Aluminium Shower Stool Padded Seat
Set-up and Operation
The Aluminium Shower
Stool with Padded Seat is
manufactured from lightweight
aluminium for increased
resistance to corrosion with a
waterproof padded seat for
optimum comfort.
Minor assembly required.
Adjusting the height
The stool is height adjustable to match individual requirements or
uneven surface.
A series of holes along each leg allow seat height to be adjusted from
450 to 625 mm.
A clip is used to secure the height of
each leg.
To adjust height, remove the clip
and slide the leg up or down to
align holes at the ideal height. Fully
insert the clip to secure.
Repeat for all four legs, adjusting
height evenly or individually to
match an uneven floor surface.
Before use, ensure the stool is
stable and resting firmly on the
floor’s surface.
Ideal seat height
Ideal height is when the user’s feet rest
flat on the floor, with thighs parallel to
the ground or slightly angled with hips
just above knee level. Knees should
never project above the upper leg.
Attach armrests to seat
Place the padded seat upside down on a flat surface.
Remove bolts and washers from the armrest using the hex key
provided. Insert the armrest frame into the base of the padded seat,
aligning holes at the required width (see ‘Adjusting the width’ to
establish the ideal seat width). Reinsert bolts and washers, and
tighten firmly.
Repeat for the other armrest, ensuring the seat remains centred
between armrests.
Insert leg extensions
Insert each leg extension into the frame and secure with the locking
clip. See ‘Adjusting the height’ to establish ideal seat height for the
individual user.
Box contents and inspection
Carefully remove all components from the box, remove all packaging
and plastic wrapping and check items against the list below. Any
damaged or missing components should be reported to your
authorised dealer or Evadale Healthcare.

Regular maintenance
The leg clips should be regularly inspected to ensure they are fully
inserted and firmly attached. Do not use the stool without all four
leg clips inserted, or if the seat is cracked or deformed.
Ensure all bolts are secure and firmly tightened.
Regularly check the condition of the rubber tips and replace
immediately if you see evidence of rips, tears, cracks or other
general wear.

Care & cleaning
To clean the seat after each use, wipe with a mild soap and warm
water solution and rinse well. Dry with a clean cloth.
For heavier soiling, wipe clean with a diluted bleach solution and rinse
well before drying. Do not use water temperatures in excess of 80°c.
It is recommended the frame be cleaned after heavy use or at
least once a week. To clean the frame, wipe clean with a soft clean
cleanser and warm water solution and rinse well.
For a thorough clean, separate all parts (legs, clips, frame and
fasteners) and wash individually with warm soapy water. Dry
thoroughly before reassembly.
Avoid harsh, abrasive cleaning agents or utensils (such as a wire
brush) as these can lead to deterioration of the frame and seat.
Adjusting the width
The width of the stool can be adjusted from 580 mm wide to 620
mm wide by repositioning the armrests.
To adjust the distance between armrests, turn the stool upside down
and place on a flat, stable surface.
Remove bolts and washers from one side of the stool using the hex
key provided. Slide the armrests in or out, aligning holes on base of
stool with holes in armrests. Reinsert bolts and washers, and tighten
firmly to secure.
Repeat this process on the other side, ensuring
the seat remains centred between armrests.
Before use, always check the armrests are secure
and the stool is stable.
