Hand-held mixer KH 1109
Intended use
This hand-mixer is intended for knead-
ing dough, mixing liquids (e.g. fruit
juices) and whipping cream. All other
uses or modification of the set are not
intended by the manufacturer and
could entail risk of damage or injury.
Not suitable for commercial use.

Important safety instructions
· Read the instructions for use care-
fully before using the appliance for
the first time and keep these safely
for subsequent use. Always ensure
that any other person wishing to use
the appliance first reads these in-
structions.
· Check whether the appliance is com-
plete immediately when you have
unpacked the set. Ensure that all
parts are present and correct accord-
ing to the list of parts.
· Never allow children play with or
handle electrical appliances without
supervision. Children cannot appreci-
ate the grave risks of damage and in-
jury resulting from incorrect handling.
· Never use the Handmixer outdoors.
The appliance is intended exclusively
for domestic and kitchen use.
· Make sure that the plug is discon-
nected after each use and before
cleaning the appliance. Care must be
taken that the device cannot be
switched on accidentally.
· Always switch off the appliance be-
fore replacing the accessory parts.
· Examine the device and all parts for
visible damage or faults. Full safety
of the appliance can be guaranteed
only when it is in perfect condition.
Warning:
Never switch on the device if parts
are damaged or are missing. Serious
damage and injury can otherwise
occur.
· Ensure that all repairs are carried out
by a specialist. In case of faults,
please consult the service partner in
your home country (see Guarantee).
·Warning:
When operating the mixer, do not
touch the mixing heads or the
kneading hooks. Make sure that long
hair, scarves, etc. never hang over the
attachments. Carelessness can lead to
serious injury!
· Never fix attachments with different
functions to the appliance at the
same time.
· The power cable must never come
close to or in contact with hot parts
of the appliance or other sources of
heat. Never leave the mains lying on
edges or corners.
·Warning:
A damaged power cable can lead to
electric shocks!

Speeds settings
0 Device is switched off
1Good starting speed for mixing
“soft” ingredients, such as flour,
butter, etc.
2Best speed for mixing liquid ingre-
dients
3Ideal speed for mixing cake and
bread dough
4For creaming butter, sugar, deserts
and sweets, etc.
5For beating white of egg, cake ic-
ing, for mashing boiled potatoes,
whipping cream, etc.
Turbo
· Same speed as setting “5”
· This button puts the entire per-
formance of your appliance at your
disposal immediately.
· For operating the blending rod

Use of beater blades and kneading
hooks
Preparation
1. Clean the attachments (,) before
the first use.
2. Slide the beater blades or knead-
ing hooks into the appliance until
they are secure and you hear a dis-
tinct locking sound. Always insert the
kneading hooks without the ring
into the opening provided (marked
with a toothed wheel/star) on the
hand-mixer (see Fig. A).
3. Place the ingredients required to ma-
ke the desired quantity into a mixing
bowl.
4. Lower the mixing heads into the con-
tents of the bowl.
5. Connect the plug to the mains.
Kneading/beater blades
·Note:
Switch on the mixer only after you
have lowered the mixing heads into
the ingredients to be mixed.
1. To start the mixer, turn the speed
control to the right.
You can choose from between 5
speed settings or the turbo button
(see Chapter “Speed settings”).
2. In order to ensure that the ingredi-
ents are thoroughly mixed, they
must at least cover the bottom of the
mixing heads.
3. When you wish to remove the con-
tents of the bowl, first switch off the
Handmixer.
4. Press the eject button to release
the mixing heads or kneading
hooks .
Caution!
1. Always allow the Handmixer to rest
for a few minutes after every 5 min-
utes of constant use in particular
after using the blending rod.
2. Never keep the appliance in constant
operation for more than 10 minutes!

Cleaning
1. Make sure the plug is disconnected
before cleaning the appliance.
2. Clean the housing only with a
damp cloth and if necessary with a
mild cleaning agent.
3. Beater blades or kneading hook
can be cleaned under running water
or in the dishwasher.
4. We recommend that all attachments
be cleaned directly after use. This
will prevent food residues accumu-
lating and remove the risk of germs.
Disposal
The packing consists of 100% environ-
ment-friendly materials, which you can
dispose of at your local recycling points.
Please enquire from your local or mu-
nicipal authorities regarding ways of
disposing old household appliances.
