Propane vapors are heavier than air and can accumulate in low places. If you smell gas, leave the
area immediately.
NEVER install or remove propane cylinder while re pit is lighted, near ame, pilot lights, other ignition
sources or while re pit is hot to touch.
Store the propane cylinder outdoors in a well ventilated space out of reach of children. Never store the

This product is fueled by propane gas. Propane gas is invisible, odorless, and ammable. An odorant is
normally added to help detect leaks and can be described as a “rotten egg” smell. The odorant can
fade over time so leaking gas is not always detectable by smell alone.
Propane gas is heavier than air and leaking propane will sink to the lowest level possible. It can ignite by
ignition sources including matches, lighters, sparks or open ames of any kind many feet away from the
original leak. Use only propane gas set up for vapor withdrawal.
Store or use propane gas in compliance with local ordinances and codes or with ANSI/NFPA 58. Turn off
propane when not in use.
LP GAS WARNING: DO NOT exceed 1/4” depth of lava rocks directly above burner holes. Applying too
much media may result in unburned gas pooling in the rebowl. Ventilation is required to allow fresh air
into the enclosure and for any residual gas to escape.
The re pit should be inspected before use and annually by a qualied service person. More frequent
cleaning may be required as necessary. It is imperative that the control compartment, burners, and
circulating air passageway of the appliance be kept clean.
Lava rocks can hit someone in the face or eyes during the initial start of this unit. Keep away from the
rebowl for the rst 20 minutes after it has been ignited.
The max inlet supply pressure: Max gas supply 11”s.c. (2.74kPa)

The LP gas supply tank must be construxted and marked in accordance with the specications for LP
gas tanks of the US Department of Transportation (DOT) or the National Standard of Canada CAN/
CSA-B339, LP gas tanks spheres and tubes for the Transportation of Dangerous Goods; and commission
The LP gas tank must have a listed overlling prevention devise (OPD) and a QCCI or Type I, (CGA810)
LP gas tank connection.
DO NOT enlarge valve orices or burner ports when cleaning the valve or burner.
Clean the battery contacts prior to battery installation.
NEVER use charcoal or any other solid fuel in the rebowl.
If you see, smell or heat the hiss of escaping gas from the propane gas tank: 1. Disconnect propane
gas tank. 2. DO NOT attempt to correct the problem yourself. 3. Get to your gas supplier and/or the re
department for help.
NEVER use a ame to check for gas leaks.
DO NOT use this re table for cooking.

back to the battery case tightly. (IV) Evently distribute the pumice stones on the top of the rebowl.
DO NOT COVER THE IGNITION SCREEN when
placing the pumice stones into the re table.
Always keep Ignition Screen visible. Connect
the Pressure-Regulating Valve to the gas tank.
1) Turn the cylinder valve clockwise to close the
gas supply on the gas tank. 2) Screw Regulator
coupling clockwise by hand only. Make sure it is
fastened.
WARNING: This screen must be clear and free of obstructions at all times to insure proper operation.
WARNING: The burner of the rebowl must be
covered by lava rocks completely. Otherwise the
ame may extinguish. Make sure lava rock pacement
is even and not built up in corners.
Perform leak test in a well-ventilated area outside and where no source of spark can occur. Remove battery
from igniter. Open tank valve fully (counter-clockwise). Turn the on/off valve at the unit to the “OFF” position
to pressurize the hose assembly. Use a soapy water solution to check all the connections for leaks before
attempting to light the appliance. If a leak is found, turn the tank valve off and do not use the appliance
until repairs can be made.
