1.Donot allowanything torest onthe powercord.
2.Donotlocatethisproduct wherepersonswillwalkon the cord.
3.Usethe properpowercordwithcorrectattachmentplug type.If the
powersourceis120VAC,useapowercordthathasULand C-UL
approvals.If the powersourceisa240VACsupply,usethe tandem
(Tblade)type attachmentplug withground conductorpowercordthat
meetsthe respectiveEuropeancountry’ssafetyregulations,suchas
VDEforGermany.
4.Donot overloadwall outletsorpowercords. Ensurethat the totalof all
unitspluggedintothe walloutlet doesnot exceed 10 amperes.

Thismonitorisequipped withanauto-sensingpowersupplyfor
voltageranges100~240V,50~60Hz.Pleasefollowthe following
instructiontoinstall LCD monitor.
1.Makesure that the systempower isturnedoff.
2.Plug the signalcabletothe signalconnector atthe rear of
PCandtherearof theLCD monitor.
3.PlugadapteroutputcabletothejackattherearofLCD
monitorand the powercord tothe adapter.
4.Connectthepowercord topower source.
5.Turn onthe computerand the monitor.
6.Then pushtheOSDmenu buttonandusetheAutoAdjust
function tofinethebest mode ofyourcomputer.

Touchscreen used forUltraViewproductsaremanufactured by3M. Hereprovide
TouchWareTM Softwareincludestouchscreen driversforyourinstalling.
For Windows95, 98, Me,NT4.0, 2000 & XP
1.Open the driverCD providedalongwiththe product ordownloadthe driver
fromourWebsite.
2.Makesureyou havecompleted the appropriatehardwareconnections.
3.Poweron yoursystem. Makesureno otherapplicationareopened.
4.Doubleclickthe “TW564SR4.exe files.
5.Unzipthe fileand saveitinadefault folder
6.Followthe onscreen instructionstobeginthe installation.

Note: ChooseExpressoptionforautomaticallyinstallsthe required TouchWareTM
softwarefiles, createaTouchWareTM softwareprogramfiles,and placea
TouchWareTM softwareicon ontheWindowsdesktopandcontrol panel.

7.Onceinstallationiscomplete, restart the system. Asthe systemrestarts,
Windowsdetectsand loadsthe driver.
Forserialcontrollers,restart the system. Asthesystemrestarts,Win-
dowsdetectsand loadthe driver
ForUSB controllers, connect thetouchscreencabletotheUSB portin
yourcomputer. Afterafewseconds, the systembeepstoindicateit has
detected the touchscreen andloaded the driver.
For DOS
Whenyou installTouchwarefromDOS, the Installprogramonlyloadsthe
touchscreenfilesspecifictoDOS. Theinstallationincludesthe following files:
Touchscreen driverforDOS
Touchscreen controlpanelforDOS
Pen Configuration utilityforDOS
MicrocalDiagnosticutility
ThruGlasscontrolpanelforDOS
DOShelpfiles
If you do not plantouseanyofthe touchscreen filesforwindows, you maywant
toinstalljust the DOStouchscreen files.
1.Open the driverCD providedalongwiththe product ordownloadthe driver
fromourWebsite.
2.Makesureyou havecompleted the appropriatehardwareconnections.If
not, the Installprogramcannot properlyconfigurethe touchscreen.
3.Closeallapplicationsand exitfromWindows.
4.Insert theTouchWareDisk intoadiskettedrive.
5.Access the DOScommand line prompt.
6.Change tothe drivethathastheTouchWarediskette. Forexample, enter A:
if youinserted the TouchWaredisketteinDriveA.
Note: Thisstep isnotnecessary forWindows2000 orabovesystem,The driverloads
automatically.

7.Type INSTALL followed bythe sourcedisk drive,the destination drive,and
the destination directory.
Forexample,the followingcommand copiesthe filesfromDriveA(source
drive)toDriveC(destinationdrive)and the \MTS\TOUCH directory:
INSTALL A:C:\MTS\TOUCH
8.Press Enter.The systemreportsthatitisabouttocopytheDOStouchscreen
filesand prompt forconfirmation that you want tocontinue.
9.Press C tostart the installation.
First,theInstallprogramcopiesallDOStouchscreenfilesfromthe
TouchWarediskettetothespecified destinationdriveanddirectory.
Next, the Installprogramautomaticallysearched through the system
and configuresthetouchscreentothe properCOMport,interrupt,and
communication rate.
Finally,the Install programpromptsifyou wantittoautomaticallymodify
yourAUTOEXEC.BATfile
If you letthe InstallprogrammodifyyourAUTOEXEC.BATfile,thesystem
automaticallyloadsthe DOStouchscreendriverwheneveryoustartyour
computer.
If you do notletthe InstallprogrammodifyyourAUTOEXEC.BATfile,you
mustload theDOStouchscreen driverbeforeusingaDOStouchapplication.

LoadingtheDOSTouchscreenDriver
Afteryou installthe filesfortheDOStouchscreen driver, you must loadthe driver
beforeyou can run aDOStouchapplication oropen the DOSTouchscreen
controlpanel.
You can runthe DOStouchscreendriverfromafull-screen DOSsession within
Windows. However, the Windowstouchscreendrivercannotbe running. Error
message reads: “Windowsx.xisrunningin386Enhanced mode. Devicenot
found.
Thismeanseitherthe WindowsTouchscreen driverisloaded orthe COMport/
IRQ designationsareincorrect.
You can manuallyload the DOStouchscreen driverwhen needed, oryou canlet
the systemautomaticallyload the driverwhenyou startup yourcomputer.
Tomanuallyload the DOStouchscreendriver:
1.Closeallapplicationsand exitfromWindows.
2.Access the DOScommand line prompt.
3.Usethe Change Directory(cd)command toswitchtothe directorythat
hasthe DOStouchdriverfiles. Bydefault, the Installprogramloads
TouchWareintothe C:\MTS|TOUCH directory.
4.Type DOSTOUCH andthenpress Enter.The systemdisplays amessage
that the driverisnowinstalled. Forexample:

Driver Installed
Toautomaticallyloadthe DOStouchscreen driverwhen you startup your
computer, add the followingline toyourAUTOEXEC.BATfile:

the filesforthe DOStouchscreen. Forexample:
