CHAPTER 2: HARDWARE INSTALLATION
2.1 CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT (CPU)
Step 1: Pull the lever sidewaysawayfrom the socket and thenraise the
lever up toa90-degree angle.
Step 2:Lookfortheblackcutedgeon socket, and the white dotonCPU
should pointforwardsthisblackcutedge.The CPU will fit only
inthe correctorientation.

Step 3: Holdthe CPUdown firmly, and then close thelever tocomplete
theinstallation.
Step 4: Put the CPU Fan on the CPUand buckle it. Connect the CPU
FAN power cable to the JCFAN1.Thiscompletesthe
installation.

2.2 FAN HEADERS
These fan headerssupport cooling-fansbuiltinthecomputer.The fan
wiring and plugmaybedifferentaccordingtothefanmanufacturer.
Connect thefancable to the connector while matching the blackwire to
pin#1.

The JCFAN1 andJSFAN1 support 3-pin head connector. When
connecting withwiresonto connectors, please note thatthe red wire is
thepositiveand should be connected to pin#2, andthe blackwireis
Ground and should be connectedto GND.
2.3 MEMORY MODULE INSTALLATION
1. Unlocka DIMM slotbypressing the retaining clipsoutward.Aligna
DIMM on the slotsuch thatthenotchon the DIMM matchesthe
breakontheSlot.
2. Insert theDIMM verticallyand firmlyintotheslotuntil theretaining
chip snapbackin placeand the DIMM isproperly seated.
