1. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
WARNING:Before starting the installation procedure, switch off the Solaris LC40 and unplug from the wall
outlet.
1.1 Removing the actual module or dummy
How to remove
1. Turn out the fixing screw holding the actual installed module or the dummy cover. (image 1-1)
2. Slide out the actual installed module or take away the dummy cover.

1.2 Inserting a new module
How to insert
1. Slide the module into the slot. Insure the module is seated correctly in the guide grooves.
2. Press on the handle of the input module until the module plug seats in the connector of the Solaris LC40.
3. Secure the input module by turning in the removed screw.
4. Reconnect to the wall outlet and start up the Solaris LC40.

This input slot is NOT hot-pluggable. Make sure the system is switched off before inserting or removing an
input module!

How to configure the input 2
1. Press on the thumb wheel or press ENTER on the RCU to activate the menus.
The main menu will be displayed on the screen. (menu 1-1)
2. Turn the thumb wheel or use the up or down arrow keys to select Input Selection.
The input selection menu will be displayed. (menu 1-2)
3. Turn the thumb wheel or use the up or down arrow keys to select Configure input 2.
The configuration window will be displayed. (menu 1-3)
4. Turn the thumb wheel or use the up or down arrow keys to select the corresponding input.

How to select an input via the RCU
1. For video : press 1on the RCU.
For Component/RGB input : press 2on the RCU.
For S-Video : press 3on the RCU.
How to select an input via the menu structure
1. Press on the thumb wheel or press ENTER on the RCU to activate the menus.
The main menu will be displayed on the screen. (menu 1-4)
2. Turn the thumb wheel or use the up or down arrow keys to select Input selection.
The input selection menu will be displayed. (menu 1-5)
3. Turn the thumb wheel or use the up or down arrow keys to select the corresponding input (Video or S-Video or Component).
4. Press the thumb wheel or press ENTER on the RCU.

Loop through connection for Video
The composite video input (Vin) is connected in loop through with the Vout. This signal can be used to connect to the next device.
