When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed to reduce the riskof fire, electric
shock, and / or injury to persons, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
2. Do not touch hot suaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord,
plug, or heating base in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is
used by or near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before puing on or taking o pas, and
before cleaning the appliance.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or
plug or aer the appliance malfunctions or has been

13.To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet.
14. The use of accessory aachments are not
recommended by the manufacturer as it may
cause injuries.
15. Keep 6 inches clear from the wall and 6 inches
clear on all sides.

• Some counteop and table suaces are not
designed to withstand the prolonged heat generated
by ceain appliances. Do not set the heated unit on a
finished wood table. We recommend placing a hot
pad or trivet under your carafe to prevent possible
damage to the suace.
• During initial use of this appliance, some slight smoke
and/or odor may be detected. This is normal with
many heating appliances and will not recur aer a
few uses.
WARNING:To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock,
do not remove any service covers.There are no user
serviceable pas inside the coee maker. Only
authorized personnel should repair the coee maker.

next cup of coee from your phone anytime,
anywhere! Set weekly schedules, turn your Sma
Coee Maker on and o automatically, and
much more.
Cleaning your Sma Coee Maker
before first use
Make sure your first cup of coee is as good as it
can be by cleaning your Sma Coee Maker
before its first use. Just follow these simple steps:
1. Wash the carafe, carafe lid and the filter basket
in a mixture of mild detergent and water.
Rinse each thoroughly.
2. Run a brew cycle with water only, without
adding coee and coee filter.
3. When brewing is complete, turn your Sma
Coee Maker o, discard the water in the carafe
and rinse the carafe, carafe lid, and filter basket.
Before you begin
1. Know your Wi-Fi network and password.
2. Make sure your mobile device is running iOS®
8 or higher or Android™ 4.1× or higher.
3. Make sure you’re connected to a 2.4GHz
Wi-Fi network (atomi sma app can’t connect
to 5GHz networks).

into any standard outlet.

Selecting and Measuring Ground Coee
For best results, use a level tablespoon for ground
coee measurement. Make sure you use medium grind
coee for a peect brew.
Adding Water and Ground Coee
1. Open the top lid of the Sma Coee Maker.
2. Place a 10–12 cup paper basket-style filter or
the included reusable filter into the removable
filter basket.
NOTE: If using paper filters, it is impoant that the sides of the filterfit flush
against the side of the filter basket. If filter collapse occurs, dampen the filter
before placing in the filter basket. Add the desired amount of coee and
gently shake to level the coee.
3. Fill the water reservoir with cold, fresh water
to the desired capacity (1 cup equals 5 ounces).
For easy and accurate filling, the water markings on
the water reservoir show the amount of water
needed to make the corresponding desired
number of cups. Do not fill past the “12 cup MAX line”
or water will flow out of the Sma Coee Maker.
NOTE: The amount of coee brewed will always be slightly less than the
amount of water poured in the water reservoir. This is due to the
absorption of water by the coee grounds.

Preparing Sma Coee Maker for use
To Brew Ground Coee
12 Cups 9 tbsp.
10 Cups 7.5 tbsp.
8 Cups 6.5 tbsp.
6 Cups 4.5 tbsp.
4 Cups 3 tbsp.
1 level tablespoon (tbsp) = 5 gr./0.17 oz.
1 cup = 5 fl. oz. of brewed coee
Use more or less coee to suit your taste.
Using your Sma Coee Maker
without the atomi sma app
1. Aer completing the steps in the Adding Water and
Ground Coee section and with the carafe and the
filter basket securely in place, turn the Sma Coee
Maker on by pressing the POWER buon once.
The POWER buon light will turn on to signal that
the Sma Coee Maker is on and brewing.
NOTE: Brew can be stopped by pressing the POWER buon a second time.
2. Aer the used coee grounds have cooled, carefully
remove the filter basket and discard them.
NOTE: The brew basket drawer is hot aer brewing. Always allow the
Sma Coee Maker to cool down before cleaning.
3. Make sure the Glass Coee Carafe is empty and in
place before staing to brew coee.
4. Be sure to turn your Sma Coee Maker o when
no longer using it.

Adding Water and Ground Coee

your Sma Coee Maker
Daily Cleaning
Always unplug the Sma Coee maker and allow
to cool before cleaning.
• Remove and wash the filter basket, permanent filter,
carafe and carafe lid in a solution of hot water and
mild liquid soap.
• Never use abrasive cleansers, steel wool pads or other
abrasive materials.
• DO NOT put carafe and lid in the dishwasher.
CAUTION: Never immerse the Sma Coee Maker itself in water, in anyother
liquid or place in the dishwasher.
Cleaning the Glass Coee Carafe
Hard water can leave a white stain on the carafe, and
coee may then turn this stain brown.
To remove carafe stains:
1. Fill the carafe with a solution of equal pas
water and vinegar and let the solution stand in the
carafe for approximately 20 minutes.
2. Discard the solution, then wash and rinse the carafe.
Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners that may scratch
the carafe.

Change Set Time
Set time through atomi sma app.
Open up the atomi sma app, choose your Sma Coee
Maker then select the clockicon to automatically
configure clock seings.
Set time manually.
1. Hold down the HOUR buon until “00:00” is blinking
on the display.
2. Set current hour by pressing the HOUR buon.
3. Press POWER buon to select and save.
4. Hold down the MIN buon until “00:00” is blinking
on the display.
5. Set current minute by pressing the MIN buon.
6. Press POWER buon to select and save.

Troubleshooting
Cannot connect to your Wi-Fi network.
Make sure you entered the correct Wi-Fi password during
the Wi-Fi setup. Check if there are problems with your
internet connection. If the Wi-Fi signal is too weak, reset
your Wi-Fi router and try again.
The “POWER” light does not light up.
The Sma Coee Maker is unplugged. Plug the Sma
Coee Maker back into the wall outlet.
The Coee is not brewing.
1. The Sma Coee Maker is unplugged. Plug the Sma
Coee Maker back into the wall outlet.
2. There’s a power outage. Wait for power to be restored.
3. The filter basket is not properly inseed. Inse filter
basket correctly.
4. Carafe is not placed all the way on the warming plate.
Place carafe correctly on warming plate.
The Sma Coee Maker only brews water.
There are no coee grounds in the filter basket.
Add the desired amount of coee to the filter.
There are grounds in the coee.
The filter is not properly placed in the basket. Seat the filter
properly within the filter basket.
