
When using electrical appliances, necessary safety precautions
should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock,
and injury to people.These safety precautions include the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
2. Do not touch hot suaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or
heating base in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessarywhen any appliance is used by or
near children.
5. Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not using or before
cleaning it. Please allow the appliance to cool down before
puing on or taking o pas, and before cleaning it.
6. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug. If the
appliance malfunctions or gets damaged in any manner, please
refrain from using it and return it to the manufacturer for
examination, repair, or adjustment (see warranty).
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. Do not let cord hang over the edge of the table or counter. Please
refrain from touching the hot suace.
9. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated
oven.
10. Do not move the appliance if it contains hot liquids; allow it to cool
down before moving it.
11. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
12. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as adding refrigerated
foods or cold liquids into a heated pot.
13. To disconnect, remove the plug from the wall outlet.
14. The manufacturer does not recommend the use of accessory
aachments as it maycause injuries.
15. Keep 6 inches clear from the wall and 6 inches clear on all sides.
16. Make sure the carafe is accurately centered on the warming plate
or the water and grounds will ovelow from the brew basket. An
ovelow maycause personal injury or damage to propey.

NOTE: This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
• Some counteops and table suaces are not designed to
withstand the prolonged heat generated by ceain appliances.
Do not set the heated unit on a finished wood table. We
recommend placing a hot pad or trivet underyour carafe to
prevent possible damage to the suace.
• Slight smoke or odor might emit during the first few timesyou use
the appliance; this is a normal phenomenon with many heating
appliances and should not continue aer the first few uses.
WARNING:To reduce the riskof fire or electric shock, do not remove any
service covers.There are no user-serviceable pas inside the coee
maker. Only authorized personnel should repair the coee maker.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS 17. To reduce the risk of damaging the carafe and/or the riskof
personal injury, do not add cold water to the carafe if the carafe is
already hot. Allow the carafe to cool before using.
18. Do not brew coee while the brew basket lid is open.
19. While the coee is brewing, the in-app Pause and Serve feature
allows you to sneak a cup of coee from the carafe. REPLACE THE
CARAFE ON THE WARMING PLATE WITHIN 30 SECONDS TO
PREVENT OVERFLOW AND POSSIBLE INJURY.
20. If the brew basket ovelows or fails to empty into the carafe, do not
open the brew basket. Unplug the coeemaker and wait for the
contents to cool before handling.
