Warranty Details
The product is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and
parts for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Defects that
occur within this warranty period, under normal use and care, will be
repaired, replaced or refunded at our discretion, solely at our option with
no charge for parts and labour. The benets conferred by this warranty
are in addition to all rights and remedies in respect of the product that the
consumer has under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and similar
state and territory laws.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the
Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for
a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable
loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or
replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does
not amount to a major failure.

Important warnings and cautions!
• Do not attempt to open the cover or the back of this product. There are no
user-serviceable parts inside this product.
• Do not repair the unit yourself. Only have it serviced by qualied personnel.
• Do not expose this product to water, rain, moisture or dust. Do not use it
anywhere near water or where water splashes or drips; do not touch the
power plug with wet hands.
Usage conditions and restrictions
• Follow the instructions in this manual when installing this appliance. If
damage occurs, unplug the appliance and have it serviced by appropriately
qualied personnel.

Getting Started
Introducing your Tablet / Smartphone Mirroring Dongle
With your Tablet / Smartphone Mirroring Dongle, you can easily enjoy your
favourite local and online TV shows, YouTube videos, photos, movies,
websites and Oce software on your TV in High Denition. The Tablet /
Smartphone Mirroring Dongle (to be referred to as Dongle) automatically
updates to work with a growing number of supported apps and provide you
with the latest version of the EZCast Software.
The Dongle supports WiFi EZCast, DLNA, EZMirror, EZAir (Airplay), and is
compatible for Android smartphones and tablets, iPhones and iPads, and
Windows and Mac laptops.
Connecting to your TV
• Plug the Dongle into the HDMI port of your TV, connect the USB power
cable to your Dongle, and plug the other end into your TV USB port.
Alternatively you can plug into a 5V/0.5A power adaptor (not supplied).
• Turn on your TV and switch to the HDMI source. The EZCast boot-up
logo will appear on your TV screen.


Setting up an Android Device
• Search and Install the EZCast App from the Google Play Store on
your mobile device. (Available for Android devices running Android
4.0 and higher)
• Once the Dongle is plugged into your TV (see Page 7 for
instructions), the Main Menu will appear and will show the SSID
Number (EZCast WiFi Network account), and Password which you
will require.
• Go to the WiFi settings on your Android device and nd the WiFi
account which matches with the SSID Number displayed on your
screen. Click on the EZCast network and enter the Password also
displayed on your Main Menu.
• Your Dongle and Android device will now be connected.
• Launch the EZCast App and
you’ll be ready to start using
your new Dongle.
• NOTE: Your Dongle can
connect to 2 or more Android
devices, however only one
device can control the Dongle
at a time. The connection
speed may decrease
if multiple devices are
connected.

Setting up an iPhone or iPad
• Search and Install the EZCast App from the App Store on your
iPhone or iPad. (Available for iOS 6.0 and higher)
• Once the Dongle is plugged into your TV (see Page 7 for
instructions), the Main Menu will appear and will show the SSID
Number (EZCast WiFi Network account), and Password which you
will require .
• Go to the WiFi settings on
your iPhone or iPad and
nd the WiFi account which
matches with the SSID
Number displayed on your
screen. Click on the EZCast
network and enter the
Password also displayed on
your Main Menu.
• Your Dongle and iPhone or
iPad will now be connected.
• Launch the EZCast App and
you’ll be ready to start using
your new Dongle

Setting up a Windows Laptop
• Search and Install the EZCast App from https://www.iezvu.com/ on
your Windows Laptop. (Available for Windows XP SP3 and higher)
• Once the Dongle is plugged into your TV (see Page 7 for
instructions), the Main Menu will appear and will show the SSID
Number (EZCast WiFi Network account), and Password which you
will require .
• Go to the WiFi settings on your Windows Laptop and nd the WiFi
account which matches with the SSID Number displayed on your
screen. Click on the EZCast network and enter the Password. also
displayed on your Main Menu.
• Your Dongle and Windows Laptop will now be connected.
• Launch the EZCast App and you’ll be ready to start using your new
Dongle.
NOTE: EZMirror function is supported by Windows 8 / 8.1 Operating
System.

Setting up a Mac Laptop
• Search and Install the EZCast App from https://www.iezvu.com/ on
your Mac Laptop. (Available for Mac OS 10.7 and higher)
• Once the Dongle is plugged into your TV (see Page 7 for
instructions), the Main Menu will appear and will show the SSID
Number (EZCast WiFi Network account), and Password which you
will require.
• Go to the WiFi settings on your Mac Laptop and nd the WiFi
account which matches with the SSID Number displayed on your
screen. Click on the EZCast network and enter the Password also
displayed on your Main Menu.
• Your Dongle and Mac Laptop will now be connected.
• Launch the EZCast App and you’ll be ready to start using your new
Dongle.

Casting via Android Devices / iPhones / iPads using the EZ-
Cast App
• Once set up, when you launch EZCast on your device, you will
see the following launch screen and can start interacting with your
Dongle.
Casting Photos
• In the EZCast App, click on the photo icon which will direct you to the
picture folders of your device. Select the photo you would like to cast,
and then you will see the photo on your TV or screen. Here you can also
interact with your photo and make notes etc.

Camera
In the EZCast App, click on the Camera icon which will
direct you to the Camera folder of your device. Here
you can takes photos and videos. Once captured, you
can also make edits or add notes to the image.
Casting Music
In the EZCast App, click on the Music icon which will direct
you to the Music folders of your device. Select the le you would like to cast,
and then the music will start playing on your TV.
NOTE:
• Most popular audio le formats are supported. Please check the
specications on Page 23 of this manual for supported formats.
• Local les must be saved under EZCast in iTunes before you can cast
music through the EZCast app.
Casting Video
In the EZCast App, click on the Video icon which will direct you to the Video
folders of your device. Select the le you would like to cast, and then the
video will start playing on your TV or screen.
NOTE:
• Most popular video le formats are supported. Please check the
specications on Page 23 of this manual for supported formats.
• Local les must be saved under EZCast in iTunes before you can cast
Video through the EZCast app.

