Warranty Details
The product is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and parts for
a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Defects that occur within this
warranty period, under normal use and care, will be repaired, replaced or refunded
at our discretion. The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to all
rights and remedies in respect of the product that the consumer has under the
Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and similar state and territory laws.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure
and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You
are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of
acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Read this manual thoroughly before first use and keep it in a safe place for
future reference, along with the completed warranty card, purchase receipt
and carton. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to.
• Environment: Do not use this product where it is excessively hot, cold,
dusty or humid, or where it is exposed to strong magnetic fields or long
periods of sunshine.
• Water: Do not place containers with liquids (such as vases) or with small
metallic objects on top of the unit. If liquid enters the unit or any metallic
object falls into the unit, it may result in short-circuit, fire or electric shock.
• Handling: Do not drop this product or shake it vigorously to avoid damaging
it.
• Back-up: To avoid loss of data, we recommend always backing up any
important information, especially before upgrading the software. We
assume no liability for any damage and/or data loss due to lack of
back-up.
• Accessories: Only use the device with the power adaptor supplied. Use
of other accessories are not recommended as they may cause damage to
the unit and will void your warranty.
• Usage: Only operate the device according to the instructions in this
manual. We assume no responsibility for faulty use or inappropriate
handling.
• Usage: The equipment is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the equipment by a person responsible for
their safety.
• Children: Supervise young children to ensure they do not play with the
device inappropriately. Close supervision is necessary when the device is
used by or near children.
• Cleaning: Clean the housing of the device lightly with a dry or moist
cotton cloth. Do not use alcohol, thinners, benzene or any other chemical
cleaners. There is a small amount of electrical current when the system
is turned off. Always unplug the adaptor and press and hold the Power
Button for 2-3 seconds before cleaning.
• Repair: This device is a high precision electronic product. It contains no
user-serviceable parts inside. Do not try to dismantle, modify or repair it
yourself.

• Damage: In case of damage, contact the after sales support line for
advice.
• Disposal: Observe local regulations and dispose of this device
appropriately for recycling. Contact your local authorities for advice on
facilities.
• Heat: Do not use this product near heat sources. Use this product in
rooms with ambient temperatures between 0°C and 35°C. Do not install
the Mini PC System near heat sources such as radiators, stoves or other
audio visual equipment (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
• Fire or Explosion: Do not use or store flammable or combustible
materials near the unit. Doing so may result in fire or explosion. Do not
place any naked flame sources, such as lit candles, cigarettes or incense
sticks on top of the Mini PC System.
• Ventilation: Do not cover the ventilation openings with items such as
newspapers, tablecloths, curtains etc., as this could impede ventilation.
• Cabinet Slots: Do not insert objects of any kind into this unit through
the cabinet slots, as they could touch the current-carrying parts or short-
circuit parts, resulting in fire, electric shock or damage to the unit.
• Smoke or Odour: If you notice any unusual odours or smoke around
the unit, immediately disconnect the unit from the outlet and contact the
service centre. Failure to do so may result in fire or electric shock.
• When Not In Use: When not using the unit for long periods of time,
disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet. Dust could accumulate
over time on the unit and cause it to generate heat and ignite, or
deteriorate insulation, which in turn may result in an electrical fire.
Maintenance
• Keep the device dry. Do not let the device come into contact with water
vapour or operate it with wet hands. Contact with water will cause the
device to short-circuit, corrode or cause electric shock.
• Do not shake the equipment or adaptor excessively, as this may cause
device or adapter failure, fire or explosion.
• Do not disassemble the device and accessories. Disassembly by
unauthorised persons will void the warranty.

Getting Started
Unpacking
This product has been packaged to protect it against transportation damage.
Keep all packaging material until you have made sure that the BAUHN Mini
Home PC System with Wireless Keyboard and Mouse is undamaged and in
good working order. Note the following points when unpacking this product.
• Plastic wrapping can be a choking hazard to babies and young children,
so ensure that all packaging is stored out of reach.
• Dispose of any plastic wrapping safely.
• Read this manual to familiarise yourself with all the features and operating
principles of this device.
• Pay attention to the safety instructions on the previous pages.
Mouse
• Remove the battery cover on the back of the mouse and remove the
Nano receiver. Plug this Nano receiver into the USB slot of your Mini PC
System.
• Insert 2 x AAA batteries (supplied) into the battery compartment, making
sure to match the polarity markings (-/+) on the batteries with those
inside the compartment.
• Replace the battery cover on the back of the mouse, ensuring that the
prongs slide into place. Switch the power to ON on the bottom of the
mouse.
DPI
The DPI (dots per inch) switch will allow you to change the sensitivity levels
of the mouse. There are three levels of sensitivity and the higher the level the
quicker your mouse will move. Set the DPI to your preferred level by pressing
the switch until it reaches the desired level.

