Clock Mode
You can choose to display the time when the phone is idle at the
handset,or you can turn this feature off. The default setting is .
1Press on the handset or base.
2Press until the screen highlights
3Press . The screen displays
4Press or .
5Press to save the displayed setting.
Sound Select
This telephone uses the latest acoustic receiver design,providing
you with four different sound quality settings.
During a call, you can adjust the quality of the sound. Pressing
repeatedly will cycle you through four different
responses.
¥NOTE: The mid-boost setting is hearing-aid compatible.
BASS – Low frequency sounds enhanced.

ANSWERING SYSTEM
Turn Answering System On/Off
Press to turn the system on or off. When the system is turned
on,you will hear“Machine on”and the ON/OFF light will be lit.
When you turn the system on for the first time,it will be use the
default setting and prerecorded outgoing announcements. For
details on recording your own outgoing announcements and
changing system settings,see “ANSWERING SYSTEM OPERATION”
starting on page 45 of your User’s Manual.
Set the Clock
1Make sure the answering system is on.
2Press . The system announces the clock setting,then
announces“To change clock, press .”
3Press .
4Press until the system announces the correct day,then
press .
5Press until the system announces the correct hour,
then press .
6Press until the system announces the correct minutes,
then press . The system announces the current clock
setting.
¥NOTE: You can press and hold to advance the
minutes settingby tens.
MID – Mid-range sounds enhanced.
TREBLE – High frequency sounds enhanced.
NATURAL – No frequency enhancement.
¥NOTE: This feature is available only on the handset, not on
the speakerphone or optional headset.
