When using electrical appliances, necessary safety precautions
should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock,
and injury to people.These safety precautions include the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
2. Do not touch hot suaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or
heating base in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessarywhen any appliance is used by or
near children.
5. Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not using or before
cleaning it. Please allow the appliance to cool down before
puing on or taking o pas, and before cleaning it.
6. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug. If the
appliance malfunctions or gets damaged in any manner, please
refrain from using it and return it to the manufacturer for
examination, repair, or adjustment (see warranty).
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. Do not let cord hang over the edge of the table or counter. Please
refrain from touching the hot suace.
9. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated
oven.
10. Do not move the appliance if it contains hot liquids; allow it to cool
down before moving it.
11. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
12. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as adding refrigerated
foods or cold liquids into a heated pot.
13. To disconnect, remove the plug from the wall outlet.
14. The manufacturer does not recommend the use of accessory
aachments as it maycause injuries.
15. Keep 6 inches clear from the wall and 6 inches clear on all sides.
16. Make sure the carafe is accurately centered on the warming plate
or the water and grounds will ovelow from the brew basket. An
ovelow maycause personal injury or damage to propey.

NOTE: This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
• Some counteops and table suaces are not designed to
withstand the prolonged heat generated by ceain appliances.
Do not set the heated unit on a finished wood table. We
recommend placing a hot pad or trivet underyour carafe to
prevent possible damage to the suace.
• Slight smoke or odor might emit during the first few timesyou use
the appliance; this is a normal phenomenon with many heating
appliances and should not continue aer the first few uses.
WARNING:To reduce the riskof fire or electric shock, do not remove any
service covers.There are no user-serviceable pas inside the coee
maker. Only authorized personnel should repair the coee maker.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS 17. To reduce the risk of damaging the carafe and/or the riskof
personal injury, do not add cold water to the carafe if the carafe is
already hot. Allow the carafe to cool before using.
18. Do not brew coee while the brew basket lid is open.
19. While the coee is brewing, the in-app Pause and Serve feature
allows you to sneak a cup of coee from the carafe. REPLACE THE
CARAFE ON THE WARMING PLATE WITHIN 30 SECONDS TO
PREVENT OVERFLOW AND POSSIBLE INJURY.
20. If the brew basket ovelows or fails to empty into the carafe, do not
open the brew basket. Unplug the coeemaker and wait for the
contents to cool before handling.

Before you begin
1. Know your Wi-Fi network and password.
2. Make sure your mobile device is running:
• iPhone®8 or higher and iOS®8 or higher.
Any previous iPhone®or iOS®may experience
slower connections.
• Android™ 4.1x or higher.
3. Make sure thatyou connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network
(atomi sma can’t connect to 5GHz networks).
Cleaning your Sma Coee Maker
before first use
Make sure your first cup of coee is as good as it can
be by cleaning your Sma Coee Maker before its first
use. Just follow these simple steps:
1. Wash the carafe, carafe lid and the filter basket in a
mixture of mild detergent and water.
Rinse each thoroughly.
2. Run a brew cycle with water only, without adding
coee and coee filter.
3. When brewing is complete, turn your Sma Coee
Maker o, discard the water in the carafe and rinse
the carafe, carafe lid, and filter basket.

Selecting and Measuring Ground Coee
For best results, use a level tablespoon for ground
coee measurement. Make sure you use medium
grind coee for a peect brew.
Adding Water and Ground Coee
1. Open the top lid of the Sma Coee Maker.
2. Place a 10–12 cup paper basket-style filter or the
included reusable filter into the removable filter
basket.
NOTE: If using paper filters, the sides of the filter must fit flush
against the side of the filter basket. If filter collapse occurs,
dampen the filter before placing it in the filter basket. Add the
desired amount of coee and gently shake to level the coee.
3. Fill the water reservoir with cold, fresh water to the
desired capacity (1 cup equals 5 ounces).
For an easy and accurate filling, the water markings
on the water reservoir show the amount of water
needed to make the corresponding desired
number of cups. Do not fill past the “12 cup MAX
line” or water will flow out of the Sma Coee Maker.
NOTE: The amount of brewed coee would be slightly less than the
amount of water poured in the water reservoir; This is due to the
absorption of water by the coee grounds.
*WIFI buon should be disabled to use TIMER and STRONG features

