1.0 Scope
This procedure defines the method required to test:

4.0 Process Description
4.1 The Oxygen needs to be in the “like new” state: all buttons released,
in the up position, all knobs turned to the left, and the product turned
OFF.
4.2 The Oxygen is OFF.
4.3 The computer is ON.
4.4 Connect the Oxygen to the computer with a USB cable.
4.5 Press and hold the –and +buttons beneath the LCD screen while
powering on the unit to reset the Oxygen 8 v2 ( press and hold the
Up & Down keys on Oxygen 8).
4.6 Launch the MIDI OX program on the computer.
4.7 In the top Menu bar, select OPTIONS – MIDI Devices.

4.8 In MIDI Devices – in the MIDI Inputs field, select 1) USB Oxygen 8
v2 In.
4.9 In the MIDI Outputs field, select 2) Microsoft GS Wavetable SW
Synth.
4.10 In the Port Mapping field, it should display Microsoft GS Wavetable
SW Synth.
4.11 Click OK.
4.12 Test each key on the keyboard with multiple taps. Check for sound
and corresponding data output in MIDI OX on the computer.
4.13 Test the Modulation wheel: hold down a key and simultaneously turn
the wheel. The sound should modulate. Check for data output in MIDI
OX.
4.14 Test the Pitch Bend wheel: hold down a key and simultaneously turn
the wheel. The sound should vary in pitch. Check for data output in
MIDI OX.
4.15 Test the Transpose/Octave button: tap a key simultaneously with
button to hear the note ascend and descend in its. Check for data
output in MIDI OX.

4.16 Test knobs C1 – C8 for response in MIDI OX.
4.17 Test function keys below the knobs – check for response in MIDI OX.
4.18 Test each button below the LCD screen – check for a response in the
LCD screen display.
4.19 Connect the Oxygen MIDI OUT to the In port on the MIDI sound
module (MidiSport).
4.20 Press any key and look for activity on the MidiSport. The Midi In LED
on the MidiSport should flash as the keys are pressed.
4.21 On the computer, close MIDI OX.
4.22 Unplug the USB cable.
4.23 Turn off the Oxygen keyboard.
