Your BLACK+DECKER SNC3650L252 Snow
thrower has been designed for Clearing snow
from areas. This appliance is intended for
consumer use only.

these instructions before operating the machine. Please keep
the instructions safe for later use.
uRead all of this manual carefully before operating the
appliance.
uThe intended use is described in this manual. The use of
any accessory or attachment or the performance of any
operation with this appliance other than those
recommended in this instruction manual may present a
risk of personal injury.
uBe thoroughly familiar with the controls and the proper use
of the equipment.
uKnow how to stop the unit and disengage the controls
quickly.
uNever allow children to operate the equipment. Never
allow adults to operate the equipment without
proper instruction.
uKeep the area of operation clear of all persons, particularly
small children, and pets.
uExercise caution to avoid slipping or falling, especially
when operating in reverse.
uRetain this manual for future reference.
Using your appliance
Always take care when using the appliance.
uThoroughly inspect the area where the equipment is to be
used and remove all doormats, sleds, boards, wires, and
other foreign objects.
uDisengage all clutches and shift into neutral before
starting the engine.
uDo not operate the equipment without wearing adequate
winter garments. Wear footwear, which will improve
footing on slippery surfaces.
uUse a grounded three-wire plug-in for all units with electric
drive motors or electric starting motors.
u Adjust the collector housing height to clear gravel or
crushed rock surface.
u Never attempt to make any adjustments while the engine
is running (except where specically recommended by
manufacturer).
uThe operation of any powered machine can result in
foreign objects being thrown into the eyes.
uAlways wear safety glasses or eye shields during
operation or while performing an adjustment or repair.
u This appliance is not intended for use by young or inrm
persons without supervision.
uThe appliance is not to be used as a toy.
uDo not allow children or animals to come near the work
area or touch the appliance.
uClose supervision is necessary when the appliance is
used near children.
uDo not immerse the appliance in water.
uDo not open body casing. There are no user serviceable
parts inside.
uDo not operate the appliance in explosive atmospheres,
such as in the presence of ammable liquids, gases or
dust.
uDo not put hands or feet near or under rotating parts.
Keep clear of the discharge opening at all times.
uExercise extreme caution when operating on or crossing
gravel drives, walks, or roads. Stay alert for hidden
hazards or trafc.
u After striking a foreign object, stop the engine, remove the
batteries from the main body, thoroughly inspect the snow
thrower for any damage, and repair the damage before
restarting and operating the snow thrower.
uIf the unit should start to vibrate abnormally, stop the
engine and check immediately for the cause. Vibration is
generally a warning of trouble.
uRemove the safety key whenever you leave the operating
position, before unclogging the collector/impeller
housing or discharge guide, and when making any repairs,
adjustments, or inspections.
uWhen cleaning, repairing, or inspecting, make certain the
collector/impeller and all moving parts have stopped.
uDo not clear snow across the face of slopes. Exercise
extreme caution when changing direction on slopes. Do
not attempt to clear steep slopes.
uNever operate the snow thrower without proper guards,
plates or other safety protective devices in place.
uNever operate the snow thrower near glass enclosures,
automobiles, windows, etc. without proper adjustment of
the snow discharge angle. Keep children and pets away.
uDo not overload the machine capacity by attempting to
clear snow at too fast a rate.
uNever operate the machine at high transport speeds on
slippery surfaces. Use care when reversing.
uNever direct discharge at bystanders or allow anyone in
front of the unit.
uDisengage power to the collector/impeller when snow
thrower is transported or not in use.
