Descrizione prodotto
Il modulo RFM-TXE è un dispositivo che consente di convertire gli impulsi ricevuti in
ingresso in un segnale Wireless MBUS. E’ dotato di due ingressi, dunque è possibile
collegare simultaneamente fino a due contatori lanciaimpulsi.
Il dispositivo deve essere configurato tramite il software di configurazione B METERING.
Questo permette di impostare il tempo di utilizzo, le diverse opzioni di funzionamento
e consente di creare liste di dispositivi. Si rimanda al manuale del software per una
descrizione dettagliata delle funzioni e delle opzioni di configurazione disponibili.
Il modulo può essere collegato ad un contatore dotato di uscita impulsiva, di qualsiasi
marca, calibro e versione.

* Le batterie sono sostituibili, i ricambi sono forniti da B METERS, NON SOSTITUIRE con tipi errati. La
disconnessione della batteria dalla scheda causa la perdita della configurazione, sarà necessario
riconfigurare il dispositivo.
** La vita della batteria dipende dalle impostazioni relative alla finestra temporale di utilizzo in fase di
configurazione e dalle condizioni ambientali. Una stima della vita della batteria viene fornita dal
software.
*** in condizioni di propagazione ottimali, i valori della portata dipendono dalle condizioni fisiche
(costruzione edificio, situazione climatica,…) nelle quali si propaga il segnale radio possono quindi
variare.
Installazione
L’installazione è prevista a muro, tramite fissaggio con viti sui due fori laterali. Si
consiglia di fissare il modulo RFM-TXE lontano da masse metalliche o da qualsiasi
potenziale schermatura radio.
Per aprire il contenitore, svitare le quattro viti ai vertici del coperchio e sollevarlo
delicatamente.
Collegamenti
Inserire i cavi dei dispositivi lanciaimpulsi all’interno dei due passa cavi disponibili come
indicato in figura: Input1 e Input2
Input 1: Connettere i fili per il conteggio degli impulsi ai morsetti A e B indicati in figura.
I morsetti C e D sono riservati a contatori muniti di opzione antifrode.
Input 2: Connettere i fili per il conteggio degli impulsi ai morsetti E e F come indicato in
figura. I morsetti G e H sono riservati a contatori muniti di opzione antifrode.
Tipologia dei contatti
Morsetti di conteggio: A, B per contatore n.1 e E, F per contatore n.2. E’ necessario
collegare un dispositivo lancia impulsi con contatto NO (normalmente aperto), il quale
si chiude all’invio dell’impulso.
Morsetti opzione antifrode: C, D per contatore n.1 e G, H per contatore n.2. E’
necessario collegare un dispositivo con contatto antifrode NC (normalmente chiuso)
riportando il livello di tensione di massa ai morsetti C (contatore n.1) e G (contatore
n.2). Alla mancanza del segnale di massa portato a questi morsetti (il contatto si è
aperto) il modulo segnala l’allarme frode. Vedere scheda “Connessioni tipiche lancia
impulsi modulo TXE” per maggiori dettagli.
Configurare il modulo tramite l’uso del ricevitore RFM-RX2 e del software B Metering.
Per l’inizializzazione quindi passare un magnete sopra l’interruttore tipo reed indicato
dalla freccia in figura (oppure premere il pulsante accanto).
Mantenendo chiuso l’interruttore per un breve periodo si attiverà la configurazione
dell’input 1 (morsetti A,B,C,D) mentre una chiusura dell’interruttore prolungata
attiverà la configurazione dell’input 2 (morsetti E,F,G,H).
Durante la fase di configurazione il LED rosso lampeggerà. Per le istruzioni di
configurazione si rimanda alla documentazione del software.
Una volta conclusa la configurazione, richiudere il modulo radio con le relative viti.
Per evitare potenziali manomissioni del modulo, è possibile applicare tra bordo calotta
e bordo modulo l’etichetta di sicurezza auto distruttibile inclusa nella confezione.
