■Verwenden Sie nie ein beschädigtes Gerät oder Netzanschlusskabel (1.).
Lassen Sie es in Betrieb nie ohne Aufsicht stehen und tragen Sie es nie in
heissem Zustand.
■Lassen Sie in der Gegenwart von Kindern besondereVorsicht walten (2.).Kinder
sollten beaufsichtigt werden, um sicherzustellen, dass sie nicht mit dem Gerät

Verwendungszweck
Das Elektrorechaud AVALON eignet sich dank dem stufenlosen Temperaturregler
zum Kochen und Warmhalten von Speisen am Tisch, in der Küche, im Büro und
Atelier. Und falls der Elektroanschluss fehlerstrom-geschützt ist, kann das Elektro-
rechaud AVALON auch auf dem Balkon und Gartensitzplatz verwendet werden.
Zum Beispiel um Suppen, Saucen oder Eintopfgerichte warmzuhalten oder Käse-,
Fleisch- und Fischfondues sowie à la minute Gerichte zuzubereiten. Besonders
passend dazu der Stöckli Fonduetopf ABSOLUTE (Art. Nr. 8730.24).

Lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig durch. Personen,die mit dieser nicht
vertraut sind sowie Kinder, dürfen das Gerät nicht bedienen. Benützen Sie das
Gerät ausschliesslich zum dafür vorgesehenen Zweck. Jegliche missbräuchliche
Verwendung ist aufgrund der damit verbundenen Gefahren strengstens untersagt.
Vor der Inbetriebnahme
Stellen Sie das Gerät an den Standort des späteren Gebrauchs. Die Standfläche
soll stabil, waagrecht und trocken sein. Halten SieAbstand von Wänden und ande-
ren Gegenständen (wie z.B. Kerzen). Das Gerät verursacht beim ersten Gebrauch
einen für Elektrogeräte typischen Geruch, der nach einigen Minuten nicht mehr
wahrnehmbar ist. Dieser Geruch ist völlig normal und hat keinen Einfluss auf die
Qualität des Produkts.
Inbetriebnahme
Stecken Sie den Netzstecker ein. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein, indem Sie den
Temperaturregler auf Stufe 1 oder höher stellen. Wir empfehlen Ihnen, das Gerät
max. 5 min. vorzuheizen.
Reinigung und Pflege
Schalten Sie den Schalter aus und ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.
Lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen. Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals ins Wasser und
reinigen Sie es nicht in der Geschirrspülmaschine.Achten Sie darauf, das Gerät nur
mit einem weichen, feuchten Lappen zu reinigen. Die Gusskochplatte darf mit
handelsüblichen Kochplatten-Reinigern behandelt werden. Arbeiten Sie nie mit
aggressiven, harten oder scheuernden Reinigungsmitteln oder -Gegenständen.
Aufbewahrung
Bewahren Sie das Gerät an einem trockenen und für Kinder unzugänglichen Ort
auf.
Entsorgung
■ Ausgediente Geräte können bei einer Verkaufsstelle zur kostenlosen fachge-
rechten Entsorgung abgegeben werden.
■ Geräte mit gefährlichem Defekt sofort entsorgen und sicherstellen, dass sie
nicht mehr verwendet werden können.
■ Geräte nicht mit dem Hauskehricht entsorgen (Umweltschutz)!

