IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE CONNECTING, READ INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the following safety tips and precautions to ensure hazard-free use of the MIGHTY8.
Power requirements
Since power consumption of this unit is fairly high, we recommend the use of an AC adapter whenever possible.
When powering the unit from batteries, use only alkaline batteries.
AC adapter operation
Make sure only the supplied AC adapter is used (9V, 1A and is equipped with a "centre minus" plug).
The use of an adapter other than the specified type may damage the unit and pose a safety hazard.
Connect the AC adapter only to an AC outlet that supplies the rated voltage of the adapter.
When disconnecting the AC adapter from the AC outlet, always grasp the adapter itself and do not pull on the
cable.
During lightning or when the unit is not in use for a long period, disconnect the AC adapter from the AC outlet.
Battery operation
Use six conventional IEC R6 (size AA) batteries (alkaline).
MIGHTY8 cannot be used for recharging.
Pay close attention to the labelling of the battery to make sure you choose the correct type.
When the unit is not in use for an extended period, remove the batteries from the unit.
If battery leakage has occurred, wipe the battery compartment and the battery terminals carefully to
remove all remnants of battery fluid.
While using the unit, the battery compartment cover should be closed.
CAUTIONS
To prevent the risk of fire, electric shock or malfunction, avoid using MIGHTY8 in environments where it will be
exposed to:
Extreme temperatures
Heat sources such as radiators or stoves
High humidity or moisture
Excessive dust or sand
Excessive vibration or shock
Do not allow liquids of any kind to penetrate the unit.
Never place objects filled with liquids, such as vases or glasses on the MIGHTY8 as this can cause
electric shock.
Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, on the MIGHTY8 as this can cause fire.
The MIGHTY8 is a precision instrument. Do not exert undue pressure on the keys and other
controls. Also take care not to drop the unit, and do not subject it to shock or excessive pressure.
Make sure that no foreign objects (coins or pins etc.) or liquids can enter the unit.
Where the mains plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect
device shall remain readily operable.
Alterations
Never open the case of the MIGHTY8 or attempt to modify the product in any way as this can result in damage
to the unit and may void the warranty.

upper-midrange with a fat low end, and its unique crunch tones make it a favourite of blues-rock guitarists.
2. OVERDRIVE
Modelled on the sound of overdriving a tube amplifier - this produces a midrange boost.
3. CRUNCH
Modelled on the British class-A combo amp that creates the sound of the 60's. It produces a clear low midrange
with tight low end sound.
4. CLASSIC
Modelled on the sound and response of a legendary UK classic stack born in the 60's. It's renowned for its tight

5. SUPER LEAD

EQ SECTION
The BASS, MID and HIGH knobs adjust the tonal quality for either channel.
CHORUS/FLANGER/PHASER/TREMOLO
Select the corresponding effect and adjust the amount of effect.
The red indicator above this knob lights up when EFX is turned on, and goes out when EFX is turned off.
Note: Markings for CHORUS, FLANGER, PHASER AND TREMOLO on a panel are for reference. Be sure to check
the sound as you adjust the effects.
CHORUS
Chorus adds a short delay to your signal. The delayed signal is modulated in and out of tune and then mixed with
the original signal to create a thicker sound.
FLANGER
Flanger uses the same principle as a Chorus but uses a shorter delay time and adds regeneration (or repeats) to
the modulating delay. This results in an exaggerated up and down sweeping motion effect.
PHASER
Phaser splits the incoming signal, and then changes the phasing of the signal. This signal is then taken in and out
of phase and mixed back in with the original signal. As the phasing changes, different frequencies get cancelled
resulting in a warm sort of twisting sound.
TREMOLO
Tremolo is basically a change of the signal level controlled by an LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator).
DELAY/REVERB
Turn DELAY or REVERB knob to switch on that effect. Turn the knob to adjust the amount of effect.
Note: Markings for ECHO, DELAY and REVERB on a panel are for reference. Make sure to check the sound as you
adjust the effects.
DELAY
Delay is an effect that records a portion of the incoming signal, and then plays it back some time later. The
recording can repeat just once or several times.
REVERB
Turn the knob to adjust the reverb level.
