• Careful adult supervision is required when this appliance

• This appliance should not be used, cleaned or maintained
by children. Keep out of reach of children.
• Always ensure that this appliance is kept out of the reach
of children at all times, particularly during use and whilst
cooling.
• Allow the appliance to cool before storing away.

The BaBylissMEN Precision Beard Trimmer is compact and easy to
use. Detachable diamond sharpened stainless steel blades for extreme
sharpness and precision, with a 5-position comb guide (3-15mm) and
3 jawline blending combs (1.5, 2.5 & 3.5mm) for a variety of trimming
lengths. Complete with a convenient storage stand and accessories.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Preparation For Use
• Prior to initial use, test the trimmer on a small area of arm or leg hair.
If any signs of allergic reaction or sensitivity occur, discontinue use.
Do not use on very sensitive or irritated skin.
• Always inspect the appliance before use for noticeable signs of
damage. Do not use if damaged.
• Ensure the trimmer head is free from hair and debris (refer to the
Cleaning & Maintenance section for further information).

Inserting the Batteries
The trimmer requires 2 x AA batteries. To insert or replace the batteries,
remove the battery compartment cover by rmly pushing down on the
casing. Insert the batteries as indicated on the inside of the battery
compartment. Replace the casing by sliding it back into the main
trimmer unit until it clicks into place. If the appliance remains unused
for a while or if the batteries have run down, remove them from the
appliance.
COMB GUIDES
5-Position Comb Guide:
To attach the comb guide
• Ensure the appliance is switched off.
• Position the grooves on the inner sides of the
comb guide over the corresponding notches on
either side of the cutting head.
• Slide the comb guide downwards over the cutters
until it will go no further.
To adjust the comb guide
• The marking on the handle should be aligned with the desired grade
number indicated on the comb guide.
Grade 1 - 3mm
Grade 2 - 6mm
Grade 3 - 9mm
Grade 4 - 12mm
Grade 5 - 15mm
• Push the rear of the comb guide upwards with your thumb until it
clicks into position, and the marking on the handle is aligned with the
required grade number on the comb guide.
• Use the longest setting at rst, until you become familiar with the
adjustment. If you want a shorter cut, you can adjust the comb to
a shorter position and go over the hair again until you achieve the
desired length.

To remove the comb guide
• Switch the appliance off.
• Push the base of the comb guide upwards until it comes away from
the cutting head.
Jawline Blending Combs:
To attach a jawline blending comb
• The combs come in 3 different length settings,
I = 1.5mm, II = 2.5mm & III = 3.5mm.
• Slide the comb over the trimmer head, pull down
over the rear of the head and click into position.
To remove a jawline blending comb
• Ensure the appliance is switched off.
• To remove the comb guide, lift the rear of the
guide upwards and away from the trimmer head.
TRIMMING
To Trim the Beard:
Using the 5-position comb guide
• Attach the 5-position comb guide and select the required length (3-
15mm).
• If you require more than one cutting length, start with the longest
length rst.
• Switch the trimmer on.
• Hold the trimmer with the teeth of the trimmer pointing upwards, yet
at against the skin.
• Move the trimmer upwards and outward through the hair, against the
direction of hair growth.
• The trimmer will work most efciently when cutting through hair at
its own speed.
• Never switch the appliance off whilst in the hair.
Note: The Trimmer can be used without the comb guide and will cut
roughly to a length of 1mm.
Using a jawline blending comb
• Attach one of the three blending combs (I = 1.5mm, II = 2.5mm &
III = 3.5mm).

• If you require more than one cutting length, start with the longest
length rst (3.5mm).
• Switch the trimmer on.
• Hold the trimmer with the teeth of the trimmer pointing upwards, yet
at against the skin.
• Move the trimmer upwards and outward through the hair you wish
to blend.
• To blend-in a shorter length use a smaller comb and use in the same
way as above.
• The trimmer will work most efciently when cutting through hair at its
own speed.
• Never switch the appliance off whilst in the hair.
Note: The Trimmer can be used without any comb guides and will cut
roughly to a length of 1mm.
To Trim the Moustache:
Using the 5-position comb guide
• Attach the comb guide and select the grade required.
• Switch the appliance on.
• Hold the trimmer against the moustache; the teeth of the trimmer
guide pointing upwards yet at against the face.
• Move the trimmer upwards through the moustache, a little at a time,
against the direction of hair growth.
• Once the moustache is trimmed to the desired length, remove the
trimmer guide.
• Dene the outline of the bottom of the moustache.

To Outline using the Trimmer:
• Do not attach a comb guide.
• Hold the trimmer upside down with the blade facing downwards, yet
at against the skin.
• Move the trimmer gently downwards in small strokes around the
edge of the area you wish to outline.
• Having dened the outline, hold the trimmer with the blades pointing
upwards, yet at against the skin and move the trimmer upwards
against the direction of hair growth. This will trim the unwanted hair
adjacent to the outline.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
To maintain optimum performance, the appliance should be cleaned
after each use:
• Remove the comb guides after use. Rinse the comb guides under
running water and dry thoroughly before storage or use.
• The cutting head of the trimmer is detachable for easy cleaning.
Hold the trimmer pointing away from you with the cutters pointing
upwards. Position your thumb underneath the cutter and push
upwards to take the cutting head off.
• Using the cleaning brush remove any remaining hair from the trimmer
blades.
• To replace the cutting head, align the lug on the rear of the head with
the corresponding groove on the back of the trimmer, and snap down
into place.
• When used regularly the clipper blades will not need to be oiled.
However, if the appliance has not been used for a prolonged period
of time it is advised to oil the blades before use. After cleaning,
switch the appliance on and oil the blades using a few drops of the
lubricating oil supplied. Only use the lubricating oil supplied with the
appliance as this is specically formulated and does not evaporate
or slow the blades.

SAFE DISPOSAL
To minimise hazards to health and the environment at the end of this
product’s life, laws dealing with Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE) and The Waste Battery Directive require you to dispose of these
products and their batteries at a suitable collection facility where they will
be sent for appropriate recycling. Please contact your local authorities for
more details on recycling and safe disposal of these in your area.

This BaBylissMEN appliance is guaranteed for consumer use for 3
years and is only valid within the United Kingdom.
This guarantee covers consumer use only i.e. defects occurring under
normal use within the home from date of purchase or date of delivery,
whichever is later.
If the product develops a fault due to defects in materials or manufacture
within 12 months from the date of purchase, to avoid delays and
unnecessary inconvenience, where possible please return the product
to the point of purchase for an exchange,
If the product develops a fault due to defects in materials or manufacture
after 12 months from the date of purchase, and within the guarantee
period, Conair UK After Sales Service will repair or replace the product.
Exclusions
This guarantee will no longer be valid meaning that The Conair Group
Ltd will not be liable to repair or replace your product where:

1.) The appliance has been used on a voltage supply other than that
which is marked on the product, or advised within this instruction
booklet
2.) The appliance has been purchased from an unauthorised stockist*
3.) The appliance is used for professional / non domestic usage
4.) Repairs or alterations have been attempted by unauthorised persons
5.) The failure of the appliance is a direct result of misuse
6.) The failure is a result of not following the instructions for use
This guarantee does not cover any cosmetic damage due to misuse
of the product nor any damage to persons or property that occurs
because of product misuse.