Attention! L’appareil devient très chaud – il y a donc danger de brûlures!
■Ne jamais utiliser un appareil ou un cordon électrique endommagé (1.). Ne
jamais le laisser fonctionner sans surveillance et ne jamais le transporter
lorsqu’il est chaud.
■Exercer une surveillance accrue en présence d’enfants (2.). Surveiller les
enfants et s'assurer qu’ils ne puissent pas jouer avec l’appareil.
■Ne pas mettre l'appareil en marche directement sur ou à côté d'objets sensibles
à la chaleur (3.).
■Ne posez jamais de serviette ou d'objet semblable sur l'appareil (danger d'in-
cendie!) (4.). Ne touchez jamais les surfaces chauffées de l'appareil (5.).
■L'appareil ne doit être utilisé qu'avec une prise de courant mise à la terre
(230 V / 50 Hz) et fusible de 10 A (6.)
■Ne tirez jamais sur le cordon, mais sur la fiche.
■
Ne plongez jamais l'appareil dans l'eau pour le nettoyer (danger de court-cir-
cuit!) (7.). L’appareil ne doit jamais être lavé dans le lave-vaisselle (danger de
court-circuit!).Respecter les consignes de nettoyage et d’entretien à la page 19.
■Veillez à ce que la tension réseau locale corresponde bien à celle indiquée sur
la plaquette de l'appareil.
■Installez le cordon et la rallonge de manière à ce que personne ne trébuche.
■Eloignez le cordon et l'appareil de supports ou objets chauds ainsi que des
flammes (8.).
■
Avant le nettoyage, débranchez l'appareil de la prise murale et laissez-le refroidir.
■En cas de dérangement ou de défectuosité, débrancher immédiatement l'ap-
pareil et le faire contrôler et réparer par un spécialiste. Ne jamais tenter de
réparer l’appareil soi-même (9.)! En cas de réparation non conforme, aucune
responsabilité ne sera assumée pour les dommages éventuels.
■Les personnes, enfants compris, qui en raison de leurs capacités psychiques,
sensorielles ou mentales, ou en raison de leur inexpérience ou manque de
connaissances ne sont pas aptes à utiliser cet appareil en toute sécurité, ne
sont pas autorisées à le faire, ou uniquement sous surveillance.

Utilisation
Grâce à son réglage de température en continu, le réchaud électrique AVALON
convient parfaitement pour cuire et tenir au chaud des mets à table, à la cuisine,
au bureau ou à l'atelier. Et, si le raccordement électrique est muni d'un disjoncteur
à courant de défaut, le réchaud électrique AVALON peut également être utilisé sur
la balcon ou dans le jardin. Par exemple pour tenir au chaud des soupes, des
sauces ou des potées, ou encore pour préparer des fondues au fromage, à la
viande ou au poisson ainsi que des plats à la minute. Le caquelon à fondue
ABSOLUTE (art. N° 8730.24 de Stöckli) convient ici particulièrement bien.

Lisez attentivement le mode d'emploi. Les personnes non familiarisées avec ce
dernier ainsi que les enfants ne doivent pas utiliser l'appareil. Utilisation autorisée
uniquement dans le but prévu. Etant donné les dangers encourus, tout usage abu-
sif est strictement interdit.
Avant la mise en service
Placez l'appareil à l'endroit où il sera utilisé. La surface doit être stable, horizontale
et sèche. Installez l'appareil à bonne distance des parois et de tout objet (par ex.
de bougies). Lors de la première utilisation, l'appareil dégage une odeur typique
pour les appareils électriques qui disparaît après quelques minutes. Cette odeur
est absolument normale et n'a aucune, influence sur la qualité du produit.
Mise en service
Branchez l'appareil. Allumez l’appareil en plaçant le régulateur de température en
position 1 ou plus élevée. Nous vous recommandons de chauffer préalablement
l’appareil, au maximum 5 min.
Nettoyage et entretien
Éteignez l'appareil et ôtez la fiche de la prise de courant.Laissez refroidir l'appareil.
Ne plongez jamais l'appareil dans l'eau et ne le lavez pas non plus dans le vaisselle.
Nettoyez l'appareil uniquement avec un chiffon doux et humide.La plaque en fonte
peut être nettoyée au moyen de détergents conventionnels pour plaques de cuis-
son. N'utilisez jamais de produits ou objets de nettoyage agressifs, durs ou abra-
sifs.
Rangement
Gardez l'appareil dans un endroit sec et inaccessible aux enfants.
Elimination
■ Les appareils usagés peuvent être remis au point de vente pour une élimina-
tion correcte et gratuite.
■
Les appareils présentant une défectuosité dangereuse doivent être éliminés
immédiatement et vous devez vous assurer qu'ils ne pourront plus être utilisés.
■ Ne pas éliminer les appareils avec les ordures ménagères (protection de
l'environnement)!

