rotate the support stand clockwise
to adjust and support vertical or
horizontal placement.

Setting your uFOTO
Configure several basic settings from the Setting function. From the
main menu, use or to select the Setting icon , and press the
confirm button to enter.
Screen menu
uFOTO provides several visual and audio functions such as viewing
photos, listening to mp3s, displaying digital calendar, and using
the Sub-Display.

Languages
From the Setting menu, use and to
select the Language item, then press
to enter. Highlight your desired language
from the list of supported languages, then
press to confirm the selection.
Time and Date
From Setting menu, use or to select
the Time and Date item, then press
to set the precise time and date for the
Calendar display.
To set the time:
1. From the main menu, go to Setting > Time and Date > Time to
display the following screen.
2. Use or to select the field (hh / mm / ss) and change the
values. Press to confirm the setting.
To set the date:
1. From the main menu, go to Setting > Time and Date > Date to
display the following screen.

2. Use or to select the field (mm / dd / yyyy) and change the
values. Press to confirm the setting.
Brightness
Enter the Brightness item to adjust the desired brightness.
Setting the alarm
1. From the main menu, go to Setting > Alarm to display the
following screen.
2. Use or to select alarm preset, then press .
• Set the snooze.
• Set the alarm time.
• Set the alarm type
