Thisproductisintendedfortemporaryusetoprovidetaillampfunctionaswellasstopandturnindicationwhentowingavehicle
narrowerthan80incheswide.SomekitsdonotcontainalllightsrequiredbytheDepartmentofTransportation.Pleasecheckwith
yourdealerconcerningadditionallightingrequirements.
Aspecialnoteaboutbatteries:
ItisrecommendedtouseAAlithiumbatteriesandhaveasparesetofbatteriesonhand.Whileinusebesuretocheck
everytwohoursthattheamberbatteryindicatorLEDisNOTblinking.AblinkingLEDindicatesthebatteriesarenot
functioningproperly.IfthebatteryindicatorLEDisblinkingwhenattemptingtoturnthelightsonyouwillneedtoreplace
alleightbatteriesimmediatelytocomplywithSAE/FMVSS108safetystandards.Fourbatteriesarefoundineachoftwo
magneticbases.
UsingtheWirelessTowLights:
1. InstallfreshAAbatteriesintoeachlightbaseperindicatedpolarity.Thebatterytraymaybeaccessedbytwistingtheentire
basecounter‐clockwisewhileholdingthelight’shousing.(Seeillustration).MakesuretoreplacethebatteriesinBOTH
“RH”and“LH”units!
2. Connectthetransmittertoyour“four‐flat”trailerplugonthevehicle.
3. Attachthetransmittertosteelsurfaceintherearofthetowingvehicleabovethebumpersothatthemagnetholdsitfirmly
inplaceafterfirstcleaningthemountingsurfaceandtransmitter’smagneticbase.Forbestresultsplaceatorabovethe
leveloftherearbumper.
4. Turntheswitchlocatedonthebottomofthe“LH”baseto“On”.
5. Checkthatthemagneticlightbasesareclearofanydebristhatmayscratchthemountingsurface.Attachtheleft“LH”and
right“RH”lightsonaflatsurfaceasfarapartaspracticalandatanequaldistancefromthesidesofthevehiclebeing
towed.Lightsshouldbeplacedatthesameheight.Donotmountlightshigherthan6feet(381mm)fromthegroundor
lowerthan1.25feet(1829mm)fromtheground.Theentiremagnetmustbetouchingasteelsurfaceforoptimalholding
performance.Placelightstoallowfollowingvehiclesoptimalvisibilityatalltimes.
6. Ifthelightsarenotalignedproperlydetachthembytippingthelighttodisengagethemagneticbasebeforeplacingthem
again.
7. Useatiewraptocollectanyloosecablebetweenthelights.Donotcoverorobstructthelightsduringoperation.
8. Verifytheoperationoftaillights,stoplightsandbothleftandrightturnsignals.DONOTdriveyourvehicleunlessalllights
function!
9. EverytwohourscheckthatthebatteryLEDindicatornearthetopofthe“LH”lightisnotflashingandthattail,leftturn,
rightturnandbrakefunctionsareoperational.IfthelowbatteryLEDindicatorisflashingorthetrailerlightsdonot
functiontheninstalleightnewAAbatteriesimmediately.

10. Switchoffthelightsaftereachusethenreturnthelightsandtransmittertotheoriginalpackage.Ifpackagingis
unavailable,placelightsinsidebagswhennotinusetokeepthemagnetsclearofdebris.Donotallowthemagneticbases
tocomeincontactwitheachother.Iflightsarestoredforlongerthanonemonth,removethebatteriestoavoidbattery
leakage.Storebatteriesatroomtemperaturetoavoidleakage.
ImportantConsiderations:
1. TheWirelessMagneticTowLightkitisdesignedtobeusedwithstandard12‐voltvehiclesystems.
2. Every2hoursconfirmthatyourbrake,turnsignalandrunninglightsareoperatingcorrectly.Donotoperateyourtow
lightsifthevehiclehasfaultywiringorifsomeorallofthelightsdonotlight.
3. BatteryPerformance:Fortemperaturesbelow20°Fbatteriesmayneedtobechangedmoreoften.TheLEDnearthetop
centerofthe“LH”lightwillblinkamberifbatterypowerislow.Immediatelyinstallallnewbatteriesinbothtowlightsto
ensuresafeoperationandtomeetSAE/FMVSS108safetystandards.
4. Donotsubmergethelightsortransmitterinwater.Damagemayoccur.
5. AlwayshaveasparesetofeightAAbatteriesonhand,especiallyiftravellingforanextendedperiodoftime.

White‐‐‐Ground
Brown‐‐‐Tail/RunningLights
Yellow‐‐‐LeftBrake/LeftTurnSignal

Troubleshooting:
1. Ifoneorbothtowlightsdonotfunctioncheckand/orreplaceALLbatteries.Loadeightnewbatteriesbyplacingfourinto
eachbasewithpolarityasindicated.
2. Ifleftturnandrightturnfunctionsarereversed,thenreversetheyellowandgreenwirestothetransmitter.
3. Ifonlysomelampfunctionsworkwhileothersdonot,lookoverthewiringdiagramandcheckthatthefour‐flattrailer
connectoriswiredcorrectly.
4. Checktheconnectionbetweenthe“four‐flat”plugsforcorrosion.Removecorrosionwithbakingsodaandasmall
disposablebrushwhilewearinggloves.
Limitations:
Donotoperatetowinglightsfartherthan65feet(19.8meters)fromthetransmitter.
