Line p yo r phone with Backbone’s left side Align the Lightning port, snap yo r phone in,
download the Backbone app, and play
Grab the right handle and extend it
1. Choose a sign in method
Create a backbone acco nt sing an existing Apple ID or
Google acco nt. All yo need to do is choose which acco nt
type and sign in.
2. Verify your phone number
Enter a valid phone n mber to receive a verication code. Once
yo inp t the verication code into the app, yo r phone n mber will
be veried.
3. Create your prole
Choose an emoji / memoji to se as yo r prole pict re and set a
sername. This is how yo ’ll appear to other people on Backbone
and can be changed later in settings.

Perm ss ons are opt onal, but make the Backbone exper ence better

5. Learn how the capture button works

button does and how to use t.

6. Learn about what you can play
You’ll be walked through what you can play. Phone games, remote
play serv ces (PS Remote Play, Xbox Remote Play, Steam L nk), and
cloud gam ng serv ces (Xbox Cloud Gam ng, Google Stad a, Nv d a
GeForce Now, etc.) work w th Backbone.
7. Claim the included 365 days of Backbone+
A free year of the serv ce s ncluded w th every purchase. To cla m
the free 365 days, payment nfo needs to be added. You won’t be
charged unt l the 365 day per od ends and can cancel t any t me.
In-app purchases also need to be enabled n OS sett ngs n order to
cla m the free 365 days.
8 . J ump in
After press ng the orange Backbone button, you’ll go to the
Backbone home screen where you can launch games, connect w th
fr ends, watch h ghl ghts and more.

How to add a game to Backbone
The Backbone app will try to detect and add supported games rom
your iPhone. I any are missed, here’s how to manually add them or
easy access.
 Launch the game rom your iOS home screen
 Press the orange Backbone button on the controller to go to the
Backbone app
 I the game is compatible, it will be added or quick and easy
access to the Backbone app home screen.
Play almost any game anywhere
On iOS, only remote play apps can be launched rom the app. Cloud
gaming services will have to be launched manually with a browser.
For cloud gaming services
 On the Backbone app home screen, scroll to the “Getting
started” section
 Find and select the service you want to connect
 Follow the on-screen instructions to start playing.
For Steam Link
 Open the Steam Link ap
 Allow all Bluetooth connection prompt
 Connect the Backbone to your phon
 Map the Backbone buttons by pressing the button shown
on scree
 Select “Other Computer
 Pair your computer to the app
For PS R emote Play
 Open the remote play ap
 Log in with your PlayStation accoun 
 Allow the app to connect to devices on your local networ 
 Select the console you want to connect to and ollow the on
screen instructions
For X bo x R emote Play
 Open the X bo x ap
 Go to the Library tab and select “Consoles
 Select “Connect” beneath the console you want to connect to
