Installation
1. InstalltheOzoneGeneratorinanunoccupiedareatominimize
exposure.Theunitdoesnotneedtobeinstalledatthesource
oftheodortobeeffective.Mounttheunitonthewallifdesired.
2. UsetheOzoneGeneratorwithatimingdevicetocontroloutput.
Maintenance
CleantheOzoneGenerator’sinternalcomponentseverysix
monthstomaintainoptimumperformance.TurnofftheOzone
Generatoranddisconnectitfromthepowersourcebefore
openingthehousing.Cleanthebulbandtheinternalhousingusing
glasscleanerand/orcompressedair.Securelyclosethehousing
beforeconnectingtheOzoneGeneratortothepowersource.

• What is ozone?
Ozoneisanaturallyoccurringmoleculethatcanbeformed
byexposingoxygentoultravioletlight.Anoxygenmolecule
(O2)consistsoftwobondedoxygenatoms.Ifanoxygen
moleculeisexposedtoUVlight,thetwoatomsseparate.The
separatedoxygenatomsformweakbondswithotheroxygen
molecules,creatingozonemolecules(O3).
• How does the Ozone Generator work?
TheOzoneGeneratordrawsairintothehousingandcirculates
itpastaUVlightbulb,whichconvertstheoxygenintheairto
ozonethatisreleasedintothearea.Whenanozonemolecule
encountersavolatileorganiccompound(VOC),itsextra
oxygenatomsplitsoffandattachesitselftotheVOC,
neutralizingtheodorbychangingtheVOC’smolecular
composition.Theothertwooxygenatomsremainintheairas
aharmlessoxygenmolecule.
Troubleshooting
•The unit is connected to a power source and the power
switch is turned on, but the unit is not operating.
ToprotectagainstUVexposure,theOzoneGeneratoris
equippedwithasafetyshut-offswitchthatwillturnofftheunit
whenthehousingisopened.Ensurethehousingissecurely
closed.
•The fan is drawing air, but the bulb is not operating.
TurnofftheOzoneGeneratoranddisconnectitfromthepower
sourcebeforeopeningthehousing.Ensurethebulbissecure
initssocket.Iftheproblempersists,thebulbmayneedtobe
replaced.Replacementbulbsareavailableseparately.