Documents
In the EZCast App, click on the Documents Icon which will direct you to your
documents folder of your device. Select the le you would like to cast, and
then the document will appear on your TV or Screen. Here you can also
interact with your document and make notes etc.
NOTE: Local les must be saved under EZCast in iTunes before you can cast
Video through the EZCast app
Casting Websites
In the EZCast App, click on the Web Icon to browse and surf the internet via
the built-in web browser and view on your TV or Screen.
NOTE: Your Dongle must be connected to a WiFi network with internet
connection to be able to use this feature. To connect a WiFi network,
refer to Setting up on Page 8 in this manual for more information.

Casting Cloud Video
In the EZCast App, click on the Cloud Video Icon to access online services
such as YouTube, IMDB and Vimeo. Select the le you would like to cast, and
then the clip or movie will start playing on your TV or screen.
NOTE: Your Dongle must be connected to a WiFi network with internet
connection to be able to use this feature. To connect a WiFi network,
refer to Setting up on page 8 in this manual for more information.
Casting Cloud Storage
In the EZCast App, click on Cloud Storage to access
your les and documents saved on services such as
Dropbox. Select the le you would like to cast, and
then the document will appear on your TV or Screen.
NOTE: Your Dongle must be connected to a WiFi
network with internet connection to be able
to use thisfeature. To connect a WiFi network,
refer to Setting up on Page 8in this manual for
more information.

Comment
In the EZCast App, click on Comment to provide feedback or
suggestions to EZCast.
Upgrade
In the EZCast App, click on Upgrade to see if there is a new EZCast
App version available. (For instructions on how to upgrade your
Dongle, refer to page 21 of this manual).
Radio
In the EZCast App, click on the Radio icon to access free online Radio
channels and listen to them on your TV or Screen.

Casting via a Windows or Mac Laptop using the EZCast App
On/O
When the On/O icon in the EZCast app is selected, the mirroring
function will commence or cease. If O is selected, you will be taken
back to the Main Menu as shown above to choose other options.
• Mirror Function: When this is selected, your TV or Screen will
mirror the whole desktop screen.
• Extension Function: When this is selected, your TV or screen will
act as an extension to your device display
High / Low
Here you can set the resolution you would like to mirror your device in.
• For easier readability, if you would like to cast oce les, photos,
or websites, select High.
• For improved speeds, if you would like to cast video or audio les,
select Low.

AudioOn/O
Here you can choose to mirror with or without Audio.
• If set to On, all audio will cast and play via your TV.
• If set to O, all audio will be projected via your laptop.
Music
• Here you can select Music via File Manager on your laptop to play
via your TV.
Video
• Here you can select Videos via File Manager on your laptop to play
on your TV or Screen.
Comment
Here you can provide feedback or suggestions directly to EZCast.
Update
Here you can see if there is a new EZCast App version available. (For
instructions on how to upgrade your Dongle, refer to page 21 of this
manual).
DLNA
In the EZCast App, click on the DLNA icon to
bring up a list of online video players that support
DLNA function. Select a video player to view
online movies from, and then click the DLNA icon
within that video player to cast the movie and
video onto your TV screen.
NOTE:
• If your device does not install the DLNA
supported apps, search and install from the
relevant app store (Google Play Store, App
Store or website).

EZMirror
In the EZCast App, click on the EZMirror icon to mirror the screen of
your device on the TV. Once selected, you will be directed to the Wi-Fi
setting again, and will be prompted to connect to WiFi display or WiFi
direct on your device (connection may take up to 60 seconds). Once
the connection is successful, your device will be mirrored on your TV
or screen.
NOTE:
• If EZMirror does not connect within 60 seconds, you will be
required to re-connect to the EZCast WiFi Network (refer to
relevant Set Up pages at the start of this manual).
• Only Android 4.2 Operating System and higher, and Windows 8
Operating System and higher can support the EZMirror function.
EZAir (Airplay)
To cast your iPad or iPhone display onto your TV or Screen, you can
choose one of the following options:
• To mirror your entire display and all actions, swipe up from the
Main Menu, click on the AirPlay icon and choose your Dongle
from the list of devices, turn mirroring on, and click Done to start
mirroring.
• To mirror content from an individual App, within the App click on
the options icon, select the Airplay icon and choose your Dongle
from the list of devices, click Done, and just the content of this app
will be mirrored. (Not compatible with all Applications).

• To use EZAir (Airplay) on your Macbook, go to System Preferences,
Display, and choose AirPlay Display to select your Dongle from the
list. Click on “Show Mirroring Options” to link a shortcut to your
(Bar at the top). Once your Dongle is selected, your Mac screen
will now Mirror what is on your display.
NOTE:
• To be able to use EZAir (Airplay), your Dongle and iPhone or iPad
need to be connected to the same WiFi network.
• For further instructions regarding Airplay, refer to the Instruction
Manual of your device.
Settings
In the EZCast App, click on the Settings icon to bring the Settings
menu. Navigate through the Settings menu by using the Left / Right /
Up / Down keys on your device.
Resolution
Here you can select the resolution which you would like to cast your
information. Lower resolution may help to improve buering and
transfer speeds.
Password
Here you can set a Password for your Dongle. Use the keyboard on
your device to input your password, and then press OK to conrm.
