Description
Asano M3 is a networked multi zone amplifier that allows connecting up to 4 zones. The 2 amplified zones can be
configured as 2 stereo zones or 4 mono zones. The loudspeaker zones can also be bridged to provide a powerful stereo
zone. Additionally there is a digital S/PDIF output that allows connecting a third party amplifier or active speakers with
the Asano system.
M3 can only be used in combination with S4 and is fully controlled over the audio network. The S4’s integrated KNX
control allows you to integrate the Asano M3 in a KNX system.
LED feedback
The Asano M3 front panel has a feedback LED which indicates following statuses:
• Blue: standby mode
• White: at least one output zone amplifier is active
• Following status indicates a possible device failure:
- Red flashing
- Purple flashing
- Cyan flashing

How to install
- Power supply (1)
The Asano M3 has to be powered by a Euro mains power lead with a 230V AC input.
Do not unplug the connector at this side with voltage present.
- Inputs (3-4)
Additional sources can be connected to the optical input and 3.5 mini jack input.
- Audio Network (7)
Connect Asano M3 to the audio network using Ethernet CAT5e cable. The network has to be a dedicated network
separated from your local data network.
- Loudspeaker outputs (8)
The 2 amplified zone outputs need to be connected on a separate connector per zone.
The connectors are dismountable from the unit. Each cable can be connected through screw terminals allowing a
cable connection up to 2.5mm².