To Brew Ground Coee
12 Cups 9 tbsp.
10 Cups 7.5 tbsp.
8 Cups 6.5 tbsp.
6 Cups 4.5 tbsp.
4 Cups 3 tbsp.
1 level tablespoon (tbsp) = 5 gr./0.17 oz.
1 cup = 5 fl. oz. of brewed coee
Use more or less coee to suit your taste.
1. Aer completing the steps in the Adding Water and
Ground Coee section and with the carafe and the
filter basket securely in place, turn the Sma Coee
Maker on by pressing the POWER buon once.
The POWER buon light will turn on to signal that
the Sma Coee Maker is on and brewing.
NOTE: Brew can be stopped by pressing the POWER buon a
second time.
2. Aer the used coee grounds have cooled,
carefully remove the filter basket and discard them.
NOTE: The brew basket drawer is hot aer brewing. Always allow
the Sma Coee Maker to cool down before cleaning.
3. Make sure the Glass Coee Carafe is empty and in
place before staing to brew coee.
4. Be sure to turn your Sma Coee Maker o when
no longer using it.
Preparing your Sma Coee Maker for use

without the atomi sma app

Daily Cleaning
Always unplug the Sma Coee Maker and allow it
to cool before cleaning.
• Remove and wash the filter basket, permanent filter,
carafe and carafe lid in a solution of hot water and
mild liquid soap.
• Never use abrasive cleaners, steel wool pads, or
other abrasive materials.
CAUTION: Never immerse the Sma Coee Maker
itself in water, in any other liquid or place in the
dishwasher.
Cleaning the Glass Coee Carafe
Hard water can leave a white stain on the carafe, and
coee may then turn this stain brown.
To remove carafe stains:
1. Fill the carafe with a solution of equal pas water
and vinegar and let the solution stand in the carafe
for approximately 20 minutes.
2.Discard the solution, then wash and rinse the
carafe.
Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners that may
scratch the carafe.

Set time through atomi sma app.
Open up the atomi sma app, choose your Sma
Coee Maker then select the clock icon to configure
clock seings automatically.
Set time manually.
1. Make sure that the WiFi buon is disabled.
2. Hold down the MINS/HOUR buon until “00:00” is
blinking on the display.
3. Set current minutes by pressing the MINS/HOUR
buon.
4. Press theTIMER buon to switch to hours.
5. Once “00:00” is blinking, set the current hour by
pressing the MINS/HOUR buon.
6. Hold down the POWER buon to select and save.
Cleaning and Maintaining
your Sma Coee Maker
Change Set Time

Cannot connect to your Wi-Fi network.
Make sure you entered the correct Wi-Fi password
during the Wi-Fi setup. Check if there are problems
with your internet connection. If the Wi-Fi signal is too
weak, reset your Wi-Fi router and try again.
The “POWER” light does not light up.
The Sma Coee Maker is unplugged; plug the Sma
Coee Maker back into the wall outlet.
The coee is not brewing.
1. The Sma Coee Maker is unplugged; plug the
Sma Coee Maker back into the wall outlet.
2. There’s a power outage; wait for power to be
restored.
3. The filter basket is not inseed correctly: inse the
filter basket correctly.
4. The carafe is not correctly placed on the warming
plate; place the carafe correctly on the warming plate.
The Sma Coee Maker only brews water.
There are no coee grounds in the filter basket; add
the desired amount of coee to the filter.
There are grounds in the coee.
The filter is not correctly placed in the basket; seat the
filter properly within the filter basket.
