ARMING THE SYSTEM - ACTIVE
1.Turnofftheengine, exit thevehicle, andclose alldoors, hoodlid, andtrunk lid.
2.Press andrelease theARM/DISARM buttonon the keychaintransmitter.
Reddash mountedL.E.D. beginsto flashslowly.
ParkingLights flashone time.
Sirensounds onechirp.
If the siren sounds 3 chirps, then you have left a door, trunk, or hood lid
ajar. Simply close the opened entry point to provide full protection. If the
siren did not sound when arming, then the chirps have been turned off,
and you should refer to the section titled “ ELIMINATING THE ARM /
DISARMCHIRPS “ inthis manual.

Red dash mounted L.E.D. begins to flash rapidly, indicating 30 second passive
arminghas begun.
2. Opening any protected entry point during the 30 second passive arming cycle will immedi-
atelysuspend automaticarming, andthe 30second passivearming cyclewill restart when
alldoors areclosed. Atthe endof thepassive armingcycle;

Doorlocking duringpassivearming isaselectable feature.Thealarm can
be programmed to allow the doors to lock only when arming using the
keychain transmitter, and they will not automatically lock during passive
arming.

PROTECTION WHILE THE SYSTEM IS ARMED
Openingany protecteddoor, hood,ortrunk lidwillcause thealarmto immediatelysound.
The alarm will continue to sound for 30 seconds, then stop and continue to monitor all
protected entry points. If the thief left a door opened, the alarm will sound for six 30
secondcycles, remainarmedandignorethat triggeredzone.
Wheneverthe systemis armed,the reddash mountedL.E.D. indicatorwill slowlyflash.
This serves as a visual deterrent to the potential thief. The L.E.D. is a very low current
bulb,and willnot cause thevehicle’sbattery todrain, even whenleftunattended forex-
tendedperiods.
Whenever the system is triggered, the vehicle’s parking lights will flash for the full 30
secondalarm cycle,attractingvisualattentionto thevehicle.
Optional- Wheneverthe systemis armed,the vehicle’sstarting circuitwillbe bypassed.
Ifthe thiefshould chooseto ignorethe siren,the vehiclecan notbestarted.
Any strong impact to the vehicle’s glass will cause the alarm to trigger for the full 30
secondalarm cycle.
DISARMING THE SYSTEM
1. Asyou approach thevehicle, pressand releasethe ARM/ DISARM buttonon thekeychain
transmitter.
Reddash mounted L.E.D.turns off.
Ifpassive arming wasselected duringthe installation,then theL.E.D. will
startflashingrapidly, indicatingthatthesystemis rearming automatically.
Openany doorto suspendtheautomatic arming.
ParkingLights flashtwo times.
If the parking lights flashed three times, then the alarm was triggered in
your absence. Before turning the key on, examine the L.E.D. to identify
whichzone wastriggered.
Sirensounds twochirps.
Ifthe sirensounds 4chirps,thenthealarm wastriggered inyour absence.

INTRUSION WARNING SIGNALS
This system will inform you if an intrusion attempt has occurred while you were away from the
vehicle.If anintrusionattempt hasoccurred,the sirenwillchirp 4timesand theparkinglights will
flash3 timeswhen disarmingthe system.Enterthe vehicle,and observethe reddash mounted
L.E.D.to identifywhich zonewas triggered.
If the L.E.D. is flashing one time...pause...one time...pause...etc., then an intrusion
attempt was made to the shock sensor, or an accessory triggering device that may
havebeen addedtothe system.
Ifthe L.E.D.is flashingtwo times...pause...twotimes...pause...etc., thenan intrusion
attemptwas madeto ahood ortrunk pinswitch thatwasaddedtothe system,or toa
lightactivated entrypoint ifthealarm wasinstalled usingthevoltagesensingfeature.
Ifthe L.E.D.is flashingthree times...pause...threetimes...pause...etc., thenan intru-
sionattempt wasmade throughoneofthevehicle’sdoors.
Theseintrusion warning indicatorsare storedin the system’smemory,andwill onlybe erased
whenthe ignitionkey isturned on.

VALET / SYSTEM OVERRIDE SWITCH
The valet switch allows you to temporarily bypass all alarm functions, eliminating the need to
handyour transmitterto parking attendantsor garagemechanics. Whenthe systemis invalet
mode, all alarm functions are bypassed, however the remote panic feature and remote door
lockswill remainoperational.To usethevalet mode;
1.Enter thevehicle, andturn theignition keyto theon position.
2.Move thevalet toggleswitch tothe onposition. Thedash mountedL.E.D. willturn
onsolid, andremain onas longas thesystemis invalet mode.
3.To returntonormaloperation, movethevaletswitchbacktotheoffposition anytime
theignition ison.
Inthe eventthat you loseyour keychaintransmitter, orif thetransmitter failsto disarmthesys-
tem, the valet switch can be used to disarm the alarm. Open the vehicle’s door ( the alarm will
sound ). Turn the ignition key on, and move the valet switch to the on position. The alarm will
disarm,and thevehicle cannow bestarted.
NOTE :Alwaysremember tomove thevaletswitchbackto theoffposition.This willensurethat
thevehicle remainsprotected atalltimes.
ELIMINATING THE NORMALARM / DISARM CHIRPS
As explainedearlier inthemanual, youcan eliminatethechirps selectivelyany timeyouarm or
disarmthe systemsimply byholding theARM /DISARM buttonfor twoseconds. Ifyou findthe
normalarming anddisarming chirpsannoying,they canbe turnedoff permanently, eliminating
theneedto holdtheARM / DISARMbutton for twoseconds. Todo this,
1.Startwith thevalet switch inthe offposition, thenturn theignition keyon thenoff.
2.Within 10seconds, movethe valetswitch to onthen offthree times.
3.If thechirps wereon beforeyou started,then youwill hear2 chirpsindicating they
havebeen turnedoff.
If the chirps were off before you started, then you will hear one chirp indicating they
havebeenturned on.
NOTE : Wheneverthe chirps areby -passed, the4 chirpintrusion indicatorand 3chirp defec-
tivezoneindicator willalwaysoperate.Since theseareimportantwarnings toyouthatsomething
hashappened, theycannotbe eliminated.