Keyboard
• Remove the cover on the bottom of the
keyboard and insert 2x AAA batteries (supplied).
Ensure the prongs slide back into place on the
back of the keyboard.
• Press any key on the keyboard to activate it.
NOTE: The Keyboard is also paired with the Nano
receiver and will not function until the Nano receiver is active.
Connect to Display and Power ON
1. Connect your BAUHN Mini Home PC System to the HDMI port of your TV
or monitor via a HDMI cable.
2. Connect the Power Socket to the Power input port on the device and the
Power adaptor into the outlet.
3. Press and hold the Power button for 1-2 seconds. The Device will start to
turn ON.
4. Change the source on the TV to the HDMI port that your device is
connected to.
5. The Set Up Wizard will then appear. Follow the instructions on the Wizard
and your BAUHN Mini Home PC System will be ready for use.

Power OFF
To Power OFF the device, hover the Mouse on the Top Right or Bottom
Right corner of the screen and the Charm Menu will appear. Select
‘Settings’ and you will see a Power Icon on the Bottom of the Menu. Select
the Power Button and then select the desired function from the menu.
Alternatively you can press the Win Key + X and hover the Mouse to
“Shut down and Sign Out” from the menu. Then Select your desired option
from the menu.
NOTE: If you want to turn OFF the unit, do not unplug the power adaptor
directly.
Initial Start Up
The first time you turn the Mini PC System ON, the Start Up Wizard will
appear and you will be shown quick steps to set up your device. Adhere to
the following instructions for set up:
1. The first screen that will appear will be the Language and Region set up
screen. Select the desired options and then click on the ‘Next’ button on
the bottom right of the page.
2. The next page will display the License Terms. In order to use this device,
you need to agree to the terms by clicking the ‘I Accept’ button.
3. The next step will be the personalise page in which you can pick a name
for your Mini PC System and the theme colour.
4. The next step will get you connected to your Wireless Network. Select
your desired Network and follow the authentication steps to connect.
5. The next page will prompt you to customise your Mini PC Settings.
Alternatively you can use the default Microsoft settings by selecting
‘Express Settings’.
6. This step will require you to sign in to your Microsoft account. If you do
not have one, click on ‘Create New Account” and follow the steps to
create an account.

Connecting to Wi-Fi
To connect to a Wi-Fi network, open the Charm Menu, select Settings then
select . Select your preferred wireless network from the list of available
networks.
Microsoft Account
With a new or existing Microsoft account, you can use your BAUHN Mini PC
System for activities such as:
• Download and purchase Applications, music and games from the
Windows Store.
• Upload photos and videos to SkyDrive.
• Play Xbox games.
• Listen to music using an Xbox Music Pass.
If you do not have a Microsoft account, see page 9, step 6 for instructions on
how to create one.
NOTE: Xbox Music Pass is a monthly music subscription service. Some
Microsoft Store content may not be available via Xbox Music Pass and may
vary over time.
Micro SD Card
Your BAUHN Mini PC System is compatible with Micro SD cards, up to 32GB
in capacity.
• Power OFF your BAUHN Mini PC System and insert your Micro SD card
into the micro SD slot.
• Gently push it in until you feel a soft click.
• To remove the SD card, power OFF the BAUHN Mini PC System then
gently push the SD card until you feel a soft click and the SD card will
eject.

Windows 8.1 Start Screen
The Start Screen displays programs in tiles. To open a program, click on
the tile of the desired program. You will be asked to login to your Microsoft
account if you open programs that need to connect to a Microsoft account
such as Store, Mail or Skype.
Windows Key
The Windows Key on your keyboard can help you navigate through your
BAUHN Mini PC System efficiently. Press once to return to the Start Screen
or to your most recently opened Application.

