Metallic distribution boxes fo
r intrinsically safe
facilities do not have to be attached to an
equipotential bonding system, except if it is
required by equipment documentation.
Installation

facturer’s approval is obtai ed first.
 The IEC/EN60079-14 must be observed.

Commissioning
Before commissio i g, check that:

• The device is ot damaged.

• The cables have bee laid correctly.
• All screws have bee tighte ed securely.
• The device fu ctio s perfectly.
Note
Electrical equipments, before putting into
operation, and at certain time intervals, are to
be subjected and to examination by an electri-
cal expert.

Fault clearance
The distributio box is defective if the e capsu-
latio is damaged a d/or if o e of the compo-
e ts does ot fu ctio a y lo ger.
I this case:
• Replace defective parts i the e capsula-
tio with origi al parts immediately.
• Replace or repair the defective compo-
e ts with origi al parts.