REMOTE PANIC OPERATION
The ARM / DISARM button on your keychain transmitter also functions as a panic switch for
usein emergencysituations. Touse remotepanic,
1. Press and hold the ARM / DISARM button on the keychain transmitter for 3 or
moreseconds. Thealarmwill immediatelysound.
2. To stop the alarm, press and hold theARM / DISARM button on the transmitter
againfor 3seconds. Ifthebutton isnot pressed,the alarmwill automaticallystop
after30 seconds.
NOTE : Allnormal transmitterfunctions willoperate inthe panicmode.

Si la sirène émet trois tonalités, c’est parce qu’une porte ou un capot
sontrestésentrouverts. Ilsuffit defermer complètement tousles accès
pourassurer une protectiontotale. Sila sirènene faitretentiraucun son
àl’armement, c’estparce quelafonction tonalitésd’avertissement aété
désactivée. Dans ce cas, consulter la section du manuel intitulée
“ÉLIMINATION DES TONALITÉS D’ARMEMENT / DÉSARMEMENT”.
Les portes se verrouillent — En option.

que l’armement passif qui dure 30 secondes a commencé.
2. L’ouverture de tout accès protégé au cours du cycle d’armement passif de 30 secondes
interrompt immédiatement l’armement automatique et le cycle d’armement passif de 30
secondesreprend unefoisquetoutesles portessont fermées.Àla findu cycled’armement

Si la sirène ne fait retentir aucun son à l’armement, c’est parce que la
fonction tonalités d’avertissement a été désactivée. Dans ce cas,
consulterlasection dumanuelintitulée “ÉLIMINATION DESTONALITÉS
D’ARMEMENT / DÉSARMEMENT”.
Les portes se verrouillent — En option.
Leverrouillage desportesau coursdel’armement passifestune fonction
optionnelle. L’alarme peut être programmée pour que les portes ne se
verrouillent que si l’armement est effectué à l’aide du transmetteur de
porte-clé; dans ce cas, elles ne se verrouillent pas automatiquement
pendantl’armement passif.

PROTECTION PENDANT QUE LE SYSTÈME EST ARMÉ
L’ouverture de toute porte ou de tout capot protégés déclenche l’alarme sonore
immédiatement. L’alarme retentit pendant 30 secondes, puis s’arrête et continue à
surveillertous lesaccèsprotégés. Silevoleur laisseune porteouverte,l’alarme retentit
pendant 6 cycles de 30 secondes, reste armée et ignore la zone ayant motivé le
déclenchement.
Chaque fois que le système est armé, la DEL rouge du tableau de bord clignote
lentement. Cet avertissement visuel a pour but de décourager le voleur potentiel. La
DEL est une lampe à très faible courant qui ne risque pas d’épuiser la batterie du
véhicule,même si ellereste alluméependant de longuesdurées.
Chaquefois quele systèmeest déclenché,les feuxde positiondu véhiculese mettent
àclignoter pendant ladurée totalede 30secondes ducycle d’alarme, afind’attirer les
regardssurle véhicule.
Enoption —Chaque foisque lesystème estarmé, lecircuit dedémarragedu véhicule
estmis en dérivation.Même sile voleur choisitd’ignorer lasirène, levéhicule ne peut
êtremisen route.
Tout choc important sur une vitre du véhicule déclenche le cycle complet de l’alarme
quiretentit pendant 30secondes.
DÉSARMEMENT DU SYSTÈME
1. Lorsque vous approchez du véhicule, il faut appuyer sur le bouton ARMEMENT /
DÉSARMEMENT du transmetteur de porte-clé et le relâcher.
La DEL rouge du tableau de bord s’éteint.
Sil’on a choisil’armement passifde l’alarme aucours del’installation, la
DELse met àclignoter rapidement, indiquantque lesystème se réarme
automatiquement. L’ouverture d’une porte interrompt le réarmement
automatique.
Les feux de position clignotent deux fois.
Si les feux de position clignotent trois fois, c’est que l’alarme a été
déclenchéeenvotre absence.Avantdetourner laclédecontact,examiner
la DEL pour identifier la zone où le déclenchement a eu lieu.
Lasirènefait retentirdeux tonalités.
Sila sirèneémet quatretonalités, c’estquel’alarme aété déclenchéeen
votreabsence.Avantde tourner laclé decontact, examiner laDELpour
identifier la zone où le déclenchement a eu lieu après avoir consulté la
section du manuel intitulée SIGNAUX D’AVERTISSEMENT EN CAS
D’EFFRACTION.
Sila sirènene faitretentir aucunson audésarmement, c’estparce quela
fonctiontonalitésd’avertissement aétédésactivée.Danscecas,consulter
la section du manuel intitulée “ÉLIMINATION DES TONALITÉS
D’ARMEMENT / DÉSARMEMENT”.
