GENERAL USER MANUAL CERA-1 VENTILATION SYSTEM
This user manual describes the operation of the CERA-1 ventilation system in this home. The system ensures the supply of enough fresh air in the home and therefore helps create a healthy living
climate. It is not possible to control the temperature of the home with this system. If you have any queries regarding this system, please contact the designated maintenance company for your property
or the affi liated Owners’ Association.
The CERA ventilation system consits of the following components:
1) CERA unit, mounted in central heating room / storage room
2) Air quality sensor (CO
2
), mounted in the living room / kitchen
3) Switch with LED indicator, mounted in the living room / kitchen / bathroom / bedroom
4) CERA unit plug
In this ventilation mode, the CERA-1 ventilation system monitors and controls the required fresh air volume.
In Normal Operation, the system works automatically by itself and it does not need any further action from the user.
In this ventilation mode, the CERA-1 can send an increased volume of fresh air temporarily to your home as per the following options:
Situation 1: additional fresh air required while cooking and/or using the kitchen hood
- Press the switch (in the living room / kitchen) and hold down briefl y; the LED indicator on the switch will light up continuously.
- After pressing the switch, the ventilation system will run in Increased Mode for 60 minutes.
- After the 60 minutes have elapsed, the system will return automatically to Normal Operation; the LED indicator on the switch will be off .
Situation 2: additional fresh air required using the bathroom
- Press the switch (in the bathroom / bedroom) and hold down briefl y; the LED indicator on the switch will light up continuously.
- After pressing the switch, the ventilation system will run in Increased Mode for 30 minutes.
- After the 30 minutes have elapsed, the system will return automatically to Normal Operation; the LED indicator on the switch will be off .
Returning sooner to Normal Operation during Increased Mode:
If you wish to return to Normal Operation from Increased Mode, then the relevant switch can be pushed briefl y and the LED indicator will be off .
At night, we recommend switching the system to Night Mode. In this mode, enough fresh air will be supplied to your home to guarantee a healthy air quality during nighttime.
The Night Mode can be selected at any time (i.e. both during Normal Operation and in Increased Mode).
- Press one of the switches in the home and hold down for 3-4 seconds; after releasing, the LED indicator on the switch will fl ash slowly.
- After pressing the switch, the ventilation system will run in Night Mode for 13 hours.
- After the 13 hours have elapsed, the system will return automatically to Normal Operation; the LED indicator on the switch will be off .
Returning sooner to Normal Operation during Night Mode:
If you wish to return to Normal Operation from Night Mode, then any of the switches can be pushed for 3-4 seconds and the LED indicator will be off .
Alerts given by LED indicators
The CERA-1 ventilation system will warn the user of any malfunctions within it. If a fault is detected, the LED indicators on the switches will fl ash rapidly.
If this situation occurs, please contact the designated maintenance company for your property or the affi liated Owners’ Association.

- The CERA-1 ventilation system is connected to a central system, which balances the supply air to and the extract air from the home in a controlled way.
The system is designed to run constantly and therefore the plug (4) may not be removed from the power socket (this could disturb the operation of the system).
- When the system is in Increased Mode, you may notice increased noise levels caused by the additional air fl owing through the ducts. This has no further impact on the operation
of the CERA-1 system.
- The CERA unit is fi tted with a seal; only a qualifi ed installation engineer

may break or fi t the seal. If no seal has been fi tted, please contact the designated maintenance company
for your property or the affi liated Owners’ Association.
- Orange seal: factory fi tting; CERA unit ready for installation.
- Green seal: after commissioning; CERA unit ready for operation.
- Blue seal: after service/maintenance; maintenance work has been carried out tot he CERA unit.
- The user must at all times ensure that

the unit remains accessible and moisture-free and
2)
the fl exible hoses and cables remain undamaged and are not trapped.
- The CERA unit and/or its components must be kept free from any obsticals (we recommend keeping at least 15 cm of clear space around the system).
- These safety regulations must be observed by the user to avoid personal injury and/or damage to the CERA-1 ventilation system.
- Do not use the product for purposes other than the one for which it is intended, as specifi ed in this manual (third-party modifi cations to the product are not permitted).
- The CERA-1 ventilation system may not be connected to a kitchen hood, nor may it be used as an extractor for kettles, etc.
- Do not allow children to play with the product and/or system.
- Always handle electrical equipment with care: never touch the device with wet hands or when barefoot.
- Avoid using fl ammable or volatile substances such as alcohol, insecticides, petrol, etc in the vicinity of the product.
- Cleaning and maintenance may only be carried out by authorised third parties and only after the device has been disconnected from the power source.
- Servicing/maintenance of the CERA-1 ventilation system may only be performed by qualifi ed installation engineers

in accordance with the applicable regulations.
- Always make sure that the power system to which the product is connected meets the specifi ed conditions. The product may only be connected to 230 V 50 Hz AC mains power;
make sure not to damage the electrical circuit.
- Keep the valves and/or diff users that are connected to the CERA-1 ventilation system free of obstacles and dirt - valve settings may not be altered.