People
The People Hub gives you quick and easy access to the people you want to
reach. Connect your accounts to automatically get information and updates
from your contacts.
Multimedia
The multimedia feature contains Applications for the Photos, Music and
Videos.
• Photos: Use this Application to view pictures and play videos that you
have downloaded or copied onto your SD Card or internal storage.
You can perform basic editing tasks on pictures and set them as you
wallpaper or contact picture.
• Music: This Application contains all the audio files form your SD Card or
internal storage for easy playback.
• Video: This contains all video files from your SD Card or internal storage
for easy playback. You can also access the Xbox Video Store and rent
or buy movies or videos.
Downloading from the Store
To download from the Store, you need to login to your Microsoft account
on the BAUHN Mini PC System. When you are signed in, you are offered
content that is compatible with your device.

Downloading Applications and More
You can download free Applications, games, or buy more content for your
BAUHN Mini PC System. To do this:
• Press the Windows key to go to the start screen.
• Click on ‘Store’, then click on an item to view its details.
• If the item needs to be purchased, click on ‘Buy’ or click on ‘Try’ to try
the item for free for a limited time (some Apps may not have a free trial
option). Click ‘Install’ if the item is free.
• If you are not signed in to your Microsoft account, you will be asked to
login, which can be done by following the instructions displayed.
• When the download is complete, you can open the item or continue
browsing.
NOTE: The content type determines where the item is stored on the system.
Items will be downloaded to the corresponding menus i.e, downloaded music
will be stored in the Music menu.
OneDrive
OneDrive is cloud storage for all the documents and files that you have
uploaded from external devices. It allows you to access, share or restore
them anywhere and anytime you want. Before you update or download any
content, you need to connect to the Internet and sign in to your Microsoft
account. There are several places where you can access your files on
OneDrive. You can see photos on Onedrive in the Photos Hub, or manage
your documents in the Office Hub.

Personalising the Start Screen
You can customise the Start Screen by pinning additional Applications to
the screen, in addition to the ones that are already pinned. To pin more
Applications to the Start Screen:
• Select the down arrow on the bottom Left of the screen.
• Then select the desired Application that you wish to pin to the Start
Screen.
• Select “Pin to Start Screen”.
Alternatively, if you want to unpin or re-size a tile, pin it to the Task Bar or
uninstall an Application from the
start screen, Right click on the
Application and select your desired
option from the menu.

Charm Menu
Hover the mouse on the Top Right or Bottom Right corner of the screen to
open the Charm Menu. This menu contains the following sub-menus: Start,
Devices, Settings, Share and Search.

Icon Description
This option lets you search the files, applications and settings
on the Mini PC System.
This option lets you share the contents of a program (Photos,
Videos etc.) through social media, OneNote or e-mail.
This option lets you go back to the Start screen.
This option lets you connect to an external screen or printer that
is connected to same network as your Mini PC System.
This option lets you change the settings on the Mini PC System.

Desktop Mode: In Desktop Mode, your interface will display the traditional
Windows Screen, which you can operate just like previous Windows
operating systems (like Windows 7).
Dual Screen Mode
In Dual Screen Mode you can have two applications open and visible at the
same time.
• To enter Dual Screen mode: Go to Desktop Mode and hover the mouse
on the Top Right hand corner of the screen. The last opened App will
appear; select the App and drag it to the end of the Right hand side of
the screen. Release the App and it will open on half of the screen.
• To use a dierent App in Dual screen Mode: Select the top bar on the
App and drag it back to the left. A list of all open Apps will appear on the
left side of the screen. Select one of these Apps and drag it to the end
of the Right side of the screen; the screen will now divide into two parts
displaying the selected App on one side of the screen and the Desktop
on the other side.
• To change screen proportions: Select the black vertical line in order to
change the size of the screens.

Sleep, Shut Down and Restart
To turn OFF your device, select Settings and choose ‘Power’ to open the
Power options. Alternatively, press the Windows Key + X and hover the
mouse over ‘Shut Down or Sign Out’ and then select your desired option.
Help + Tips Application
This Application contains interactive videos to help you better understand
how to run basic operations on your Mini PC System. It is recommended
that you go through each menu so you are aware of the full range of features
available, and can get the most out of the BAUHN Mini PC System with Wire-
less Keyboard and Mouse.

Quick Setup Method
To open the Settings Menu, select the Settings Button in the Charm Menu,
then select ‘Change PC Settings’.
PC and Devices
Lock Screen
In this menu you can setup your lock screen. You can customise the lock
screen images and make them slide, set up Lock Screen Apps, choose an
App to be displayed with details on the lock screen (such as the calander)
and choose an appropriate alarm App.
