DANGER! Electric shock hazard!
The device can cause injuries due to improper installation!
Before installation and connecting the local power grid specification should
be compared with that of the device (see rating plate). Connect the device
only in case of compliance!
Connect the device only to properly installed single socket with
protective terminal.
•The electrical circuit in the socket must be secured to at least 16A. Only connect the
device directly to the wall socket; do not use any extension cords or power strips.
5.2 Operation
Preparation of the device
•Remove all equipment elements from the device and completely unwind the
power cable.
•Rotate the temperature controller knob to position „OFF“.
•Due to hygienic reasons clean the device with boiling water before the first use. Fill the
device with approx. 6 litres of water and connect the plug to the earthed socket. Boil
water for approx. 5 minutes with use of highest temperature setting „MAX“.Read
instructions on section „Heating liquids“.
•Then rotate the knob to position „OFF“ and disconnect the device from the socket (pull
the plug!) and wait until it cools down. Then drain water from the tank and rinse it with
clean water, drain it again.
•Clean the device according to instructions in section 6 „Cleaning and descaling“.
Heating liquids
•Drinkable liquids must always be in the container before the device is turned on.
Do not pour undrinkable liquids such as acids, bases, oils, nitrates etc. into the
device!
•The device is equipped with an overheating/dry heating protection function. If the
device is accidentally left on with too little or no water, this function will be activated
and the device will turn off automatically.
Turn the temperature dial to the „OFF“ position, remove the device’s plug from its
socket and wait at least 30 minutes for it to cool. After cooling, refill the tank with fresh
water and resume using the device normally.

- 31 -
•Before pouring liquids into the device, ensure that the spout is closed.
•Pour a drinkable liquid into the tank of the mulled wine pot / boiling water canner.
Observe the „MIN“ and „MAX“ markings inside the device!
WARNING! Danger of electric shock!
Do not allow liquids to splash when the device is in use to avoid
damage to electronics systems. Users may be electrocuted as a result.
•Turn the temperature dial to the „OFF“ position.
•Connect the device to a single grounded outlet.
•Always place the lid on the tank before turning it on, and leave it there while the
device is heating.
WARNING! Danger of burns!
When opening the lid there is a danger of burns from steam and condensation.
Carefully lift the lid so that condensation flows into the tank.
•The temperature dial can be used to set the
temperature within a range of 30 °C - 90 °C – MAX
.
Set the desired temperature by turning the
temperature dial clockwise. The red heating
control light will come on. After the desired
temperature between 30 °C - 90 °C is reached
the device’s thermostat will be turned off
automatically by the thermostat.
If the liquid’s temperature falls the thermostat will
again resume heating, maintaining the liquid at
the desired temperature for long periods of time.
•If the desired temperature is 100 °C , turn the temperature dial clockwise to the
„MAX“ position. The water will remain at boiling, and the thermostat will not turn
the device off automatically.
NOTE!
Heating time depends on the amount and type of liquid.

Pouring liquid
•To pour liquid, place an appropriate
container (glass, cup, mug) under the spout.
•Press the spout lever down and hold it until
the desired amount of water is poured.
•When finished pouring, release the spout
lever and the spout will close automatically.
•After you have finished using the device, turn the temperature dial to the „OFF“
position, remove its plug from the socket, wait for the device to dry then pour out
the remaining liquid.
Canning
•The device can also be used for preserving foodstuffs in jars. A maximum of 14 1-liter
jars with a diameter of 11.5 cm can fit stacked in two levels in the tank.
•Before canning, turn the temperature dial to the „OFF“ position and remove the
device’s plug from its socket.
•Prepare the jars with the desired foodstuffs. Ensure they are tightly closed before
being placed in the tank.
•Place the included grid at the bottom of the tank to ensure better circulation of
water under and around the jars, heating them quicker.
CAUTION!
Use only the provided grid. Galvanized sieves or graded inserts are not
appropriate and may reduce circulation, reducing the device’s effectiveness.
•Place the jars on the grid and pour enough water so that the jars are immersed to
approx. ¾ of their height. The water temperature should be close to the temperature
of the jars’ contents to save time and energy.

- 33 -
CAUTION!
When preserving jars which are stacked on two levels, ensure that the
bottom jars are sealed tightly to prevent water from getting inside.
•Put the device’s lid on the tank.
Setting the canning temperature
•Set the canning temperature depending on the product. Temperature and time
should be set in accordance with the information in the tables provided below or in
recipes.
•Connect the device to a single grounded outlet.
•When canning must be done at 100 °C , set the temperature dial to the „MAX“
position.
NOTE!
Heating time is not part of the canning time. Count canning time at
temperatures from 30 °C - 90 °C from the moment the red control light goes
off, and when the temperature is set to „MAX“ from the moment when the
water begins boiling.

6. Cleaning and descaling
CAUTION!
Disconnect the unit from the power supply (unplug!) before cleaning.
The unit is not designed to be rinsed with running water.
Do not use a pressure washer to clean the device!
Be careful and do not let the water into the unit.
Regular cleaning
oClean the device regularly after use and additionally as needed.
oClean the device’s surface with a soft, moist cloth. In case of stubborn dirt a mild
cleaning agent can be used. Never use aggressive cleaning substances.
oWipe the power cord and plug with a dry cloth.
oWash the inside of the tank thoroughly, rinse with water then pour it out through the
spout.
oWash the lid and grid with warm water and a mild cleaning agent. Rinse with clean
water, then dry thoroughly.
NOTE!
The values given above are
approximate; follow instructions
given in recipes.

- 35 -
oAlways use soft cloths, never use any abrasive cleaners that could scratch the
device.
oDo not use flammable cleaning substances such as ether alcohol, etc. as this
increases the risk of fire and explosions when the device is activated again.
Cleaning the spout
oWhen the device is used daily the spout should be thoroughly cleaned once a week,
or less often when the device is not in regular use.
oUnscrew the spout lever and wash it in warm water with a mild cleaning agent, then
rinse with clean water. Use a small brush for bottles to clean the inside of the spout,
then pour a small amount of water through it. Replace the lever on the spout.
Descaling
CAUTION!
Failure to conduct regular descaling in accordance with these instructions
may void the warranty and result in returns being rejected!
Descale the device regularly!
oHard water may cause stone deposits to form in the water tank, lengthening the
time needed to heat water and possibly causing damage to the device. Use
filtered water if possible to avoid deposits forming!
oWe recommend using citric acid or vinegar for ecological descaling. Prepare a
mixture of water with vinegar (proportion 3:1) or water with citric acid (2 table-
spoons per 1 liter of water) and fill the tank. Wait for one hour then boil the water.
oWait for the device to cool. After cooling, pour out the descaling solution and rinse the
device several times with clean water. Drain the clean water through the pour spout
to remove all leftovers.
oFollow manufacturer's instructions if you choose to use a commercially available
descaling product.
After longer breaks in the device’s use, clean and descale it according to the
instructions given above. Store the power cord in the base of the device. Store
the device in a well-ventilated, dry, clean place safe from frost and sunlight,
inaccessible to children.

- 36 -
7. Waste disposal
Discarding old devices
At the end of its service life the discarded device has to be disposed in accordance with
the national regulations. It is advisable to contact a company which is specialized in
waste disposal, or just contact the local disposal service in your community.
WARNING!
To exclude any abuse and the dangers involved make the waste device unfit
for use before disposal. For that purpose disconnect device from mains
supply and remove mains connection cable from the device.
CAUTION!
For the disposal of the device please consider and
act according to the national and local rules and
regulations.