Precauzioni di sicurezza
Durante il processo di installazione, maneggiare il dispositivo con cura, non
schiacciare, non esporre a cariche elettrostatiche che potrebbero danneggiare
irrimediabilmente il dispositivo, non installare vicino a sorgenti di calore (come
radiatori, condizionatori, convettori ecc..).
Il dispositivo non contiene materiale pericoloso, in conformità alle direttive
europee 91/157/EEC, 93/86/EEC e 2002/95/EC (RoHS). Alla fine del ciclo di vita del
dispositivo, è necessario smaltire il prodotto come specificato nella direttiva RAEE
2012/19/UE per i paesi dell’Unione, o comunque sempre in ottemperanza delle
leggi e norme locali. Non bruciare, non sottoporre ad alte temperature.
Il modulo RFM-TXE funziona in modo affidabile nelle condizioni ambientali
specificate in questo manuale. Eventuali interventi non autorizzati e/o
cambiamenti di uso e funzionamento possono provocare malfunzionamenti o il
danneggiamento del prodotto.
Garanzia
Il periodo di garanzia è posto a 24 (ventiquattro) mesi dalla data di spedizione del
materiale. Tale garanzia è limitata a vizi di progettazione, materiali e lavorazione
evidenziatisi in condizioni di normale utilizzo e manutenzione. Questa garanzia è valida
ed eseguibile nel paese in cui è stato acquistato il prodotto. Nel caso dell'Unione
Europea, la garanzia è valida per tutti i paesi della Comunità.
Per ottenere il servizio di garanzia, è richiesto di rispettare le seguenti clausole:
1. I prodotti devono essere consegnati per la riparazione a spese del Cliente.
2. La garanzia del prodotto sarà soggetta alla mostra di un documento fiscale
(fattura di vendita), che attesta la data di acquisto del prodotto.
3. La riparazione non influisce sulla data originale della scadenza della garanzia e
non comporta il rinnovo o la proroga.
4. Se al momento della riparazione il prodotto non presenta alcun difetto, verrà
addebitato il costo dell'analisi tecnica.
5. La garanzia è nulla se il guasto è dovuto a: impatti, cadute, abuso del prodotto,
utilizzo di batterie non originali, incidenti, alterazioni del prodotto, sostituzione /
distacco delle guarnizioni e / o manomissioni del prodotto. Allo stesso modo, non
vi è copertura anche per i danni causati durante il trasporto se le confezioni
utilizzate non sono idonee.
6. La garanzia non copre la batteria del prodotto.
7. La garanzia non copre l'incapacità di utilizzare il prodotto, altrimenti causano
danni accidentali o consequenziali o altre spese sostenute dall'acquirente.
8. La garanzia non copre eventuali danni causati da un utilizzo diverso da quello
indicato nel presente manuale.

Pulse to WMBUS 868 MHz converter module
Product description
The RFM-TXE module is a device that allows to convert the incoming input pulses into
a Wireless MBUS signal. It is equipped with two inputs, so it is possible to
simultaneously connect up to two pulse emitter devices.
The device must be configured by using the B METERING configuration software. This
allows to set the working time, all the other working options and it allows to create
devices lists. Please refer to the configuration software manual for a detailed
description of the configuration features and options available.
The module can be connected to any meter equipped with pulse output, regardless the
brand, caliber and version.

* Batteries are replaceable, spare batteries are supplied by B METERS, DO NOT REPLEACE the battery
with wrong types. Disconnecting all the battery from the board will cause the configuration lost, it will
need to reconfigure the device.
** The battery life strongly depends on the working time window, set during the configuration process,
and on the environmental conditions. Estimation of the battery life is given by the configuration
software.
*** Under optimal propagation conditions, the radio range depends on physical conditions (building
constructions, climatic conditions, …) where propagation of the radio signal can therefore vary.
Installation
The module should be mounted on the wall, with screws. It is recommended to fix the
RFM-TXE in away from metal masses or any potential radio shielding.
