size for the toaster and does not protrude
above the bread slice opening. Ensure the

intheToaster.
• The appliances are not intended to be
operated by means of an external timer or
separateremote-controlsystem.

• Do not leave the appliance unattended
when it is in use. Always unplug it from the
mainssocketwhenitisnotinuseandbefore
cleaning.Keepthisunitoutofthereachofthe
children.
• The apparatus shall not be exposed to
drippingorsplashingandnoobjectslledwith
liquids,suchasvases,shallbe placed onthe
product. To prevent re or shock hazard. Do

• Donotusethetoasterwithouttheremovable
sliding crumb tray in place. The crumb tray
should be cleaned regularly. Do not allow
crumbstobuildupinthetray.
• Intheinterestofsafety,regularperiodicclose
checks should be carried out on the supply
cordtoensurenodamageisevident.Donot
attempttodismantleorrepairthisunityourself.
Repairsshouldonlybeperformedbyqualied
personnelinordertoavoidahazard.
• Thisappliancemustbeearthed.Onlyconnect
it to a suitable earthed AC 240V~50Hz mains
socket.
• This appliance is intended to be used in

• The enclosure of the toaster, including the
immediate surroundings of the bread slots,
may become very hot during toasting. Do
not attempt to touch these areas during, or
within 10 minutes after the toasting process.
This could result in physical injury. When in
doubt, disconnect the appliance from the
mainsoutletandallowittocoolforatleast10
minutes.
• Donotcoverthisappliancewhileinuse.
Warning
Ifthesupplypowercordisdamaged,thepower
cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
serviceagentorsimilarlyqualiedpersonsinorder
toavoidahazard.
Thisproducthasnotbeendesignedforanyuses

Neverattemptto extractjammedtoast,mufns,
bagelsoranyotheritemwithaknifeoranyother

electrocution. Allow the appliance to rst cool
down, then unplug and carefully remove the
bread.
Caution - bread may burn. When using this
appliance, allow adequate air space above
and on all sides for air circulation. Do not allow
this appliance to touch curtains, wall coverings,
clothing,dishtowelsorotherammablematerials
during use. CAUTION is required on surfaces
whereheatmay cause aproblem.Aninsulated
heatpadisrecommended.
Do not immerse it in water or other liquid or use
itnearwashbasinsorsinks.Donotuseitifhands
arewet.

Getting to Know Your 2
SliceToaster
Congratulations on the purchase of your new
Bellini2SliceToaster.
Beforeusing yournew 2 Slice Toaster for the rst
time,itisextremelyimportantthatyoureadand
followtheinstructionsinthisUseandCarebooklet,
evenifyoufeelthatyouarefamiliarwiththistype
ofappliance.
In particular, please pay close attention to the
sectionentitledIMPORTANTSAFEGUARDS.Finda
safe and convenient place to keep this booklet
forfuturereference.
This appliance has been designed to operate
from a standard domestic power outlet. It is not
intendedforindustrialorcommercialuse.
BeforeUsingForTheFirst
Time
Ensure the above safety precautions are
understood.
1. Carefullyunpacktheapplianceandremove
allthepackagingmaterialsattachedtoyour
toaster.
2. Read the manual and carefully follow the
instructions.
3. Alwaysusetheappliancewithapoweroutlet
ofthesamevoltage(A.C.only)asmarkedon
thebottomofunit.
4. Check that the removable crumb tray is
correctlylockedunderneaththetoaster.
5. Unwindthesupplycordcompletely.Connect
tothemainswalloutlet.
FirstTimeUse
1. Beforeusingforthersttime,settheBrowning
Control to “2” position without inserting any
bread.
2. Press the High lift / bread release lever
down until it clicks into place to turn on the
toaster.Usingitforthersttimewithoutbread
will remove any unpleasant odours from the
newappliance.
How to Use Your 2 Slice
Toaster
PlugtheToasterintoastandarddomesticpower
outletandswitchthepoweroutleton.
Adjust the variable browning control to the
desired toast colour setting. Choose a setting
basedonthetypeofbreadyouaretoastingand
your personal preference. Start on a medium
setting (3-4) and adjust the variable browning
control to a lighter setting (1-2) or darker setting
(5-6).
Note: The condition of the bread will
determine how quickly it toasts. Dry or
stale bread toasts faster than fresh bread.
Place only 1 slice of bread into each of the
toastingslots.Ensurethebreadslicesarenottoo
largeorthicktotintheslots.
Press the High lift / bread release lever
downuntilitclicksintoplace. Toasting cyclewill
automaticallycommence.
Note: The lever will not lock into position
if the Toaster is not plugged into a power
outlet or if the power outlet is not switched
on.
When toasting is completed, the toast will pop
up and the Toaster will switch off automatically.
Toastingmaybeinterruptedduringthecycleby
pushingthecancelbutton.Toastingwillstopand
thetoastwillpop-up.
AllowtheToaster15to20secondstocoolbefore
beginningthenexttoastingcycle.Thispermitsthe
electronically controlled thermostat to reset for
thenexttoastingcycle.
Note: Do not touch the Toaster walls
when the Toaster is in use.
Note: The lift lever is held down to test
the anti-jam operation, the unit requires
about 60 – 80 seconds cool-down period
before used again.
Thehighliftfacilitymakesiteasiertoremove
thetoast.Whentoastingiscomplete,press
theloweringleverupwardandremovethe
toastfromthetoaster.

CareandCleaning
Note: Please read and follow the Care
and Cleaning instructions supplied
Switch off the power outlet and unplug the
Toaster;ensuring you letthe Toaster coolbefore
cleaning.
WipeovertheexterioroftheToasterandpower
cordwithasoftdampspongeorcloth.
Donotuseabrasivesorstronghouseholdcleaners,
astheywilldamagethestainlesssteelnish.
The crumb trays will need to be cleaned
occasionally. The crumb trays slide out for easy
removalofbreadcrumbs.
Note: Do not try to clean the inside of the
Toaster, as this may damage the heating
elements. Water and liquids must never
enter the Toaster.

Warning:Donot leaveitunattended when itis
in use as toast may jam or wedge in the bread
carriage.
Caution: Do not use a knife or another sharp
metal tool to remove bread from the toaster
anddonottouchthemetalinternalpartsofthe
toaster.
Reheat button
Toast can be reheated by placing cold toast in
the bread slots, lowering the lever and pressing
thereheatbutton.The reheat lightwillcomeon
andthetoastwillbereheatedoverashort,xed
periodoftime.
Note: When using the reheat function,
keep a close eye on the bread to ensure
it doesn’t burn.
Cancel function
Thetoastingcyclecanbestoppedatanystage
bypressingthecancelbutton.Thetoastwillpop
upandtheToasterwillswitchoffautomatically.
Defrost function
The defrost function is useful for thawing and
toastingfrozenbreadallinoneoperation.Adjust
thevariablebrowningcontroltothedesiredtoast
coloursetting.Startonamediumsetting(3-4)and
adjust the variable browning control to a lighter
setting(1-2)ordarkersetting(5-6)dependingon
yourpersonalpreference.
Placebreadorcrumpetsintothebreadslots.
Press the lever down to the locked position and
press the defrost button. The defrost light will
illuminate.
Whenthawingandtoastingiscomplete,thetoast
will automatically pop-up and the Toaster will
switchoffautomatically.