Caution! The appliance becomes hot during use – there is a risk of burning!
■
Never use an appliance which is damaged or has a damaged mains cable (1.).
Do not leave it out of sight when operating and do not carry it while it is hot.
■Use extra vigilance when operating in the presence of children (2.). Keep
children under supervision and make sure they cannot play with the electric
heater.
■Never operate the appliance on or near heat-sensitive objects (3.).
■Do not cover the appliance with cloths of any sort (fire risk!) (4.). Do not touch
hot surfaces (5.).
■The unit must be used with a grounded power supply (230 V / 50 Hz) featur-
ing a 10 A fuse (6.).
■Always pull on the plug, not the mains cable, when unplugging.
■Do not immerse the appliance in water for cleaning (7.). Also do not put the
appliance in a dishwasher (danger of short-circuit!). Follow the cleaning and
care instructions on page 29.
■Ensure that the local mains supply matches that detailed on the appliance
type label.
■Position the mains cable and any extension cables in a safe manner, so that
nobody can trip over them.
■Keep the mains cable away from hot surfaces or objects and from naked
flames (8.).
■Remove the mains cable from the power supply and let the appliance cool
down before cleaning.
■If the appliance becomes damaged or defective, remove the mains plug
immediately and take it to a professional electrical dealer for checking and
repair. Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself (9.)! The manufacturer
accepts no liability for damages or injuries arising from non-professional
repairs or attempted repair.
■Persons, including children, whose physical, sensory or mental capacities or
inexperience or lack of knowledge render them incapable of safely operating
this appliance, must not use it without supervision or instruction by a respon-
sible person.

Uses
The electric heater AVALON is suitable, thanks to its continuously variable tem-
perature regulator, for both cooking and for keeping food warm at the table, in the
kitchen, in the office and studio. Provided an earth-leakage circuit-breaker is used,
the AVALON can also be used on the balcony or patio. For example, soup, sauces
or casseroles, etc. can be kept warm or cheese, fish or meat fondue or «one-
minute» dishes can be prepared. For this purpose the matching Fondue pot
ABSOLUTE from Stöckli is especially good (Part no. 8730.24).

Read the Operating Instructions through thoroughly. Persons who are not familiar
with the Operating Instructions and also children, should not be permitted to use
the appliance. It should be used only for the purposes for which it is intended and
any use for another purpose could prove dangerous and must be strictly forbidden.
Before putting into use
Place the appliance in the position where it will be used. This should be a surface
that is stable, level, dry. Observe a reasonable distance from walls or other objects.
When first switched on, the appliance may produce an odour due to the new parts
being heated. This is typical of electrically heated equipment and will disappear
after a few minutes. It is an absolutely normal effect and does not detract at all
from the quality of the product.
Putting into use
Plug in the power cord. Switch on the appliance by turning the temperature dial to
1 or higher. We recommend preheating the appliance for no more than five min-
utes.
Care and Cleaning
Switch off and remove the mains plug from the socket.Allow the appliance to cool
down. Never immerse the appliance in water or place in a dishwasher. It should be
cleaned only with a soft, moist cloth except the hot plate which may be cleaned
with a proprietary hob cleaner. Never use aggressive, abrasive, hard or sharp sub-
stances or tools for cleaning.
Storage
Store your appliance in a dry location, out of the reach of children.
Disposal
■ Obsolete appliances may be returned to the point of purchase for free expert
disposal.
■ Dispose of units with dangerous defects immediately so that they can no
longer be used.
■ Do not dispose of unit with your normal household rubbish (to protect the
environment)!
