• Beforesettingupthemonitor,carefullyreadallthedocumentationthat
came with the package.
• Topreventfireorshockhazard,neverexposethemonitortorainor
moisture.
• Nevertrytoopenthemonitorcabinet.Thedangeroushighvoltages
insidethemonitormayresultinseriousphysicalinjury.
• Ifthepowersupplyisbroken,donottrytofixitbyyourself.Contacta
qualifiedservicetechnicianoryourretailer.
• Beforeusingtheproduct,makesureallcablesarecorrectlyconnected
andthepowercablesarenotdamaged.Ifyoudetectanydamage,

• Toensuresatisfactoryoperation,usethemonitoronlywithULlisted
computers which have appropriate configured receptacles marked
between 100-240V AC.
• Ifyouencountertechnicalproblemswiththemonitor,contacta
qualifiedservicetechnicianoryourretailer.

Care & Cleaning
• Beforeyouliftorrepositionyourmonitor,itisbettertodisconnectthecables
and power cord. Follow the correct lifting techniques when positioning the
monitor.Whenliftingorcarryingthemonitor,grasptheedgesofthemonitor.
Donotliftthedisplaybythestandorthecord.
• Cleaning.Turnyourmonitoroffandunplugthepowercord.Cleanthemonitor
surfacewithalint-free,non-abrasivecloth.Stubbornstainsmayberemoved
with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
• Avoidusingacleanercontainingalcoholoracetone.Useacleanerintended
forusewiththeLCD.Neverspraycleanerdirectlyonthescreen,asitmaydrip
inside the monitor and cause an electric shock.
The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:
• Thescreenmayflickerduringtheinitialuseduetothenatureofthefluorescent
light. Turn off the Power Switch and turn it on again to make sure that the
flicker disappears.
• Youmayfindslightlyunevenbrightnessonthescreendependingonthe
desktoppatternyouuse.
• Whenthesameimageisdisplayedforhours,anafterimageoftheprevious
screenmayremainafterswitchingtheimage.Thescreenwillrecoverslowlyor
youcanturnoffthePowerSwitchforhours.
• Whenthescreenbecomesblackorflashes,orcannotworkanymore,contact
yourdealerorservicecentertofixit.Donotrepairthescreenbyyourself!

1.3 Assembling the monitor base
To assemble the monitor base:
1. Attachthebasetothearmandfixwiththescrewtojointhemtightly.Youcan
easilytightenthescrewbyfingers.
2. Adjustthemonitortotheanglethatismostcomfortableforyou.
Werecommendthatyoucoverthetablesurfacewithsoftclothtoprevent
damage to the monitor.

Make sure to screw the base to the arm tightly.

Usethishotkeytoswitchfromsixvideopresetmodes(SceneryMode,•
StandardMode,TheaterMode,GameMode,NightViewMode,and
sRGBMode)withSPLENDID™VideoEnhancementTechnology.
ExittheOSDmenuorgobacktothepreviousmenuastheOSDmenu•
is active.
2. Button:
Press this button to activate the Picture-in-picture function.•
Both the DVI and HDMI input source should not be selected as both the•
MainandPIPsourcesimultaneously.
3. Button:
Press this button to decrease the value of the function selected or move•
tothenextfuction.
ThisisalsoahotkeyforVolumeadjustment.•
4. MENUButton:
Press this button to enter the OSD menu.•
Pressthisbuttontoenter/selecttheicon(function)highlightedwhilethe•
OSD is activated.

2.1 Detaching the arm/stand
(for VESA wall mount)
ThedetachablestandoftheVE276Q/VK276QSeriesLCDmonitorisspecially
designed for VESA wall mount.
To detach the arm/stand:
1. Disconnectpowerandsignalcables.Carefullyput the front of the monitor
face down on a clean table.
2. Useascrewdrivertoremovethe two screws that secure the stand to the
monitor.
3. Detach the stand from the monitor.
• Werecommendthatyoucoverthetablesurfacewithsoftclothtoprevent
damage to the monitor.
• Holdthestandofthemonitorwhileremovingthescrews.
TheVESAwallmountkit(100x100mm)ispurchasedseparately.•
UseonlytheULListedWallMountBracketwithminimumweight/load7.9•
Kg(Screwsize:4x12mm).

2.2 Adjusting the monitor
Foroptimalviewing,werecommendthatyoulookatthefullfaceofthe•
monitor,thenadjustthemonitortotheanglethatismostcomfortableforyou.
Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling while changing its angle.•
Youcanadjustthemonitor’sanglefrom-5˚to20˚.•

2.3 Install LifeFrame 2 software
ASUSVK276Qseriesprovidestheeasy-to-useLifeFrame 2 software that can work
withthewebcam,allowinguserstocreatetheirownphotosorvideoclips.
• TheLifeFrame 2softwarecurrentlysupportsMicrosoft®Windows®7/Vista/
XPServicePack2operatingsystems.
• TheLifeFrame 2 software is bundled in the support CD.
Installation instructions
1. Close all other applications.
2. Insert the support CD into the optical drive and run the LifeFrame 2 program.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

3.3 Troubleshooting (FAQ)
Problem Possible Solution
PowerLEDisnotON Press the• button to check if the monitor is in the
ONmode.
Checkifthepowercordisproperlyconnectedtothe•
monitor and the power outlet.
The power LED lights amber and
there is no screen image
Check if the monitor and the computer are in the•
ONmode.
Makesurethesignalcableisproperlyconnected•
the monitor and the computer.
Inspect the signal cable and make sure none of the•
pins are bent.
Connect the computer with another available•
monitortocheckifthecomputerisproperlyworking.
Screen image is too light or dark Adjust the Contrast and Brightness settings via•
OSD.
Screen image is not centered or
sizedproperly Press the• button for two seconds to
automaticallyadjusttheimage.
Adjust the H-Position or V-Position settings via•
OSD.
Screen image bounces or a wave
pattern is present in the image
