Forsafeoperation ensuretheGas ValveAssem-
blyOrificeisinsidetheBurnerTubebeforeusing
yoursideburner. See figure.IftheOrificeisnot
insidetheBurnerTube,lighting theBurnermay
cause explosion and/orfireresulting inserious
bodilyinjuryand/orpropertydamage.
METHOD 1:Bend astiff wireorwirecoathanger
intoasmall hook as shownand run thehook
through theBurnerTubeand insidetheBurner
severaltimes toremovedebris.
METHOD 2:Use abottlebrushwithaflexible
handleand run thebrushthrough theBurner
Tube and insidetheBurnerseveraltimesto
removeanydebris.
METHOD 3:Use anairhose toforceairthrough
each BurnerTube.Theforcedairshouldpass
debrisorobstructionsthrough theBurnerand out
thePorts.

activeinyourarea,and ifyoursideburnerhas not
beenusedforanextendedperiod oftime.
Removethe screwsfromthesideburnerbodyandthe
rearofeachBurnerusing aPhillips HeadScrewdriver.

and hose aredamagedinanyway,theymustbe
replaced priortousingthe sideburneragain.
Anyattempttoconvertyourside burnerfromonefueltype
toanotherisextremelyhazardousandwillvoidthe
warranty.
Never lightyourgassideburnerwiththe lidclosed
orbeforecheckingtoensuretheburnersarefully
seated overthe gasvalve orifices.
The LPGastankmustbe constructedandmarked
inaccordance withtheSpecifications forLP-Gas
CylindersoftheU.S.DepartmentofTransportation
(D.O.T.)orthe NationalStandardofCanada,CAN/
CSA-B339,Cylinders,SpheresandTubesforTrans-
portationofDangerousGoods;andCommission,as
applicable.
The LPGastankmusthaveashutoffvalve,termi-
natinginan LPGassupplytankvalve outlet,thatis
compatiblewithaType1tankconnectiondevice.The
LPGastankmustalsohaveasafetyreliefdevice
thathasadirectconnectionwiththe vaporspace of
thetank.
The tanksupplysystemmustbe arranged forvapor
withdrawal.
The LPGastankmusthaveacollartoprotectthe
tankvalve.

Cleaning ExteriorStainless SteelSurfaces:
Routine careandmaintenanceisrequired topreserve
theappearanceandcorrosion resistanceofstainless
steel.Thefactisstainlesssteelcancorrode,rustand
discolorundercertainconditions.Rustiscausedwhen
regularsteelparticles intheatmospherebecomeat-
tachedtothestainlesssteelsurface.Steelparticles can
also becomeattached toyoursideburnerif youusesteel
woolorstiffwirebrushestoclean theside burnerinstead
ofnon-abrasivecloth,spongeornyloncleaningtools.In
coastalareasrustpitscan developonstainlesssurfaces
thatcannotbefullyremoved.Bleachand otherchlorine
basedsolutionsusedforhouseholdandpoolcleaning
can alsocause corrosion tostainless steel. Weathering,
extremeheat,smokefromcookingandmachineoilsused
inthemanufacturingprocessofstainlesssteelcan cause
stainlesssteeltoturntanincolor. Althoughtherearemany
