Powering andInstallation
1. Powering the System Indoors (Refer to Figure 1)
Plugone endoftheACto DCadapter into theDCinputjackonthe
rightsideofthe main unit,then plug theother endintothe100~240V
AC power receptacle.
2. Powering the System in a Car
Plug one end of theAutomotive
Power adapter into the DC input
jackon the unit, then plugthe other
end into thevehiclepower outlet.
3.ToChargethe Built-in Battery
Plug oneend oftheACto DC adapter into theDCjack on the side
of the TV,then plugthe other end into the 100~240VAC power
outlet, or plug one end of the automotive poweradapteronthe side
of the TV, then plugthe other end into thevehicle poweroutlet, as
shown inFigure1. Make surethattheTV isturnedoff, andthered
charge light turns on. Once fullycharged, the LED indicator turns
off,thenremove theAC to DCadapter wallplug ortheautomotive
power adapter.
NOTE: Your new batterymust be charged a minimum of8 hours
before thefirst usage. Eachfull recharge takes approxi-
mate five hours and onefull charge can provide power to
the player for approximate 2.5 hours.

Settings Menu

OSDDuration: Select the duration ofthe on-screen display.
SleepTimer: TheTV turnsoffif inactive for amount of time (5,10,15,
30,45,60,90,120,180, 240 MinorOff).
Time Zone: Select yourtime zone.
Daylight Saving Time: Turn Daylight Saving On/Off.
2.Setup
Language:Select different languages.
Transparency:Make the menu transparent.
Closed Caption: Youcanchoose a kind ofclosedcaptionyoudesire
and set it onoroff.
TVDisplayModes: Switch among Auto, Wide, Zoom, Cinema.
RestoreDefault: Reset settings to factorydefault.
3. Channel Setup(onlyon TV)
Antenna: Switch between air and CATV.
Auto Scan: Scans for channels to save to memory. Erases
previouslysaved channelinformation.
Auto Scan AddCH: Scans for channels to save to memory, but
does not erasepreviously savedchannelinformation.
Channel Skip: Set theTVtoskip specific channels.
Channel NO: Switch the channel, but remainsin Menumode.
ChannelLabel: Letsyouedittheprogramlabel that appears whena
channel is selected.

Connecting a TV Antenna/ Cable to Receive Channels
To view television channelscorrectly, a signal must be received
from one ofthe following sources:
1.Anindoor or outdoorantenna
2.A cable system, note thatafteryour subscription isactive,unplug
the Antenna from the TV as shown below.Then plugin the cable
from the cablecompanyto theRFIN on your TV.
Using antenna/cable to receiveprograms
a. For thefirst timeyou turn onthe TV, thereisnot any channel
stored, apop-up screen appears: “Do you want to proceed with
auto scan?”The selection ofYES enables you to perform a auto
scan without navigatingto the channel setup menu first.
b. After finishingautoscan, a channel list will be save intheTV.
Youcanalsofollowbelow steps to re-scan the available
channelsfor your TV.
1. Press the SOURCEbutton to make sure your TV is intheTV
mode.
2. PresstheMENUbuttonto enter themain menu.
3. PresstheRIGHTbuttontwice tohighlight the “Antennaicon”.
4. PresstheDOWNARROW(CH-) to highlight the Antenna
selection.

5. Press the LEFT or RIGHT buttonto select CATV/Air selec-
tion for theantennaselection.
6.If youare using theindooror outdoorantenna, select Airhere.
Press the DOWN button and select “Auto Scan”.
7. Ifyou are using the cable system, select CATV. Pressthe
DOWN button to select “AutoScan”. UseLEFTorRIGHT
buttonto set theCable System you desire, Auto shouldbe
the correct settingfor most cable systems. Ifyou choose Air
for the antenna selection, the CableSystem selectionis
unavailable. Thenpress the DOWNbutton andselect “Start
to Scan”.
8. TheTV will start scanningthe channels andstore the
channelsfoundin TVs channelmemory.
9. When the scan is complete, the number ofchannels will be
shown on thescreenand the TV willtune to the first channel
found.
10. Use the same wayto select “Auto Scan Add CH”to add
more channels to those scanned.
NOTE: Press MENU button to interrupt the channel scanning.
If theTVdidntfind anychannel, theChannelupandDown
buttons do not function.
Selecting Digital Channels
You can select specificdigitalTV stations usingyour remotecontrol.
Toselect a digital station, enterthechannelnumber followed by “-1”.
For example, enter “11-1”for the digital channel 11. Ifavailable, the
digitalchannel appears.
Somedigital stations provide multiple broadcastsonasingle channel.
Toaccess these directly,enter highernumbersafterthe channel
number.Forexample,“11-2”“11-3”etc.fordigital broadcasts ofchan-
nel 11. Ifavailable,thesedigital channelsappear.

Using Your TV as a Monitor
1.First, pressSOURCE buttonto chooseAVIN mode.
2. Connect the AVCableplugsto the AVout jack ofAVDevice as
below:
Yellowplug:Connect to theVIDEO OUTjack ontheAVDevice.
Red plug: Connectto theAUDIO IN RjackontheAV Device.
White plug: Connectto theAUDIO IN Ljack ontheAVDevice.
3.Finally,Connect theAV cables1/8-inchplug to theAVIN jack on
the TV unit.

Using External Antenna
Ifthe picture isnot clearwith thebuilt-inrod antenna,try placingyour
TVnear awindowor connecting an externalantenna to the TVto
improvereception.If youarein anarea withweakTVsignals orinside
a concrete building, you might need an external antennato improve
reception. The supplied externalantenna provides convenience and
flexibilityforreceivingdigital signals.Aoutdoor antenna couldalso be
used to pickup weaksignals. Rather than usinga “screw-on F con-
nector”toconnectto your outdoor antennaAudiovox recommends
using QuickSlip-on “F”connectors (not included).

tion to select the correct antennafor your
area and also will knowwhich wayto point

-Thepicture freezing,pixilation, dropouts and
nosignal are all signsthat theTV signalmay
beweak.Many factors affect howstrongthe