To open the device, remove the four screws on the edges of the cover and lift it
carefully.
Connections
Plug the cables of pulse output devices passing through the two rubber cable-glands
available, marked as Input 1 and Input 2 in the picture above.
Input 1: Connect the wires of the pulse output to the A and B terminals as shown in the
picture. C and D terminals are dedicated for the pulse devices with anti-fraud output.
Input 2: Connect the wires of the pulse output to the E and F terminals as indicated in
the picture. G and H terminals are dedicated for the pulse devices with anti-fraud
output.
Contacts type
Counting contacts: A, B for meter n.1 and E, F for meter 2: it is necessary to connect a
pulse output device with a normally open (N.O.) contact, which closes when a pulse
occurs.
Anti-fraud contacts: C, D for meter n.1 e G, H for meter n.2: it is necessary to connect a
device with, normally closed (N.C.) anti-fraud contact, connecting the ground voltage
level to the C terminal (meter N°1) and G terminal (meter N°2).
When the ground signal on these terminals is lost (the contact has opened, the fraud
alarm will be triggered. Check the document TXE Typical connections of the pulse
output devices for more information.
Configure the radio module by using the RFM-RX2 receiver and the B METERING
Software. To complete the configuration process, pass a magnet over the reed switch
shown by the arrow in the picture above (or press the button next to it).
By holding the switch closed for a short period (1 second) you will start the
configuration of the input 1 (terminals A,B,C,D) and by holding the switch closed for a
long period (3 seconds), you will activate the configuration of input 2 (terminals
E,F,G,H).
During the configuration process the led will start to blink, which means that the
configuration has been successful. For the complete configuration instructions, please
refer to the software manual.
When the configuration is completed, close the box with the screws.
To avoid any potential tampering of the module, you can place the anti-tampering seal
(supplied together with the module) between the base of the box and the cover.
Safety
During the installation process, handle the device with care, don’t crush, don’t
bent, don’t exposure to electrostatic discharges which could damage permanently
the device, do not install close to heat sources (radiators, conditioners, convectors
etc..).
The RFM-TXE module doesn’t contain hazardous materials in accordance with
European directives 91/157/EEC, 93/86/EEC, and 2002/95/EC(RoHS). The device
requires specific disposal on the end of its lifetime. Recycling is mandatory or
recommended following the Directive RAEE 2012/19/UE inside European Union
region, or anyway dispose in accordance with local laws and regulations. Do not
burn, or undergo to high temperatures.
The RFM-TXE works reliably in the environmental conditions specified in this
manual. Any unauthorized intervention and/or modification may cause
malfunctions or total damaging of the product.
Warranty
The warranty period is set at 24 (twenty-four) months from the date of the shipping of
the material. Warranty is against defects in materials or workmanship when the
product is properly used and maintained in normal efficiency. This Warranty is valid and
enforceable in the country where the product was purchased. In the event that the
product has been purchased in a country of the European Union, the warranty is still
valid in all countries of the Community.
To obtain warranty service, it is requested to comply with the following clauses:
1. Products must be delivered for repair at the expense of the customer.
2. The product warranty will be subject to the exhibition of a tax document (receipt,
receipt or bill of sale), which attests to the date of purchase of the product.
3. The repair will not affect the original date of expiration of the warranty and will
not involve the renewal or extension thereof.
4. If at the time of the repair, the product has not any defect, it will be charged the
costs of the technical analysis.
5. The warranty is void if the failure was due to: impacts, falls, misuse or abuse of
the product, use of non-original batteries, accidents, product alteration,
replacement/detachment of seals and/or product tampering. The same also
does not cover damage caused during transport if packages used are unsuitable.
6. The warranty is not covering the battery of the product.
7. The warranty does not cover the inability to use the product, other costs
incidental or consequential damages or other expenses incurred by the
purchaser.
8. The warranty doesn’t cover damage to the product caused by usage in any other
way than described in this manual.
