The Night Trek has the highest magnification of a
1st generation monocular available. An amazing
5x power combined with a compact, ergonomic
design makes the Night Trek an excellent unit for
your night vision needs.
A 5x magnification all glass lens system com-
bined with a high quality 1st generation + light
intensifier tube gives you a bright and sharp
image in any dark situation you may find yourself
in. A free long-range infrared illuminator is also
included to let you see even in total darkness.
Do not let darkness impair your vision for a
moment longer. Whether you are camping, boat-
ing, observing wildlife or surveying your property
for intruders the Hight Trek night vision device
lets you see what goes bump in the night.
The Hight Trek Night Vision Monocular is a com-
plex opticoelectronic system for individual use.
The device consists of an objective lens assembly,
eyepiece and a body. The body contains 1st Gen.+
image intensifier tube assembly with an integrated
high voltage power source and the three volt bat-
tery housing. When installing the battery one
should keep in mind that the battery polarity should
coincide with the diagram on the body next to the
battery housing cap.
Objective lens protective cover is intended to
protect objective lens from dust and scratches.
It also will act as a daylight filter, allowing you to
test the scope in daylight or other bright light situ-
ations. The pinhole in the center of the protective
cover allows a user to check an operation ability
of the device in daylight conditions.
NOTE: Do not test the scope in daylight conditions
even with the daylight filter/lens cap on for more
than ten (10) minutes.

• Take the monocular out of the case.
• Put power switch and IR illuminator power switch
in OFF-position.
• Install the batteries into the housing with the
polarity order as shown on the scope. Battery
Type: 1.5 Volt , AA .
• Turn on the devise by turning the power switch
into the ON-position. The greenish-lit screen of
the image tube (when looking through the eye-
piece) means that the image tube is powered.
Do not turn the unit on in the daytime without the
protective lens cap on. You should see green
glow in the eyepiece.
• Observe the scene and adjust the diopter for op-
timal image clarity.
• Turn lens to obtain a sharp image of viewed ob-
jects.
• You may now enter a dark environment or simply
shut the lights off in order to darken the room.
• Next, remove the lens cap/daylight filter. Adjust
the front lens for the distance of the focus. You
should not have to readjust the diopter.
NOTE: We suggest that you focus the diopter
during daylight with the filter on.
NOTE: The front lens should be readjusted as you
view objects at different distances.
Infra-red (IR) illuminators, are common to night
vision. The IR light greatly enhances the per-
formance of the Hight Trek while remaining
almost totally invisible to the naked eye. The IR
illuminator on the Hight Trek is located next to the
front lens.
Slide the switch to turn on or off the IR illumina-
tor.
It is important to remember that the IR illuminator
is simply an infra red light source, and like any
light source, it may loose its effectiveness over a
great distance.
• Always remember to turn off the Night Trek when
it is not in use. If you do not plan on using your
unit for a period of more than 10 days, you should
remove the batteries.
• Keep lens cap/daylight filter on when not in
use.
• Avoid contact with dust, steam, and gas.
• The Night Trek is not harmful to the user or the
environment.
• Do not disassemble except to clean the front
lens and the eyepiece: it will void your war-
ranty.
• Evaluate the scopes function by looking through
it in a lit environment with the daylight filter lens
cap on. Never use in daylight without the daylight
filter lens cap on. Do not surpass ten minutes of
testing.
• Never point the Night Trek at a bright light
source. If the scope shuts off automatically after
directing it at a bright light source, turn the unit
off and wait 1 - 2 minutes before turning the unit
back on.
• Adverse atmospheric conditions such as fog,
smog, or haze and a lack of ambient light (moon
or starlight) may diminish the effective viewing
distance. All technical data for this unit was com-
piled in a controlled environment.
• If you use the rubber eyecaps for a long period
of time, you may suffer skin inflammation. If you
develop any symptoms, consult a doctor imme-
diately.
