• Beforesettingupthemonitor,carefullyreadallthedocumentationthat
came with the package.
• Topreventfireorshockhazard,neverexposethemonitortorainor
moisture.
• Nevertrytoopenthemonitorcabinet.Thedangeroushighvoltages
insidethemonitormayresultinseriousphysicalinjury.
• Ifthepowersupplyisbroken,donottrytofixitbyyourself.Contacta
qualifiedservicetechnicianoryourretailer.
• Beforeusingtheproduct,makesureallcablesarecorrectlyconnected
andthepowercablesarenotdamaged.Ifyoudetectanydamage,

• Toensuresatisfactoryoperation,usethemonitoronlywithULlisted
computers which have appropriate configured receptacles marked
between 100-240V AC.
• Ifyouencountertechnicalproblemswiththemonitor,contacta
qualifiedservicetechnicianoryourretailer.

Care & Cleaning
• Beforeyouliftorrepositionyourmonitor,itisbettertodisconnectthecables
and power cord. Follow the correct lifting techniques when positioning the
monitor.Whenliftingorcarryingthemonitor,grasptheedgesofthemonitor.
Donotliftthedisplaybythestandorthecord.
• Cleaning.Turnyourmonitoroffandunplugthepowercord.Cleanthemonitor
surfacewithalint-free,non-abrasivecloth.Stubbornstainsmayberemoved
with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
• Avoidusingacleanercontainingalcoholoracetone.Useacleanerintended
forusewiththeLCD.Neverspraycleanerdirectlyonthescreen,asitmaydrip
inside the monitor and cause an electric shock.
The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:
• Thescreenmayflickerduringtheinitialuseduetothenatureofthefluorescent
light. Turn off the Power Switch and turn it on again to make sure that the
flicker disappears.
• Youmayfindslightlyunevenbrightnessonthescreendependingonthe
desktoppatternyouuse.
• Whenthesameimageisdisplayedforhours,anafterimageoftheprevious
screenmayremainafterswitchingtheimage.Thescreenwillrecoverslowlyor
youcanturnoffthePowerSwitchforhours.
• Whenthescreenbecomesblackorflashes,orcannotworkanymore,contact
yourdealerorservicecentertofixit.Donotrepairthescreenbyyourself!

1.3 Assembling the monitor base
To assemble the monitor base:
1. Attachthebasetothearmandfixwiththescrewtojointhemtightly.Youcan
easilytightenthescrewbyfingers.
2. Adjustthemonitortotheanglethatismostcomfortableforyou.
Werecommendthatyoucoverthetablesurfacewithsoftclothtoprevent
damage to the monitor.

Make sure to screw the base to the arm tightly.

Usethishotkeytoswitchfromsixvideopresetmodes(SceneryMode,•
StandardMode,TheaterMode,GameMode,NightViewMode,and
sRGBMode)withSPLENDID™VideoEnhancementTechnology.
ExittheOSDmenuorgobacktothepreviousmenuastheOSDmenu•
is active.
2. Button:
Press this button to activate the Picture-in-picture function.•
Both the DVI and HDMI input source should not be selected as both the•
MainandPIPsourcesimultaneously.
3. Button:
Press this button to decrease the value of the function selected or move•
tothenextfuction.
ThisisalsoahotkeyforVolumeadjustment.•
4. MENUButton:
Press this button to enter the OSD menu.•
Pressthisbuttontoenter/selecttheicon(function)highlightedwhilethe•
OSD is activated.

2.1 Detaching the arm/stand
(for VESA wall mount)
ThedetachablestandoftheVE276Q/VK276QSeriesLCDmonitorisspecially
designed for VESA wall mount.
To detach the arm/stand:
1. Disconnectpowerandsignalcables.Carefullyput the front of the monitor
face down on a clean table.
2. Useascrewdrivertoremovethe two screws that secure the stand to the
monitor.
3. Detach the stand from the monitor.
• Werecommendthatyoucoverthetablesurfacewithsoftclothtoprevent
damage to the monitor.
• Holdthestandofthemonitorwhileremovingthescrews.
TheVESAwallmountkit(100x100mm)ispurchasedseparately.•
UseonlytheULListedWallMountBracketwithminimumweight/load7.9•
Kg(Screwsize:4x12mm).

2.2 Adjusting the monitor
Foroptimalviewing,werecommendthatyoulookatthefullfaceofthe•
monitor,thenadjustthemonitortotheanglethatismostcomfortableforyou.
Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling while changing its angle.•
Youcanadjustthemonitor’sanglefrom-5˚to20˚.•

2.3 Install LifeFrame 2 software
ASUSVK276Qseriesprovidestheeasy-to-useLifeFrame 2 software that can work
withthewebcam,allowinguserstocreatetheirownphotosorvideoclips.
• TheLifeFrame 2softwarecurrentlysupportsMicrosoft®Windows®7/Vista/
XPServicePack2operatingsystems.
• TheLifeFrame 2 software is bundled in the support CD.
Installation instructions
1. Close all other applications.
2. Insert the support CD into the optical drive and run the LifeFrame 2 program.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

3.3 Troubleshooting (FAQ)
Problem Possible Solution
PowerLEDisnotON Press the• button to check if the monitor is in the
ONmode.
Checkifthepowercordisproperlyconnectedtothe•
monitor and the power outlet.
The power LED lights amber and
there is no screen image
Check if the monitor and the computer are in the•
ONmode.
Makesurethesignalcableisproperlyconnected•
the monitor and the computer.
Inspect the signal cable and make sure none of the•
pins are bent.
Connect the computer with another available•
monitortocheckifthecomputerisproperlyworking.
Screen image is too light or dark Adjust the Contrast and Brightness settings via•
OSD.
Screen image is not centered or
sizedproperly Press the• button for two seconds to
automaticallyadjusttheimage.
Adjust the H-Position or V-Position settings via•
OSD.
Screen image bounces or a wave
pattern is present in the image
